  1. yeah the HC is on the same serverbox as the game server its goin to connect to.. i just cant figure it out for the life of me.. i remember in the A2 version of TADST it had a setting for the acutal HC client, where as the A3 version just has a setting for the server its self. maybe i need to go back to the old school method and set it up via .bat files.
  2. figured this would be the best place to ask, i have recently started to look into setting up a Headless Client via TADST, and for the life of me i cant seem to understand the ip situation... do i just leave them like this or what do i put in each line?
  3. yes, they work in the current version (2.8).
  4. make sure from 2.7 to 2.8 you have deleted your profiles and remade them in 2.8.

  6. ah, ok.. thought i was for sure doing something wrong lol.
  7. maybe im just doing something wrong, but i deleted all the profiles i had set, remade them using the 2.8 client.. but the custom difficulty does not seem to work it just revets it back to regular (set default diff to custom in diff menu and then also on the misison tab for selected mission) further testing shows, i can set the mods i want.. load the server up.. login via console and then do #missions and set the difficulty that way and it sticks..

Tophe, i spent a good 48hrs after the update trying to find any sort of official docs on the new changes, and i think that there lies the problem (have not looked in the last few days) but i did eventually find out what the server spits out to the arma3profiles file. https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/101123-tophes-arma-dedicated-server-tool-tadst/page-53#entry3014432 sorry if the formatting is horrible, i know little to none about the actual coding/format on how this is all made.. but in my 2-3 day search is all i could really find... hope it helps. as for the actual update, what ever is easier for you, does not bother me either way.. just glad to know an update is soon coming :D

  12. yeah me to, since i posted i have been tryin to get a server setup with out the tool, but got it to run and load up, but the difficulty modifiers cant be changed still ;(
  13. i can get it to work with the default difficulty settings, but when i modify them, the changes dont apply.

  15. ah. i just took the example one BIS has listed on the wiki, in combination with a .bat file a friend of mine uses for their group.. slowly modifying it for our group. been so long since i ran a server this way :(
  16. guess in the mean time will just have to use the ingame menu to set the difficulty settings (#missions screen, game options, difficulty) till TADST is updated.
  17. i tried the format you posted above, the issue i run into is for the shortcut for a3server.exe, in the target line, i run out of room lol
  18. i believe @aliveserver is only really used for the WarRoom thing, and like you said Hero, the persistence thing, but only in the sense of saving each clients location and vehicles when they log off. im pretty sure its not needed for the normal ALiVE stuff.
  19. didnt have any chance to try it out today, should later this weekend though, assuming they dont update TADST before then :)

  22. yeah i have ran a .bat as well, but when i change the difficulty modifiers (from the defaults) none of them work.. guess we just live with what we got till its fixed :)
