f...k Optiwands, fluid and non-retarded flashbang entry! Did we really played the same games?- Suspects in SWAT 4 were moving, patrolling, and they were placed randomly, especially when you used mission generator. - Tangos in Raven Shield did not, or very sporadic (in campaign only), yet in Terro Hunt mode they were placed randomly. So it's probably 2:1 for SWAT 4. But hey - both games are great :) -

agreed :) Btw, when I launched Vegas 1 I was disgusted by absolutely everything in the game, except that one thing... AI. I was so happy they finaly take cover, move, flank and work in groups (kinda) I have to say I was astonished that they had to make a stupid console-friendly shooter to finally make more human AI... because yes, I'll stand up by that statement - Vegas 1/2 AI was best in the series and that's a pretty bad (for Raven Shield). Vegas 1 was seriously broken, Vegas 2 is really ok, it just shouldn't have the R6 title. The only bad things I recall about the fun-action-game Vegas 2 are: - broken laz0rs (with laserpointer on You've got worse accuracy then with off) - worse terro hunt spawn system then in Vegas 1 - stupid and too slow R6 AI operatives (especially annoying in terro hunt) - no SDK? or community that would make ton of maps - R6 in the title And bad localization because god knows why Ubi loves contracts with full-localizations, at least in this region. Other than that, it's really a pretty good teamplay shooter, You might have quick and good fun, and that's ok with me. I just wish there would be Raven Shield 2 (or 3 because there's 2.0 already ;-) ) Oh, and one more thing. I really don't understand what's the problem with making "good old classic style game". With a bit of work and letting the client customize the thing to their needs, you can do a product that'll satisfy both groups. Wanna have fast fun? Load up a mission, get preset plan or no plan at all, get preset people, arm them or also get a preset, press go, go gun blazin'. Or even do a "quick mission" mode, SWAT 4 like. Damage? You can easily set 2 or 3 options, or limit it by a difficulty level. AI accuracy\reflex? Also difficulty settings. And aiming were never a problem, so... most guys would probably love a newer Raven Shield simply because of the ability to customize and utilize a shipload of great (modeled, textured and even animated) guns, plus pasting walls with people with Benelli was always such a good fun. Fans of "counter terrorism stuff" would get a great game for some quick action, more advanced coop or even complete strategic planning for those, who want. It can be pulled off even on the consoles... if you would try, actually. I often used Raven Shield just for the "quick fun", with no plan, just going in and doing mess as good as I can. And it was really good even that way, actually, and many people loved that too (public servers meh). That's why I can't understand why nobody (excl. BIS, but that's another story) have the balls to make a games that'd follow the spirit of the classics. Allowing server-side mods or mutators on MP and You'll shortly have "max realism" servers and "arcade run'n'gun" servers. It's really not that hard, and have been done in the past, it can be done again and bring some fresh air to the tactical shooters. It's just that stupid fact that every greedy, "evil" company looks on that stuff extremely short-sighted and I hardly can understand that... fast cash, no hard work... duckin' buisnessmen. -

Errr... what?Dude, cmon. I love Raven Shield, but AI is far, far, FAR better and challange'ing in Vegas'es... Not to mention the king - SWAT 4. -
63 % accepted if I read it good... which is a really big percent. Imagine things like removed... no evidence, no crime, right? No things to defend you against the authorities. You guys are f..ked, and sadly, we can be next.

Thanks for the info and confirmation about the capsule software.

The M4 guy looks like he's not wearing a bulletproof vest, yet there are only like 3 of them, in 1 car. Where's the rest of the chase? Pretty big cojones for going in without a vest... If those 5 would be armed and desperate enough, those guys would have a problem

Origin fail ...... best promotion for arma 3?
ACPL Jon replied to Daio's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Might be taken as a troll post, but it's not; Frankly, am I the only one thinking that if ArmA 3 would focus on large scale combined force battles, instead of Special Forces actions again, it could be a much better choice for a wider amount of gamers, also ones disappointed by BF 3 (those would probably complain about the setting, just like me :P) or searching for "more big battles". -

Yes, and You can even notice ruMpel @ 0:31. Now who knows, who is the guy and why he's a legend? :) -
Actually, no.Look @ shots of anonymus vs scientologist church demonstration. I'm not sure if we should take this as official Anon statement, especially that I doubt they go for the leadership scheme. And there's a big chance of NWO-freak in every "subculture"; I'm tired of NWO shit so I didn't watched it and the second one is created by voice-creator which makes it totally worthless and lousy. But well, don't You like the idea of anonymus people who tend to fight with goverment elites (which we all know or guess do milk the rest of the humanity), censorship, injustice? (Even if some of them would love to go for full anarchy or chaos, some would burn the churches, media and kill all gov, etc... there's freaks in every group of people) Well... I do.

MacPharlan, You can always use some addon that cuts off radio voices and turn the chatter off from the screen, in game options. ...or just tell Your boys that swearing is awful and only p*ssy would do that. Or something ;)

You got me wrong. I also think MW1 was pretty ok (SP Campaign, modding tools), even tho it started a bad trend in CoD history (MP being total, sensless, DMish, mayhem and "let's just do even faster and more explosion-intensive campaign!"). I didn't played it much, it pushed me out very fast... CoD: BO was good in SP (many good ideas, great setting and story, fun gameplay, zombie mini-game), but it's MP and whole DLC thing sucked... just like MW2 and most probably (to me), MW1. Not long ago, friend showed me CoD: WaW. There was nothing really cool about it, until we fired Coop. And then I couldn't understand, why noone ever thought "hey, let's do cooperative CoD with ability to make new coop maps, they'll love it!". The same goes for EA MoH: Airborne... It could've been big. -

BangTail, afair it's not about using real data, it's about scanning Your computer (Steam did the same in it's first versions), that's why people call it spyware. And then no, it's not ok. -

That's like... obvious. But it started the whole degradation of the series, methinks. Btw did BO guys finally got Mod Tools? -

Noone ever said CoD is realistic, apart from the trolls. The biggest problem with CoD is the fact, it was good some time ago, and even the multiplayer in the first one (dunno about 2nd) had a great gameplay, maps and was demanding in the tactical matter. Current ones? Well... It's more about how EA treats customers [Kotick's ideas, CoD Elite, overpriced DLC with ported maps, non-evolving game, MW3 being MW 2,5, etc] and the acceptance of the "interactive cinematic" model... -

Looks much better then older SP trailer\gameplays -
To sell it. Greatest "questionnaire" ever... without You knowing. Dunno if in the west or anywhere else You have such a saying, but there's one good quote from the "red" times in Poland: "Give me a man and I'll find the article on him". Bulldog may sound a bit paranoid, but it's the same case as with Origin or Steam in his first days - there's a reason for a "spyware" term. It's because of "I think I don't have anything to hide, so it's ok" attitude govs and companies are walking in boots into Your life, because people show they don't care. And so, You can expect more surveillance in the future, and that's really never a good thing. I dislike facebook, so I'm even more curious what will happen in November, unless they burn the servers and all the backups it's impossible to destroy something as big... pitty, I'm all against things like FB, not only because of the "they'll sell your info" thing.

Not true. Not being able to interrupt the reload animation or tank AI crewmen shooting through smoke was really a pain in the ass.But hey, they still didn't fixed the server browser?

they put down the bug videos, threatened\payed? heh... the Gridiron propaganda is what makes me hate EA even more. -
I think the mods aren't gonna like this. But before they delete\paste it into a main thread, no worry Achilles, it's not only Greece. It's silent everywhere, I guess even in the US.
