It's my thread, I don't care if people talk about something other than what the title says. Chat away people. :)
And ArmA II is just like a better version of Operation Flashpoint, it's still on topic because it's a Bohemia Interactive game and you can have pretty much the same experiences in both games, peace.

If you use Teamspeak, I had the same problem as you. If you're in Teamspeak, when it goes distorted change the playback method to your speakers instead of headset, then change it back. It works for me and I get to keep my sound in-game, hope this helped.

Crysis isn't a higher specs game. I can play Crysis with everything on Very High but I can only play on normal/high on ArmA II.

I've just had this like two minutes ago, I changed the graphic settings and then 5 seconds later the whole screen went. I also had that icon in the lower right corner, does anyone know what it is?

Alright, I tried it and it ran pretty much the same. I've got the SAP Clutter and FPS Helper mods both running now and my FPS has shot up. Thanks anyway guys.

Hi all, back in my day of WoW I was told by someone on there that running games in windowed mode can increase performance, is this true? I would check myself but my machine is defragging at the moment so it wouldn't be an accurate comparison, thanks in advance.

Hi all, I've only just heard about Operation Arrowhead. I've only had ArmA II for about a week and this expansion looks cool. I found a video on YouTube which was only added today so I don't know if you have all seen it yet. Here's the video.

As far as I know, it's meant to be a simulation. You need to know where the enemy is at that moment in time. Not some Hollywood actor to make a whole dramatic scene about it.

Hi all, your moment sounds pretty funny, I can imagine it being more funny at 4am and being drunk though haha. My funniest moment was when my friend was telling all his AI teammates to eject and they all splatted onto the pavement, that was when I first ever saw the game.

First, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Mark but obviously my username is BushWookie. I have only recently started playing this game and I have to say it's probably the best game I have played, ever. I got my username from the Battlefield Bad Company 2 term "bush wookie", based on snipers who just hide in bushes and spam bullets through others skulls. Anyway, I would like to ask, what was your first ArmA II experience?
Mine was watching my friend play it for the first time (he got me into the game) and he was just showing the command system. He was in a helicopter as a pilot and was telling all his AI teammates to eject, it was so funny as they were not very high from the ground so they were pretty much just splatting as soon as their parachute deployed, share your first time as well please. :)
Oh, I did play Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis briefly a while back.

The ./del button on the numpad is for high command, where as the space bar is just for commanding.

I'm pretty sure they don't and I'm pretty sure I'll get another infraction for posting it here, this is usually the most view forum (arma 2 general) so it can get seen quicker here, then moved to the OA thread. If it needs to be moved, then it can.

You need to press the fullstop button on the numpad to go into command mode, then try the shift + LC, it might work.

People pick on me because of my name all the time on here haha, it was from when I had just came from CoD onto ArmA II and thought I was a smartass so I created my account in that name, I think CoD does things to your brain, hate that game. ;)

I've had some funny times on ArmA II, it's solely because it's such an unpredictable game. One of the funniest I've had was when my old clan decided to go on a normal Domination server (I think it was the SOCOM one) and I decided to grab a jet and follow my clan around in hover mode, we got to the objective and they were awaiting extraction after completing it. I was still hovering above them and one of the guys decided to throw a grenade up into the air, the grenade didn't explode but still hit the jet which actually made me crash into a farmhouse thing. Anyway, the guys were pretty annoyed because the explosion off the jet wiped them all out. You would have to be there to find it funny really.

It gets explained in every single thread, but for the record here it is again. The game strings loads of words together to give you the information you need about the situation, if they recorded a audio file for every single situation possible in the game, it would be a huge file.
