Don't need to be a UAV operator, spawn as whatever you like and get a UAV terminal from a weapon crate (I use VAS so I can't specify the exact ammo box) and drag it into the GPS equipment slot. There are three varieties to match the factions, each individually coloured and will only operate the correct sides UAVs and UGVs. To get these I just spawned all the operators and took their terminals after killing them, then saved in one of my Saves for VAS. Beware of the armed UGV and UAVS as they will fire on enemy factions, putting an enemy Dart at your feet can result in almost having them blown off. All in all, good fun to be had with the new toys. :)

They are welcome to try, I tend to run at them anyway. Being slower means they get to enjoy life that little bit longer. I find the current fatigue settings acceptable and I like to carry everything including the kitchen sink. I can't even sprint at all with some loadouts, I can't complain though, fair is fair.

UAVs, the most fun I have had with my clothes on. Couple of questions though, whos clever idea was it to have Stevie Wonder as their driving instructor? BIS, when oh when are we going to get a Fixed Wing control config? I would like to use my joystic for them.

There should be multiple jets in the release version
liquidpinky replied to Marioshata's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
looks like it has jet engines to me. -
Air Power of 2035... Can a Subsonic jet (ALCA) hold up?
liquidpinky replied to CaptainAzimuth's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
The one reason everyone seems to keep forgetting, VTOL. ;) Bet it is a flight characteristic problem currently with the PhysX implementation, possibly why the Osprey is cut too. -

I would prefer more transport aircraft than fighters, better for missions and like Comp_uter15776 says it will boring walking and even driving everywhere to objectives all the time. -
Laser Designator has both NV and TI built in if you want to test them. I would have liked an LMG, Designated Marksman and an Anti material rifle for the Green Team among the weapons on release. Can't win them all I guess.

Maybe a side effect of stiffening the suspension at higher speeds and causes it to raise while doing so. Perhaps suspension travel limitations need altered to keep the maximum height equal at all settings.
-
They cant sprint anymore, at all. All your movemnt factors will be slower thanks to the higher encumbrance levels also, not just running but all actions will be slower. What loadout fits all that gear, might try it myself. :p

Not very wise, interiour light on would effect the drivers night vision, both natural or NVGs and it would make you an easy target like you had the main beams switched on. Only completly sealed compartments should be lit, even then there is always the risk of light escaping and making you a target. Sometimes a bright glow from a vehicle instrument bulb is all it takes to make you a stand out target at night.

what types of DLC would you vote for?
liquidpinky replied to Tyl3r99's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Although I voted for DLC akin to BAF and PMC, I would hope they would introduce new, improved or community requested features while releasing it in the form of Lite versions of the DLC so all can benefit. -
Maybe tried to raid to much gear off the guy and gave yourself a prolapse, the footprints were caused when walking backwards with your own internals and shit being trampled in by your boots. The footprints disappeared thanks to the Mediterranean heat drying them up pretty quickly. Just be thankful they haven't simulated smell in A3 yet.

Ehm, yes. The A2 way. My problem is that some people will push for it to be as heavy handed as it is in BF3, which I just found to be detrimental to enjoyable gameplay. We have others here wanting it to make things harder while combating AI, which I think should be an AI issue. It is like taking a car into a garage with a flat tyre and preceeding to ask the mechanic to fix the brakes.
-
A2 had suppression before BF3, I would even go as far as saying Dice copied it from A2. But then they went and overdid the effect. A2 suppression level is fine, BF3 is not. If it is an option, has it been confirmed I dont know, then I will indeed have no problems how it is implimented into the game.

But then shouldn't you both be asking for improved AI, not some blur effect that will effect everyone's game experience. I am all for improved AI.

Triple screen setup "pop up" problem
liquidpinky replied to KastaRules's topic in TAKE ON MARS - GENERAL
I have created a ticket for this on launch day, Carrier Command has the exact same problem and it still isn't fixed. I hope the ToM team can sort it out and maybe get the CC team to fix that too. Vote here: http://mars.takeonthegame.com/feedback/view.php?id=24 link to pictures of issue in my Steam account included. -
I can also go 100 for 4 in a lot of games, not respawning isn't a problem. Also, aiming is a real skill, suppression effects are not real and only serve those with no skill. If someone is also stupid enough to stand out in the open while being fired on, let them, they are easier to hit than when they are behind a rock anyway. Those who don't hear the incoming fire, well I can on an aged old pair of stereo headphones, ask yourself this "what the fuck is wrong with my hearing and is it time to get it checked out?" I stress again, A2 levels of suppression are acceptable(I won't say fine as I still hate them) but BF3 levels take the absolute puss. To the point some players would kit out with a silenced M60 for purely going on a suppression griefing spree.

Women Soldiers and Civilians slated for Arma 3?
liquidpinky replied to themessenjah's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
You should know better with a name like BigBoss, you have played MGO haven't you? -
Wasnt intended as a rant, more of a pisstake at someone saying it was a poor weapon and just stating that the MXM is a capable weapon and one I actually find very accurate. Be it against AI or human targets. I just stopped using at because I gained no satisfaction from kills.
-
Get in vehicle, switch to third person. Bam, PIP is off. I don't see why it needs a wasted key combo though, your PC either handles it or it doesn't. Surely you will know what is the case quite quickly and set it up in the settings and that is it, end of story?
-
You mean the same MXM that I stopped using because it was so piss easy to get multiple kills without even worrying about having to reload until I had used up 100 rounds(approx 40 kills) ? You are right, it needs balanced.
-
I guess you never tried being fully loaded and noticed that you are completly unable to sprint now in the latest Dev Build? As usual, talking about sex and never had your hole yet. And yes, lets copy other "authentic" games as they deemed a shit effect to be a worthy addition. BIS need to innovate instead of copying shite, which they tend to do thankfully. I can put up with suppression to A2 levels, but when it goes to BF3 bullshit then it is time to uninstall A3. BF3 is uninstalled BTW, as is Origin. EA get not one penny more from me thanks to suppression and pishy blue filters. I vote with my wallet.
-
It is usually supression lovers who miss, they need the crutch to buy them time to get the second shot into a helpless target. Might as well be hunting defenceless animals.
-
No sign of it there for me, killed it trying to set resolution more than 1x on a triple monitor system. Is that the full path shown above? Got it by searching for local within my steam main install folder. The launch shall not be aborted for minor technical difficulties.

Streetlamp + chemlight upgrade - Beta 1
liquidpinky replied to sakura_chan's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Nice start sakura, if you attach all four colours of chemlights in the same place is gives off a nice white light. ;) Brian, try this from an old post I made in the Scuba wrecks topic. It creates a white light with all four chemlights so you can trim it down to specific colours you need http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?147933-How-many-underwater-wrecks-have-you-found-)&p=2324937&viewfull=1#post2324937
