  2. A new SLX was just released and it's been tested with ACE2 by the author. Most stuff made with CBA should work too. There is no official list and most people only know about what they've tried themselves.

    Don't keep spamming for answers. We saw it the first time. Most people won't answer this cause it's not really possible to answer at this point.

    Ok will do and yeah sometimes when i get something in my mind i can be a bit impatient, sorry.


  3. Ok i'm happy to report the Hellfire missle fix works, my AI gunner is now hitting targets as he should.

    I also noticed on the chopper in your test mission when the gunner is firing the turret the sound of the helicopter itself stops

    So you don't hear the blades spinning anymore, i think it happens when you are hearing the effects of the turret rounds hitting the ground


  4. Thanks a lot for that picture! We might have an idea what this is causing, we are confirming it as we speak.

    Okay not exactly what we thought, but we have nailed that bug now too. The problem was only with AI and Laserguided missiles.

    Tomorrow's update will include it.

  5. Added the same test mission now with AI as gunner, http://dev-heaven.net/issues/9326

    Targets are destroyed, no matter if I use 114K or 114L.

    Your AI does not hit and destroy targets in that mission?

    Added a 3rd mission, where you spectate as Civilian, while AH64 and AH1 ai's are taking down a lot of Armor.

    I did the civilian mission and i saw a hellfire explode right above a tank, not doing anything of damage to it..

    It looks like airburst but hellfires aren't supposed to do that

    Look i took a screenshot: (look at the dark cloud, that's where a hellfire exploded above the tank doing absolutely nothing)

  6. It's all good. I woulda told you but I haven't tried as gunner yet. I'm curious to see what you find out.

    Well if i gun it seems to be working as it should..

    When the AI guns it's still the same though, maybe AGM-114K hellfire 2 isn't supposed to be used against armor but against infrantry?

    It explodes in the air so maybe it's airburst?

    EDIT: apparently not..

    Seriously can someone try flying a chopper with this missle and have the AI gun and see what happens?

    Sometimes the missle hits and the target is destroyed but 8/10 times it just explodes above it and does nothing..

    Works just fine. Are you sure you're not referring at T90 with Shtora anti Missile system?

    I'm certain it's a T72 mate, i played Operation flashpoint for years so i know what it is :)

    I will try the test mission now, let you know what happens.

    You put me in the gunner position, i was talking about when the AI is the gunner..

    How do you even lock something as a gunner?


  8. chances are the target was destroyed, but there was no "catastrophic" destruction and explosions etc. If possible try inspect it closely, it should show signs of being heavily damaged. Vehicles dont always make a big boom with ACE. A top attack is standard for hellfires afaik.

    I dont believe the AI gunners use the different LOBL/LOAL modes, they basically use it as if it was vanilla arma2 for them. I could be wrong...

    Heh it was still shooting at me like it just rolled out of the factory lol..

    Something isn't right i'm afraid.. :(

    I think the hellfires are exploding above the T72 instead of hitting it on top.

    What's up with that?


  9. Hmm now i can't seem to take down any tanks.

    I'm in an AH atack chopper and i'm engaging a T72

    I shot about 4 hellfire missles on it which all hit it and it was still as far as i could tell in perfect shape..

    I did notice the hellfires flew up high and then hit it from above, is that a bad way to take out tanks?

    So i assume my AI gunner is using "LOAL-HI - "Lock on after launch - high" mode launches the hellfire which flies at a high altitude and seeks its target designation after launching.

    For all LOAL modes the target should be locked in or painted very soon after launching to maximise the chance that the missile will hit the target."

    How can i make him use another LOAL?

    Thanks in advance, the mod probably works as it should and i'm just missing something please help me out.

    I fully reinstalled the mod and it works now, the first time i downloaded it on Armaholic, it must have been a old version.

    The Six updater could not even properly update it so a reinstall was required.

    I can now succesfully fire the Hellfire missle.

    Btw is the only way to select a target by pressing 2? (I'm quite sure the "next target" aka tab by default is removed)

    Also, is this mod compatible with SLX?

    Do you need a external soundcard to properly use the HIFI sounds?

    Oh and are some units from vanilla ArmA 2 removed?

    Describe how youre attempting to fire them, please.

    e.g. Cobra or Apache, LOBL/LOAL, AGM114K or AGM114L, laser designator on or off. Etc.

    Cobra, i select the hellfires, i select my target which is a tank and i wait untill i get the visual indication it's locked and i fire, they just fly straight ahead like ffar's

    EDIT: i'm going to totally reinstall ACE with Six updater, what do you recommend ACE mod vanilla, ACE mod official beta patch or beta official beta patch?
