  1. That said, I don't think any pack really has a nice MK18 10" AND properly ballistic-ized ammunition or for that matter, a 300BO variant such as the SIG MCX in 10".  (With proper damaged ammunition as well)

NIA is close though, and does best in terms of ammunition handling, and is modular in its application to the size of the pack.

Personally, the smaller and more modular various packs are, the better.  Instead of Tryk, which is large and has a ton of crap you don't want, you have MGP for Vests, you take Uniforms out of RHS, and add in Helmets from X, scopes from SMA+functions mod, etc.  As it is now, you can get up to 30 different addons and not really be interested in using but a few megabytes out of some of them - crucial megabytes though, because the first rule of operating is to look cool.

NiArms has a really cool Honey Badger chambered in 300blk, with supersonic and subsonic rounds to choose. Robert hammer AR-15 pack has the honey badger too, but I think Niarms version is slightly better.

I'm making a SIG MCX, but as I never modeled nothing before, it'll take some time.

Currently I'm learning how to use Blender...

  2.

Sorry if i'm being rude. I don't want that. Just talk about how mod and game works.
English is not my native language i dont know if have a misunderstand.
I don't know other way to talk about that

I know what you mean... sometimes I see some inconsistencies with weapon mods, for exemple some add-ons show the 7.62x39 with lower impact than 5.45x39.

But I trust the modders, and usualy their weapons feels great in gameplay. SMA is a terrific mod, actualy my favorite (I also like Niarms and RHS). So, don't trust the arsenal impact bar.

  3. .300 AAC Blackout uses a 7.62mm projectile in a cut down necked up 5.56x45mm cartridge, thus making it a 7.62x35mm round. Yes in RL they weigh slightly more than the average 5.56mm round, but not by much. The recoil on 7.62x35mm is actually LESS than 5.56 or 7.62x39 as they use pistol powders to attain their velocity, this is also what allows them to be used effectively in shorter barrel lengths such as 9 inches and 13 inches with minimal loss, especially when compared to 5.56x45, 7.62x39, and 7.62x51.

I have actual first hand knowledge here as I have shot .300 Blackout from both an 11 inch barrel and a 16 inch barrel AR in both Supersonic (2400 ft/s) & Subsonic (1090 ft/s) with andwithout an AAC 762 SDN-6 Suppressor, the recoil of a .300 Blackout round is a "gentle" push where as with 5.56 and 7.62x39 it's more like a shove, and with 7.62x51 in short barrels is like a punch.

Wow thanks a lot for your reply. I would like to shoot rifles and experience this but in my country only the bad guys have access to them...

So, can i disregard the impact bar? Does the 300 blk is stronger than 5.56 in arma3?

  4. The impact bar can be quite misleading-also it does not show things like armour penetration. There are a few firing range scripts and missions around that show the actual damage done by each weapon. For example-if you have the SMA mod, they have a test range with this function.

LOL, I made the same question on the SMA thread. When I select 300 blk, it shows a smaller impact than any 5.56.

So, I'll not trust the impact bar anymore. Thanks!
