    Glad you made this post, LJ. I wandered if the new BIS sound changes was strictly a pain in the ass for sound modders or if there would truly be some benefit to modders such as yourself. Could you expand on your opinion a bit? For instance, could there be some FPS savings with their new sound engine (if I can call it that) when using sound mods?
  3. Resting shouldn't give the same amount of 'steady' as deployment, but as to the downside... When you stand against a wall your weight is automatically distributed to it even if you're crouched and it is just your butt touching it. The moment you step away from that wall, the weight of your ruck and equipment is back squarely on your own two legs and your aim is less steady. Edit: I think the amount of "steady" you get from resting should almost equal being prone, what ever stance you are in. I think that deploying should give the same amount as prone and limit you to an arc of fire both laterally and vertically, and of course require a button press.
  4. Please keep resting as a separate function from deployment! Resting should be a natural and intuitive action. You are probably doing it right now as you type; your elbows on your thighs or the chair arms. When you move to a building corner, a hesco barrier or rock, steadying yourself from the breathing movements your body makes is simply what you do. Between gravity and your arms/hips/legs/feet, your body does this automatically. It doesn't require a button. This game function should remain automatic and completely separate from deployment which should definitely require user input/button.

    I agree, all the parts are in place and your mission is outstanding, no doubt. The absolute only thing that I ever wish I could do is gather a proper squad from the local population. Perhaps in the next project...? Wow! I have not gotten that lucky yet. I did one time get a guy to walk into a mine I had set (two actually) on right and left of a house I was behind. I fired a few rounds in their direction and one came too close and boom! The others wouldn't come the same way though. They flanked wide around and I killed one as the other killed me. I swear it's like chess sometimes.

    I think the rules should always be 'mostly' logical. Leave the illogical as interesting options. I enjoy very much solving the mystery of where I am on the island once I've found a map and compass (so I requested this option) even though it's pretty daft to be on this adventure without the proper gear.

    Does anyone know if I add RHS to a current play through, will the items be added or will I just ruin my game? I died just walking stairway the other day. It was right after a very satisfying victory over several chaps too... FYI, to anyone curious about AGM compatibility, I've been playing with AGM: Core, Ballistics, Explosives, Grenades, Interaction, Map, Night-vision, Movement, Rag-doll, Recoil, and Top-down Attack pbos without any issues, at least that I have noticed.

    I can't help but think there is something wrong with how you are loading the mods. No offense. You might try removing everything referring to a mod from the launch parameter (actually I would remove everything in it) and starting the game with the default method. Then click configure, then expansions, and enable/disable them each there. Restart your game and see if that works. That will at least eliminate a syntax error being the culprit. Best of luck

    I did miss some of the old music, thanks very much for making this. I have a request though... :D The config in it's current state wont auto play during themed moments like stealth, combat etc. and there are time and format errors. Would you mind correcting those so that they will play correctly during missions? I'm basing this info on a conversation in the Pilgrimage single player mission thread here. Thanks again!

    I can live without AGM while playing Pigrimage if I have to. The features I like a lot from AGM is the handling of explosives, the way you can choose which charges you set off and when. Also the grenade toss being changeable. Other than the map/compass interface being larger for my 'old' eyes, and what I mentioned, I don't use any other parts in single player environment.

    Hello Rydygier, I've been away from Arma for a while now, but returning and really enjoying Pilgrimage again. I am glad to see you are still developing it and Congratulations on being a MANW finalist. I sincerely hope you win! I am trying out mods and I would like to know if there is a specific way to tell if the mission is broken when using, for instance, AGM? I am trying to isolate which parts (pbos) of AGM are causing problems with Pilgrimage. I read one post where you said something about not having music at the start of game and referencing AGM. I'm currently playing with CBA, Dragonfyrelite, various HCL weapons, ASDG/JR/JM/Attch, bcombat, Mag Repack, Moduload (for re-initializing after loading save game), Massi's SF/Spetz Weapons, Grace Weapon Sway, and AGM with some pbos removed. So far while playing I have had one icon with no loot that I could find, and one beginning of mission with my AI mate 16 km away. I've had several other test runs that went without issue at all. Game play is very smooth. Your coding seems to be excellent! I have also loaded a mod that has the old Arma music tracks, and though I don't often play with music, I am enjoying it presently. Is there a way to get the new/old tracks playing as well? The mod is called Arma Music Pack on Armaholic. Thanks, Khugan

    I was a member briefly before everyone drifted away. The few times I got to play with the group was an absolute blast! Unfortunately I had to start working more on weekends and couldn't continue. Glad you started this thread! EDIT: I remember Paragraphic, Legend, Ollem, Philly, Wilbry, Remo... Oh man, there were many others but my memory is failing me.
  17. Resting a weapon IS passive. Gravity does the work. I don't see why a button should be involved. Now deploying a bipod...? yeah, give me a button.

    I didn't consider the fact that some loot spawns are intel and perhaps I should return to locations and look more carefully. I have not found any intel, laptops or otherwise in buildings, so that could explain it. I can only say that I see no boxes in those locations, none on roof for instance, like before.

    I LOVE the chopper response!! This is hands down, the best mission I have ever played. Seriously, you have something really special here Rydygier. The only bug report I have after 4 hours of play is that about 1 in 10 loot spawns is unreachable. God this is incredible!
