  1. CCGM has the most amazing atmosphere, puts you under the illusion that you are actually there. CCGM has such potential it's a midges widge from becoming a classic. I hope the devs can see this. It's different to what gamers are use to these days that's all, but that's a good thing. It's not over till the fat lady sings. BI can swing this around to become major sort-after title. They have the game, now all they need is good PR and a good patch.

    So what happens now?

F*** me NO. They can't, just can't give up. I absolutely love this game but am waiting for the fixes before I carry on, as saves probably won't be compatible. Get those darn fixes in, and CCGM is pure gold, and will probably live on for a thousand years.
  3. It saddens me because this is a tops game, and if they had planned the release better, and fixed the obvious bugs, it could have got itself stuck in the Steam top 10 along with Arma II. A chance missed. Maybe when they get things fixed it will start to sell well.
  4. I really don't know. BI seem to be all at sea with this game, patch's, PR and stuff. It's like their manager has retired and no one else has a clue what to do. Very good game but a very bad release.
  5. I know it's a pain in the bum, but if you reinstall the game it should work again. Doing this got me past the crashes.
  6. - Enemy carrier will not run away when the player arrives to defend his island I hope it does run away if it's looking at defeat, or they are going to be very short games. :) Maybe giving the enemy carrier the ability to re-spawn would sort this out.
  7. What do you think this is? Day Z? Where there was a forum thread dedicated to the patching of Arma II, for the specific reason to make Day Z work, and where there was a undated patch practically daily? Well it isn't so there. This is just plain old Carrier Command:)

    Real Anti-aliasing?

I must have heard at least half a dozen dev's from various games say the same thing. But you only have to compare a screen with FXAA and the same with your normal AA, to see that the normal AA is far superior. So I have no idea what these dev's are talking about.

    Real Anti-aliasing?

Best thing. These days most games are s****** f******* b******* console ports. So having a card that supports higher shader's will give better graphics because it gives you higher or better AA. It's not all bad. You can pick up a 7850 or Nvidia equivalent for around £150 or less. I think you are looking for something with shaders between 4 and 5

    Real Anti-aliasing?

It did looked awful. Jaggie's everywhere with my old 5850. Now, after upgrading to the 7850 it looks quite nice. I think it all has to do with shaders. 4 and up work better with FXAA.
  11. Any chance of posting and updating a changelog of what you have fixed/ are fixing, so as to give us some idea of how things are going? The game is going of the radar, we need something.
  12. Tut! Some people have to much time on their hands. :)
  13. Carrier Command GM, simply the best fresh baked bread you can buy. Call me crazy mad nuts, but I put CCGM as the game of the century. Well it will be once the patch magic happens. The game should have received at least 9.5/10 from every review unless they were crazy mad nuts.
  14. Plan for future patches. After two months of in-depth research we have found that the walrus path-finding is at fault for the walrus's strange behaviour. We hope that after a further two months we should be able to determine how the path-finding is associated to the strange behaviour. In mid 2013 we believe we might be able to locate a dev no longer playing DayZ, who can confirm our findings. If all goes to plan we are happy to announce a path-finding patch before Christmas of 2015. Love a Non-dev. XXX
  15. To many games these days all about challenge and more challenge and even more challenge, It doesn't matter if it's a game of turd throwing, as long as it's challenging. What happened to the days were they made, and we played, games that were fun and enjoyable and most of all, entertaining? Challenge was a after thought, if that.
  16. I wanted to play Carrier command not call of duty. :) The fps parts were a pain but the campaign is still very good and fully enjoyable. I would play it through again without hesitation.
  17. I hated the fps parts, and got through them as fast as possible. It would have been much better if they had made these parts into a movie or use artwork and a narrator. I feel that the fps parts do more harm than good for the well-being of the game.
  18. I hope this patch hurry's up. I'm getting tired holding the rioters back. :)
  19. This is why we must wrap it up in bubble wrap, keep it from harm and close to our breast, we must protect it and nurture it without question, because there really is no other game quite like it. ;)
  20. I must be slipping, or getting old. For once; I agree with everything a game developer said. ;)
  21. Yep, I can see that the rage being primary over the price, it was a bit steep. They were the wrong side of 30. I can't understand the upset being over the game itself, that is brilliant.
  22. Carrier Command GM is everything Carrier Command was and more. There are a few details that need to be ironed out, but that is neither here nor there. It will get done. Just how much more could they have added without ruining the concept that made the OG a classic.
  23. Exactly. The largest problem being the pathfinding which is not all that much of a problem if you are enjoying the game. I am actually finding a lot more bugs and annoying glitches in the new Xcom.
  24. Yeah! I may be inclined to have a good rant, if the crack on my Mickey Mouse computer hadn't cracked my pirated game properly, and the malware and virus's from the said software, were using my computer as a playground. :)
