Arma 2 to OA: Import controls?

[Arma 2 to OA: Import controls?]

I need to no if this is possible as well. I tried copying over the my documents\arma 2 but no luck. And unfortunately I do not have my old arma 2 installed anymore jsut the files for it, so starting it up and copying over manually will not work for me.

I have been using the siteke 52 pro and have not had any problems with it, it is way better then my old stick so.

Keep in mind that when you install the game it creates a profile that is the name of hte user running hte game. so if your user name is hte smae name as your old profile it might be it. But if you have already thought of this then sorry i cannot think of anything else.

[Porblems with Color teams]

thats the issue i am using your profile. but like i said before if you read it. When it selects the team, it does select it, but it goes back to the 9 menu instead of going to hte root menu of commanding. So if i use the 1-9 keys it does it in the 9 menu instead of giving the command, this seems like a game error to me.

And sometimes it works but the vast majority of the time it does not work.

[Windows 7 and Arma 2]

i used windows 7 32bit, and i just put windows XP 32bit, and i plays about 50% faster, i gt about dobule the FPS and i cna put it on higher graphics, with the dobule FPS unchanged.

and hey kklownboy, you should ram disk your extra ram, and only put the highly used files in it. aka tarrian and infantry, and other graphic files that are accessed all the time.

p.s but that is not to say windows 7 is not good, it still ran great, and i had minimal crashes. It was very rare but it did happen.

that is really wired, i will play with it some more and see if i can figure it out. I copy over the file but everything is fine except the controls. I no my profile is loaded because i have the save games and such. i only had one profile in my old arma 2 so.

[Porblems with Color teams]

Hey all,

I just started using hte team colors but i seem to be having a problem with it, maybe it is a bug maybe it is just me missing something.

When I assign a team you hit 9 then which ever color you want, i got that. But to select the team i am having alot of issues with, i can hit 9 then 9 to go into the team submenu, then which ever team i want. It selects the team but it goes back to the root of the 9 menu, and it does not alot me to issue any orders, aka space and the the number keys do not work like they would if you had just selected the whole team or some guys in ht team. What am i doing wrong????

how can you select the colored teams without using the shift f key methods? I wanna get it setup on voice commands so i need the number keys to do it.

umm see i copied all that stuff, and it still has the defualt controls, even tho it did copy my saves and such.

i even tried renaming my old one to my new user name and pasting it into the folder and still did not do anything.

any ideas?

is there a config file that holds all the control configurations in arma 2.

I just installed windows on another computer and would be nice if i did not have to renter all the controls i had.

ya i found all that stuff, with ease, in fact it was the first thread that came up, i am jsut wondering if anyone got past the win7 issue, i think tho i am jsut gonig to install win xp on this computer with win7 and jsut use it in that. i heard aram 2 runs better on win xp anyway hehe.

[Warefare Skirmish Addon]

Hey all,

I am pretty new to the arma 2 scene, but i have been loving it so far.

I had an idea to just make a mod that used the warfare style of play, in a skirmish environment. so you have like the USMC and the Russians start is somewhat random positions, and then can build up bases, and the objective is to capture like 6 to 10 cities(and cities would give you more moeny), and ultimately kill the other team.

I saw that in the arma 2 demo they had a scenario like this, and to my disappointment they did not have one in arma 2.

So I am wondering if anyone has done this before, and if so where might I get it, and if not would it be hard to make. I have made simple missions in the editor, but I do not even no where to begin with a project like this so any help would be nice.

Now i no that a few months back soemone release there profile for PiLfIuS, but it also failed to work with windows 7.

Ya i remember seeing those videos, that is what makes me so excited about it, sounds like it would be fun and easy.

I have been looking into speech recognition software and i have been trying ot set it up with arma 2 with no luck. I was wondering if any else has done this before and with what programs. I am running win7 32bit so that rules out PiLfIuS. And VAC cost moeny so i would perfer not to use that. If anyone has any other programs/profiles could they let me no about them.

Now that i got the new joystick and the trackir, i think the only thing missing is the voice commands now :)

[Arma II is going on the shelf...]

i personally think the problems have to do with the nivada drivers, becuase i had the defult drivers for my 275 one and it ran somewhat low FPS so i turned off phsyx and updated the drivers and it ran wayyy faster but now it crashes alot. and i notice that everyone here has a nivadi card so far so.

[Squad member issue]

Sorry not sure if this is the right place to put this, but i cannot find a good place so here goes.

I am playing the campaign on arma 2, mission is razor's edge i do believe, it is only like the 6 or 7 mission. I am trying to find the shark guy, and i am driving around, but when i dismount my squad, my sniper random starts moving in a direction, almost like he is sneaking around. If i tell him to stop he says no sir, and if i tell him to regroup he again says negative. What is wrong? it is really annoying because i try to assault something and he walks through the enemies not even caring about them :(

I get the feeling that it has something to do with way-points being set or something stupid like that, and on that note can you set way-points for them to follow? and if so how do you delete them?
