I seem to be having a recurring problem whereby anything other than keyboard commands are not being saved when remapped after restarting windows... I'm using two game controllers, namely a saitek cyborg joystick and logitech momo force steering wheel/pedals...
I saved the arma preferences folders from when I had it installed on XP so I wouldnt have to go through and set it all up again (every button is remapped in my layout, takes quite a while...) Would reinstalling the game and setting it up from scratch be likely to fix the problem? Could this be to do with the fact that win7 hides its mydocuments folder in a different location to XP? Kind of annoying having to reset everything constantly... Any help appreciated

hurray :D
Thanks mate, worked just like you suggested.
I'm new to this level of security, been living the XP dream for many years :)

Pretty simple, gets right to the end of the installation process and then freezes... tried waiting for a while, just sits there in "not responding" mode...
All the data gets copied, but I'm guessing this final stage is where it writes the cd key info in; if I end the program and try to launch the executable it gives me a "bad serial number given in setup" message once it gets to the first splash screen with the bohemia logo...
I have the UK boxed version of the game, I'm pretty sure its a 1.0 version, only identifying marks I can find on the dvd case is "UKL5644"
Any ideas as to how I can enter my serial number into the registry or wherever it gets stored?

Faiiiill response. But, you gave me an idea! I could actually turn read only on so that they don't get overwritten... will report back if this works.
