  1. At the risk of being redundant, I am having problems with sound and video.

All I get is screeching, broken words, and flickering video.

    I have tried the following:

    1. soundEnableEAX=0

    soundEnableHW=1

    2. Decrease game audio level

    3. Update Creative X-FI drivers

    4. Create an Alchemy profile

    5. Adjusted game volume settings while in game

    6. Disabled CMSS-3D

    7. Installed arma2 1.04 patch

    I modified the shortcut to:

    "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -winxp -maxmem=2047

The -winxp switch as made a dramatic video improvement, but I still get some flickering.

    I have (2) questions

Can the sound/audio problem be related to the 12gb RAM?

Is there a fix and/or patch if the 12gb is the problem?

    My config:

    Windows 7 64 Enterprise

    EVGA X-58 Classified

    i7 940 OC @ 3.64

    12 GB Corsair DDR3

    Fatality X-FI Pro Titanium

    Logitech z5500 5.1

    Dual Nvidia 8800 GTX (191.07)

    Matrox TripleHead @ 3840X1200

    Sound Issue ****RESOLVED****

The z5500 and X-FI Fatality both support 24 bit 96000 Hz.

Arma2 supports up to 24 bit 48000 Hz.

Changing the setting in Controll Panel, Playback, Properties for default Device to 24 bit 48000 resolved the issue.
