Yep! confirmed. visual bug is still present and it's a bad one. I really thought they would have cleared this bug up before releasing to Steam. Now there will be hell to play.

Thank you. It's really good to hear that you are continuing development on this excellent game. It's great fun to play as it stands, so any extra bugs cleared and any additions can only make it better. I think when a lot of people actually sit down and play the game instead of moaning about it, they get to love it.

Bugs in 1.05.0026

After trying out both 1.4 and 1.5-beta, I can confirm that there is a serious lighting bug in 1.5-beta. It appears to randomly switch from normal lighting to pitch black and then near screen white-out. This does not happen in 1.4 at any time. AMD 7850, latest drivers, no problems in any other game. I have tried adjusting all of the graphics setting without any success. -

I don't know, it's not so simple. I mean your islands in the OG were basically football pitch's with a mountain dotted here and there. In CCGM, you have actual terrain. As for the enemy carrier's AI, yeah, I have to admit I have seen it cheating were it's suppose to be thinking, pretty dense actually. I guess we need as much imagination with this one as we did the OG. :) Still love it though. -

Patch 1.05.026 Dialogue in campaign far to low. Can't hear a word over sound effects and/or music. When my view gets anywhere near the sun/horizon I get screen white-out. Can't you turn the bloom down a few thousand notches. It could have something to do with this (Game is frequently alternating between extremely bright and extremely dark.) which happens to me all of the time. -

I remember buying a second copy of the OG, because those days it was the only way to get the patched version. The first version was bugged. How many actual versions followed that, I don't know as I didn't have the money at the time to buy another, but I do remember quite a few crashes and reloads. At least these day's patch's are free. Anyway, how big was the OG in k? It must have been around the same size as CCGM splash screen. I bet it was a lot easier to debug in comparison to today's monsters. -

Those days, hardware was basically in it's infancy, the dev's did what they could with what they had. The OG CC, was a classic and a massive breakthrough in computer gaming and terribly addictive. But when you think back to when you use to play the game, 90% of the fun was had by the players imagination, the rest supplied by the software. These day's it's all done for us. That little blob of colored shimmering pixels, could so easily be transformed into a mighty carrier with all it's assorted bits, by the imagination. :) -

Yeah! I recon there is a silent army of fans that check daily for updates. They are a silent lot these carrier commanders, but they are there, I can feel their eyes watching me. :rolleyes: -

Just as it sounds. It's mod-able. The music is great. I get as much enjoyment if not more, from CCGM, as I did when playing the OG. -

I love this game so much. I don't know what people are complaining about. I mean it's more than playable, just needs a bit of tidying up that's all. It's mod-able, It looks great once you get use to the graphics, the music is great, and most of all it play's near as damit to the original. People should be lapping it up not complaining. They don't know how lucky they are, getting a remake of CC. Spoiled buggers. ;) -

Actually, I'm not being harsh, I am being kind. This game is not even in the same country as a gem. It's a buggy mess that burned a lot of people, my regret is that I didn't buy it on steam where I may have got a refund. I know at the time I was astonished that BI associated themselves with this game, it didn't do them any favors. The one and only thing I did get from this thing, is a few laughs by the antics caused by the atrocious bugs. :)

Bought this turd on release and can tell you.....This game is the worst, and I mean the worst game that I have ever bought and I have bought a lot of games. It's laughable really, you can't really call it a game, more like one big frustrating mess.

Yep! Sometimes I wish I wasn't so honest, then I wouldn't have these stupid issues. I bought the game, it's suppose to be mine, for crying out loud. -

Nar, I have updated some of my hardware and re-formated a couple of times, but it's always been on the same computer. -

Thanks xBeastiex. I have contacted BIstudio sales support, is this the right one? In the mean time I cannot play. Hard to believe there are still publishers out there that are living in the past, still punishing their customers for buying the game. Ha! And they still wonder why sales are rock bottom even with the latest customer wrecking DRM.
