The flight model has been updated so required runway take off length has been increased a little bit. As for you issue with GBU/CBU; are you using ACE? I noticed this issue while testing things with ACE on Dev branch before the 1.82 patch released today.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the majority, if not all, of your shots missed and that is clearly visible. I am practicing right now and within a well placed hits the AI is ejecting. In some cases I'm even getting what can only be described as 'critical hits' and the aircraft is exploding almost instantly. Another easy example to see this is to simply place down 1 jet in front of another on the ground and shoot it. At most it takes about 20ish rounds to kill the A-149.

Are people playing ArmA 3 vanilla?

I'm getting close to 5.5k hours and while I do play quite a lot with mods I still absolutely prefer vanilla. If you put a gun to my head and told me to pick only one mod it'd be a radio mod. -
Are you in the wrong forum or is that just a pointlessly hopeless comment? It breaks my heart that most peoples responses are negative. Especially when this isn't that bad an idea. I hope others can see how firing two primary weapons simultaneously would be insanely fun, firing rpg's from aircraft seems considerably less interesting to me. I think the beauty in Arma is best shown in short to shorter range as well as equipment improvement, I want to combine them.

Given that these tanks are equipped with thermal optics that suffer from 0 resolution loss and can see for literally as far as the players view distance is set I'm okay with the infantry having this minor advantage.- 328 replies

I know this issue is probably small fish in a big sea but would it be possible some time down the road to have the 2 Remote Designators updated so that the UAV operator can lock their camera to terrain like other UAVs? Currently the UAV operator has to remain in the optics mode of the designator while lasing otherwise the turret AI takes control and reorients the turret back to starting position. Would be useful for scenarios featuring an advanced recon team and a Rhino laser guided ATGM. -

See above comments and you can use that script to deal with the dismounting crew. The damaged tank remains but the crew dies and respawns with a fresh tank. -

Tanks - tracked vehicles driving and handling

This is a player option in the menu which from my rusty memory is called Vehicle Freelook and it allows the user to steer the vehicle with the mouse when turned off. By doing this you lose turret control if you're driving the vehicle from the commander/gunner slot. My recommendation is that you do not turn off Vehicle Freelook. -
Just a quick mess around with the Blackfish on Dev branch showing off the updated UI/HUD elements and FCS that makes annihilating everything a breeze.

Just a very minor request if possible: can the two gunners seats in the Blackfish (Armed) please have NV mode enabled as well? Currently its only DTV/BHOT/WHOT. This would work well with ground forces using IR lasers to indicate targets to an orbiting Blackfish. -
It already is possible. As mentioned above you can use launchers from FFV positions in the following vehicles: Offroad MWB 4x4 Quilin Prowler

Ripper! Appreciate this greatly mate! Additionally, within that function I've added a small sleep command on line 17 so that when the jet is respawned the pilots still have a chance to eject. I found that without it the exact second a jet was found to be !canmove the pilot was killed which didn't allow him to eject. Here's my tiny minor change. This works a treat for tanks too which is fantastic. G'day @dreadpirate Still loving your script and I use it in pretty much every mission I make now. I'm looking for advice on how to best use this script with vehicles; particularly tanks and jets/helicopters where players might destroy or disable the vehicle but the crew/pilot survives. JEBUS won't respawn that unit until the players hunt down and kill all the crew correct? A good example is jets; players might damage the enemy jet enough that the pilot ejects but unless the players then also kill the pilot, that jet would never respawn. -

So Scalpel missiles might need a slight adjustment to their maneuverability. The first target is destroyed while launching at almost 90 degrees while the second target is launched with the target 180 degrees behind me. -

So it's been a few days since they mentioned the Soundtrack for Tanks has been added. Was this meant to be only in game or should those of us with Supporter editions have them in our Bonus folder too? Just wondering because some of the new tracks are fantastic but I can only really listen to them in editor. -

I'm glad we've got you around for this empirical testing; I just like to blow stuff up. It's nice to see that mobility kills will become a lot more common rather than outright catastrophic destruction. Appreciate it mate! -

G'day @Strike_nor any chance you could do some of your fantastic little testing with the Scalpel please? After the latest changes I'm seeing it do almost no damage. It took 2 to kill a single Ifrit or Tempest. -
