    Have we collectively decided that AAN reporting is the stamp of truth? If they report on what we have divined from the clues then we are in fact correct? AAN is the De facto nod from BIS that we are on the right track? Or could AAN actually be neutral and simply reporting? (whether we are correct or not) "...trust no-one" As stated many times, the odds are that the yt reference is correct, but we don't know exactly, their purpose yet. I do have an issue with the ASTUTE sub conclusion. I just don't believe that the numbers in the picture outlines a submarine from an oblique angle. I just think it is a stretch. ASTUTE could just as easily be AT UTES. (Someone mentioned this already too) Has anyone overlaid the points from the picture onto the island of Utes? Could they possibly line up with roads or places on the island?

    To those who feel there is not much meaning to Osama bin laden's death, I get it, but think of all the intelligence the US is getting not only from his compound, but from the massive chatter that is going on in the terrorist organizations ranks. Think of how many people previously unknown that have now exposed themselves in the vacuum his death just created. I think a lot of (i)s were dotted and many (t)s were crossed in intelligence dossiers everywhere. I think it is a massive step forward for intel gathering if nothing else.

    I've never had this problem so that is why I mentioned it, but you are probably right. I'm only running CBA, this mod, and the latest beta. I don't see much in the rpt either, but here it is: EDIT: Understood, thanks Jarhead.

    The sounds are truly fantastic. I have, I think, found a bug or two though. After firing some weapons, the very next weapon (and sometimes the second and third) continue to use the previous sound. For instance, I fire the M24 and the next weapon I pull out of the crate will still sound like the M24. Dropping the weapon on the ground and picking it back up seems to rectify this. I am grateful for your hard work, please continue.

    A10 GBU-12 bombs unpractical

    It's in my game for sure. I set up an a10 me as pilot and a hovering MH6 as playable near the oil platform. I lined up, dropped the bombs (missed of course) then switched to the little bird. 1 2
  12. Can this beta be uninstalled like the 'normal' betas? I ask because there was the one patch that took a reinstall of the game to get rid of it if you didn't like it. EDIT: Thanks Beagle

I don't know how many betas this issue goes back, but with this beta playing "Into The Storm" (first mission of Harvest Red) I never get the dialog about the air strike causing too much collateral damage and the suggestion to blow the comms with satchels. Can someone please confirm? I don't want to make a ticket if it's my own issue. Thanks. EDIT: Doing my own testing, the last beta patch that Into The Storm could be completed is 77819. All betas after that one are broken in regards to the air strike/satchel mission trigger. Ticket Made
  15. Ok, I tried one last thing before trying a reinstall. I started Arma CO from the start menu instead of my launcher and everything was amazingly different. Granted, I have not re-played all of Harvest Red yet, but I have not had a single glitch or CTD. I guess I have something pointing in the wrong direction in my launcher. The cause of my problems and yours may be different, but give it a try before you do anything drastic. I am wondering now just how I have been playing (online mostly) at all if I was using the wrong exe. Jeez I may have a whole new game now.
  16. Same here. I've read that others can play fine with 1.57, so I'm thinking about reinstalling. I'm just afraid I will screw something up even worse.

    I see nothing to be sad about. It sounds like and Abrams Tank as it should. Two great modders made a good sound using the same ideal source, I call that smart. Anyways... I was looking for Humvee sound and most I've seen have music dubbed over them instead of the beautiful music made by the 6.2 diesel. Others are nice but they have soldiers yelling, so I searched for 6.2 diesel sound instead and found some various ones. I don't do sound so I guess you will have to be the judge of good or not. Actually some are 6.5L: Good one I think. :D I'm sure there are better ones to be found, but I hope this was helpful.

    Perfect pictures. I'll get on it this evening. You are going to texture it correct? If so, what size do you want the UV map? Also, I've never modeled for Arma, so will obj. be ok, and should the model be 'smooth'? Do I have a poly count limit? The part where the Xs are, and the rubber butt grip marks, with that be done with normal map or do you want it modeled that way? Sorry for so many questions! :D

  22. Hello OP hope you don't mind me using your thread to post about a feature request ticket at CIT concerning vehicles. I am requesting a crawl speed that can be reached by a key to essentially shift gears into low so that tactical vehicles could then creep along at infantry walk speed. I realize you can tap "q" but try that in a Warrior or Bradley... then try it down hill. It becomes an exercise in frustration trying to keep pace with human players when moving as a mechanized infantry team. I think the normal "q" speed/turbo and just normal forward speed should remain, but give us (shift 4) to shift into low, like engaging a PTO. There should be an initial jerk as it kicks in, then a smooth slow (maybe high RPM) movement and turns. RL You couldn't pay me to walk in front of a vehicle in Arma that way. :D He never gains on the guy walking.Anyway, here is the LINK to the ticket. If you agree, go vote it up.
  23. Perhaps with some vehicles, but in a Warrior and possibly the USMC amphib vehicle, (can't recall the name) it causes it to hop and jerk. Going down a steep grade makes it even worse. I believe a low gear would be a great addition over-all. Seems they've had an upgrade or two. When I drove one it had two levers.
