    Hello all,

    joined your community just a couple of days ago (hadnt heard of arma2 for some reason but loved OFP) and am already overwhelmed by the mass of support, addons, tweaks and most of all maturity and kindness of this community :D Its great.

    Had the same issue as overdawg with the files but its working fine now and I love it.

    Especially since A2 runs so smooth with kju's low plants/buildings... Sincerest THANK YOU man. Am advising all my friends who joined my A2 craze to get it as most of us play on older machines.

    EDIT just patched to 1.04 to get into online gaming. first I tested other stuff and the view distance mod didnt work anymore ... thoughts ??

    Objects detail is normal. View distance is 3600

    Its true it looks pretty ridicolous.

    To get on topic, I felt that some of the thing the OP referred to such as fixed animation steps keepin you from moving smoothly around corners and such arent present when walking slowly, especially in crouch mode.

    Not being able to dive in crouch run should be adressed, with everything else I am happy and feel immersed like ever in the series :)

    Vehicle movement is a different story, I hate it but prefer walking anyway.

    Ferrando thank you for those tips, they came in handy :)

    I already figured out how to send units... but how can I CREATE High Command groups?? Is it even possible?

    If its not (which seems to be the case) this needs to adressed in a patch ASAP ! As it kinda takes the point of earning money and waging war away. One should be able to completely stay out of the fray while sending large platoons at the enemy or rebuild all troops from scratch.

    EDIT Ok nevermind it appears to be impossible. That takes a lot of potential out of the high command module... looks like the modders are needed here :/
