    PhysX3_x86.dll Crash

    My mission is reliably crashing with physx error. I can just spawn in and not move an inch and leave it running an hour or so and usually crashes out. V little grouping (only 2 AI AA tanks in group) but using slot of AI respawning & crash often seems to coincide with that.   7. Hi john no worries, just had a thought that lines of F18s with their canopies open would have looked cool as a mission set piece. Il give the empty ini a go though, thanks for that.

  13. Hi, Bit of a noob here and would greatly appreciate some help from scripting pro's... i have a mission where I want unlimited waves of enemy jets to spawn and respawn. I have a script that shows a map marker that follows enemy jets & a hint that's displayed when jet is killed. All works fine first round but once the jet is killed and respawns the map marker & hints for that unit no longer work. I'm assuming this is because the respawned units aren't inheriting the unit name i set originally. So how can I either set unit name on respawn with current respawn script (kronzky) or is there an easier way/script. I have found semi solutions but they only respawn in same place as destruction. I need AI jet unit to respawn at an airfield withiit's old name. Many thanks in advance
  14. Hi, Iv made a dogfighting mission on Altis where AI jets respawn after being downed on markers using Kronzky UPS vehicle respawn script. I also have moving map markers for enemy jets and a hint that comes up when you kill an AI saying the name of the AI enemy jet killed. The issue I'm having is that when the jets respawn they don't inherit the name of the AI jet that died so the map markers don't work and the hints don't work once onto the second batch of jets. Any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks

    This game is all about raw CPU cuz, the higher you have your CPU clocked the more fps you get. Is your CPU overlooked? my 3750k is at 4.5ghz and game runs ok for me

  17. Hi Saul, Im wondering if you would be willing to make different weapon loadouts available? Currently my mission is all about dogfighting and seems kinda pointless flying around with LGB's and mavericks. Any chance we can get an AA (just sidewinders and amrams) version and AG version aswell as the nice mixture between the two that you have currently. Also any thoughts on changing the afterburner texture? it kinda sticks out at daytime. maybe be best leaving the pipes dark and having a particle effect of some sort coming out the back for afterburner flame. Thanks
  18. Go to steam workshop and download my mission above, with the mod loaded run the mission (multiplayer > new > lan/coop >altis > topgun and u will have multiple F18's and multiple bad guys
  19. Hi, Just to say, loving the mod so far, nice handling & realistic weapon load. Some parts of the model are outstanding e.g. undercarriage and cockpit interior but some areas could do with a v slight improvement to bring them up the standard of the rest of the model. The two bits that stick out the most are the two curves you spend longest looking at. That's the cockpit frame curve & the engine pipe, both seem a little low detailwise h& could do with more segments to make the curve. Hi, Bit of a noob at mission editing and I just tried uploading a jet based dogfighting mission to steam that contained a vehicle respawn script so that when the enemy jets get destroyed they respawn at fly back into battle in a second wave and so on.. When I tried downloading my own mission in workshop and running it through scenarios it came up with an error saying it couldnt find the script but still let me play it, albiet with script not working. So is it possible to use scripts like the one i have with a mission and have it upload to steam workshop and then download and work correctly for others without them having to fanny about with dowloading the script from somewhere and placing it in the mission folderr?     Why wouldn't anybody want to put their mod onto steam workshop? It's a world stage that has so much more visibility than putting it anywhere else.

    Woohoo! That is fantastic news. Steam workshop is the way forward. Soon we will have multiplayer games with mods running and full of people playing. No more getting kicked cos you havnt got the right mods loaded :-)

    It takes a lot for me to complain about BIS as I admire what they are trying to do but this disgusts me. Mostly because this chopper was the first chopper to be leaked way way back when we were all on that big teaser trail trying to guess what they were up to. How many years ago was that? BIS what the hell have you been doing for those years?? Making Altis yes maybe, but surely not the whole team. This is not quality over quantity, this reeks of poor decision making & poor quality control. Now please save some credibility by making a new cockpit. You managed them for arma 2 when you had a smaller team.

    Xbox Controller Better Mapping

    The third party app is great and all but that's not how it should be. Fair enough if I was attempting to get some rare HOTAS stick to work but we are probably talking about the most common input device after mouse and keyboard. Arma 3 in it's current state doesn't fully support it. BIS please for the love of god sort this out. How many new players lured in by your claims off better accessability are going to stop playing pretty damn quick because they can't enjoy easily one of the most exciting aspects to arma, that is, flying and shooting. This isn't rocket science, just give us the perfect arma 2 Xbox controller setup or remove the stupid double bind for right trigger.
