Hi, this is getting boring, just bought Arma 2 today and wish i hadn't bothered, I can't install it just like you guys and it's now October!! The same fault is still here, I have never had any problems installing any games or apps ever. i am on XP Home and my PC is fairly new and very fast. I have 2 DVD drives and the install fails on both drives. If it fails again I will try and copy to HD, if this fails its back to Game for a refund and I wont be trying again, life is too short. Get a grip 505 Bohemia or whoever is to blame - you must have a solution by now???? Seems to fail at Characters 2 or Chernarus data layer, not always same place NEW!! I have got it working: I had an external USB harddrive, so I copied the Arma 2 DVD across onto it and thenran install onto my primary drive from the USb drive instead of via the DVD and it worked fine.
