    I like very much where you are taking your mission Rydygier. I've been enjoying it very much. I figured out how to get bcombat to work with it and oh man is it fun in towns. To those having frustrations about restarting, I felt your pain too. I decided to copy the Steam missions to a new folder in my main Arma mission folder (you can make subfolders there) so that I can play it even after an update. Steam puts them in a hidden folder some where under appdata. I currently have 1.41 through 1.61. @neofit I had the same problem with the 'way to thick fog' when playing with TPW. In the vanilla mission he has the fog and ambiance just right, but TPW takes it a bit far. Fortunately we can turn it off in TPW.
  2. I finally understand what all the confusion over your configs is about. I think... Your configs give various weapon addons Massi weapon sounds. It also adds sound effects (not weapon sounds) from JSRS. I know you never said any different, and you wrote it plainly enough but I guess myself and a few other read into it what we wanted to see. There are no JSRS M4 weapon sounds for Arma 3 at the moment, (AFAIK) so you can't offer a config for something that doesn't exist. I was struggling trying to figure out why I got the default weapon sounds for RH and FHQ weapons, but now I get it. Thanks for all of your work and patience lukrop!

    Marked churches give an indication of where you are on the map. Unmarked churches make you figure it out.

    One other suggestion on the 'hard core' mode. Would it be possible to let the player mark off the churches? Oh, for the record the custom content works just fine, as you said it might. The Mag Repack problem was with the mod itself. It only works at the start of the game, not when loading a save game, but the author made another mod that will re-initialize Mag Repack and any other mod loaded; from the escape menu.

    It seems that bcombat is indeed the problem when it comes to playing this mission. Without it, I've been happily playing 1.61 for many hours. I have only had one problem so far, but I'm not sure it is related or if I am just doing something wrong, but Mag Repack hasn't worked the whole time that I've played. I can't remember if I began this playthrough with it installed or if I added part way through. I am having a blast for sure. Suggestions, if you feel like adding to this: Is it possible to add community made content to the loot spawns, like RH and FHQ? Hostages/prisoners to free from captivity and perhaps add to your squad. A possibility, how ever rare, to rearm vehicle weapons. Thanks Rydygier!

    Is it possible that the other two links could contain the old version? I didn't download from ArmaHolic and I have churches not updating and no loot icons after about two hours of play. Also the boat icon is visible on hard-core. EDIT: I recall a mortar option in the beginning so, I guess I have the latest. Playing with same mods I listed previously. Playing on Hard-Core, with companion, "more reliable" caching, and the rest of it is default I think. EDIT2: I just reread first post and perhaps bcombat is my problem. I will start a new game without it.

    Ok, I've been playing for around 6 hours and I can report no problems. The delay average moved between 11.5 and 12.5 and the cycle time 0.3 to 0.4. In the last large city I was in, going in and out of lots of buildings, the delay reached 13.3 average and cycle reached 0.5. I'm playing on stable with JSRS, bcombat, ASRAI, Blastcore, VTS Weapon resting, and of course CBA.

    Sorry, I never tested first X since it deleted loot, or so I thought. So I never really read. I am going back to read now though. I'm playing stable branch, and yes those are typical values. EDIT: Yes your posts were quite clear.

    I haven't gotten to play much. I started about an hour ago and all seems stable except for one big thing. I found a campsite, cleared it, and when I chose to establish it at the fire, I got message spamming that never stops. Something like this: Alpha 1-1 [Alexander Laskanis]: "Delay 16 {Average: 15.0157]" and: "Cycle Time: 0.47951" This continues even if I save, exit, and resume. However, I have no problems with churches updating or loot spawns out of reach. Good fps (40s-50). I'm going to start a new game and avoid establishing camps so I can test further. EDIT: The message spamming happened at the campsite even though I didn't interact with the fire.

    Thank you Rydygier. The mission you created allows a lot of tools that Arma provides to actually be used and needed. FYI I am playing on old Core 2 Duo (no hyperthreading) cpu I build in 2003. The gpu is new though, a Geforce GTX 660. I will upgrade sooner or later.

    I know the test version is for "testing", but I like knowing I can mark some missile ammo on the map, or I can create a stash I can get to later if needed. In my opinion deleting boxes is best left to the player selling them. Or let me mark places as a stash that will not be deleted. In 1.4 I started in the south and walked the whole portion and when I got to the main body of map I chose to move west in a vehicle. By the time I made it half way up the west coast it was evening, getting dark and thankfully I had found night vision equipment. This was in one sitting without quitting game and I never sold any items. I played for a very long time and had my map marked with lots of stashes/vehicles. I never once had a church not update or box land on roof. That all started with 1.5+. Question... Are the boxes generated over the whole map on mission start? I ask because maybe if I leave off all mods on game start then the mission has my cpu full attention. Once I play for a few minutes, then save game, and load mods. Of course this wont work if boxes are generated as player nears locations. What ever the case, I enjoy your mission very much. I like finding loot and selling it or keeping it. I like to know if I go west I must deal with APC and if I have no RPG, I go east instead. I start with no items because once I have a map and compass I must work out where I am by triangulation. (If only boat marker were gone) Do as you will, it is your mission and I am a fan of it. Thanks.

    I started a new game and left the multiple camps off. I had normal game play once again. The only negative I can report is that 80ish % of all loot in a two story structure is spawning on the roof and is unreachable. I wish there was a console command in Arma to let me get on roofs that have no ladders.

    The only lag I have ever gotten playing this mission (mainly 1.4) was at mission start, and I chalked that up to things initializing. I played 1.4 for 8 hours plus without issue. 1.51 is where these things occurred. There were some rpt entries referring to (I think) discription.ext, but I played more than your mission so I can't say for sure what the errors were about. I will start a new game and get a new rpt.

    Same thing for me. Playing with CBA, ASR-AI, BlastCore, JSRS, STHUD, VTS Wep-Resting. Gave myself AI mate, multiple camps, no items, and the rest default. I am no longer getting Icons showing loot, no messages, no church updates. I searched the better part of a town and found no crates at all. I think something is broken. EDIT: I reloaded the game and went back to places where I had killed AI and marked loot. The only thing that is still there are vehicles. The dead AI and marked loot are all gone. Even the static objects and weapons were gone. I'm playing on stable branch.

    This! Please, this. On another note, is there currently a way to stop AI mate from scanning horizon or watching a direction once he has been ordered to do so?

    I am obsessed with your mission. I play it everyday. Please continue and also make more missions. We need missions that are different from the norm and this is quite different. Thanks for making and sharing.

    Vehicles need gears

    I made a similar request 2 years ago for Arma 2. It says it is assigned, but I'm not really sure what that means. I was asking for a low gear that would roughly keep pace with infantry. https://dev-heaven.net/issues/17962

    Customization not included in alpha?

    I can place backpacks on the ground via the editor, but in game I can only open them. Shouldn't there be an option to grab/use them?

    Yeah BIS, you have done an outstanding job with this alpha. I truly hope you have record sales, but don't get any big Ideas like selling out to EA or some shit like that! :)
