  1. That folder doesn't exist. Should I create it?

And out of curiosity, with no mention of this (only a link to the modfolders faq) in the online Installation Instructions and no included readme file, how was I supposed to know?

    yes create a folder

Many mods come with user config files that have to be put in the correct place with named folders, I guess its common knowledge for ARMA 2 modders. Many things confuse me, but this I have down, haha.

  2. I'm not sure what you mean. I posted the current file path location. What is the correct location?

All I did was move every folder in the .rar archive to a mod folder. Shouldn't everything already be in the proper location?

I copied the files from @ACE configuration folder and put then in my user configuration folder, you have to copy these files below from your @ ace config folder to your main user configuration folder. The mod will not load without this.

    ace_clientside_config

    ace_keys.hpp

    ACE_ serverconfig.hpp

    ACE_tracking.hpp

  3. Just downloaded the basic ACE2 file from armaholic. I put all the files in a modfolder called @ACE and entered the proper command line in the shortcut after the beta patch, vopsound and CBA.

When I run the game I get this error: Include file userconfig/ace/ace_clientside_config.hpp and not found and startup quits.

Thing is, that file mentioned in the error is indeed present.

    Arma 2>@ACE>userconfig>ace_clientside_config.hpp

Make sure you have the user configuration files from @ace in your main configuration folder not just @ace configuration

  4. Well the save game issue is still happening without the ACEX_SM and the ACEX loaded. Crashing on vanilla scenario missions and all others I have tried. This is without the ARMA 2 beta patch. With the beta it is till crashing but the loading bar goes all the way full before stalling as opposed to no beta it stalls in the middle? Wish I had more time to help figure it out maybe, but I have to dig out of this snowstorm, we got 26 inches.

  5. Ok, after a brief testing, it seems like it happens only with missions that are "Made for ACE" in prior updates. I tested with normal SP missions like Devil's Peak and they resumed correctly. Only those Made for ACE ones like Road to Freedom didn't.

I tried it with sick's seal team 1 and 2 campaigns and it did it there as well, not sure if that means a whole lot though.

OK. I tried a bunch of vanilla missions from the game and those crashed as well when loading a saved game, tried devils peak with ACE mods and could not load a save in game or out of game.....hum?? I have tried many missions with mods or vanilla ones and can't load a saved game. well you got devils peak to resume, means somethings wrong with my files I guess?

  6. @Steve, I made a quick research on this error elsewhere in this forum and it seems like in this latest update, there is no way to save SP games at all. I will test it out and let you guys know my results. If verified, I will put up a bug tracker.

Thanks man,:), hope the the team can solve it, I am caught in a brutal winter storm right now on the east coast in old America, boredom may set in:D

  7. ACE is still under beta now guys and is being updated almost on a daily basis with elements being included and taken out all the time. As such, please try not to play long campaigns or missions with ACE which you see yourself saving and then coming back another day to resume as it may not be compatible with the new updates.

I agree, however my saves that I am getting freezes on are all from 10 minutes ago. I have been tyring figure out what the problem is for 2 hours now, none of my load saves that are crashing are from prior versions of anything. Unless all the SP player missions currently available for ACE are incompatable with in game saves there may be a bug?

  8. Did you start the single player missions without ACE2? If so you need to restart the missions with ACE2.

No, I am using everything up to date, it is crashing in every scenario and in the ghosts campaign when I use ACE to load a single player save. Everything works great for mission critical elements except this I believe.

I have all the updates, and I have just tried all the single player missions available for ace with the current files from today( no prior saves) and they are all crashing during load save. Can one of you guys try this just to see if it is not me that has messed something up, I am out of ideas? I think this is a bug, but I could be wrong.

By the way there are no error messages, just locks up with the loading bar about 3/4 done.

  9. It is a great mod, but will CTD tyring to load a saved single player game every time:confused: I don't think its anything I am doing as I have all the updates, and I run no other mods in the single player missions available for this except the ones required. I can't really play unil this is fixed, this mod is too damn good, I will never play without it again.

  10. So it sounds like the new seals 3 will have ace and all the weapon selections!! That will be great

With this snowstorm heading our way in the eastern US hope we get that sealteam 3 mission this weekend!!!!!!!! No pressure though:p:)

    Hey Sick1

The ACE mod is so good, wondering if you were planning on updating seal 1 and 2 with that? Or is that possible without alot of problems? Anyway thanks for your work once again, other missions don't give me nearly the options yours do, I think that is why they have such high replayability.

  11. I can't find the claymore explosives? I have the chemical flares and tear gas bomb, just don't know if I messed something up?

M16A1 Antipersonnel mine... can't find this

M18A1 Claymore mine... or this one

    POMZ... not finding this too

    M49A1 Tripflare... or this one:)

    and lastly can't locate these:

    M2/M4 SLAM.

but I have this: M86 PDM

Any help would be great, what an outstanding mod!!!!!!:yay:, I just need to become educated about it.
