    Wow! Sexy sexy work :D

Oh no I didn't mean it like that. I love the Spectre!

    United States Air Force( 2015)

One thing I haven't seen people mention yet is there are some soundbugs on the AC-130U Spooky when using JSRS, so not the Spectre but the Spooky. The sound assigned the Bofors canon is the same as the internal sound of a tank canon. However this the sound doesn't cut when shooting in full auto so the sound effect start stacking if you catch my drift. The sound effect takes longer to play that to take a shot. This isn't the first time this happened and I find it very strange that the Spooky has diffrent sounds from the Spectre. Furthermore I was wondering why there are 2 AC-130's to begin with and why they're so diffrent. Don't get me wrong I really love AC-130's but the where the Spectre seems to works fine for the most part with LDL's excellent script, the Spooky lacks all of that functionality.
  4. ARG!! DO WANT!! I was hoping so badly for Bohemia to create an arctic terrain and introduce artic warfare into the series with the new upcoming DLC, but instead it was Tanoa which also looks really cool but its not scratching that damned arctic ich I've been having. This looks really promesing though, I was wondering if you're also incorperating other features of cold weather warfare such as sound dampening by snow and diffrent bullet trajectories due to dense cold air.

    C2 -Command And Control

See now something like this should really just be vanilla, the AI command system of Arma is horribly outdated and flaud. But its great to see that you've tackled it and by the looks of it pretty much solved it. However I must ask if this conflicts with AI mods like ASR and realism mods like A.C.E. 3.

I can confirm the issue with the smoke grenades but other than that the smoke of burning vehicles looks like this for me: http://i.imgur.com/Mv3ATUM.jpg (127 kB) Which seems fine to me honestly :p

Elaborate on the smoke, axactly what doesn't work? And I honestly think the halo on the flares aren't that bad: http://i.imgur.com/YUkGaR1.jpg (114 kB) I can still see my gun, my hands and the sky so its not like its blinding everything out.

Yeah that's what I said, Cryengine has a bright future ahead with games like Star Citizen and Armored Warfare. Its also being used to in the military training software Realtime Immersive which renders large open maps, war FX and all the other things a game like Arma might need.

    US Destroyer Ship (WIP)

Oh wow! Will it serve a purpose or will it be more like a bit if eyecandy?

    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

Yeah eyecandy, that's precisely the only thing its good for, Frostbite is useless for a game like Arma. I'd rather see something in the new Unreal engine or perhaps even Outerra.

I'm really liking the look of that bridge, keep it up dude :D

Who said I was talking about an update? Arma 3 isn't going to change, but surely there are going to be more BI games in the future right? Honestly I think its about time to say farewell to the RV engine and go with something more modern.

    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

Probably because its just absolute painstaking work. There's no real particle editor available for modders and no way to test them quickly in game so everything is done thrue config files and the game needs to be restarted everytime you make even the slightest change. Its just very time consuming and very difficult. ---------- Post added at 01:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:19 PM ---------- I just hope that in the near future the Arma dev's get there heads out of their asses, recognize what this mod brings to the game and how its loved by so many, and finally get rid of those horrific vanilla particle effects.

    United States Air Force( 2015)

Its only affected over 1 axis at a time and its not really a particle simulation.
  16. CyclonicTuna

    United States Air Force( 2015)

Sure it is! Here's what you have to do, rebuild the entire game in an engine that allows for dynamic particle simulation on a massive scale and then just ask Fuller to port the mod. Simple as that.

He's said that before and he's always come back at some point, we'll have to wait and see I guess. But if he really is quitting Arma than perhaps we'll see somone else create an FX mod, just because someone leaves doesn't mean the mod is doomed.

You have to load up one of the Arma 3 campaign missions, the one called "Air Superiority". When you start out and you see the Artillery firing in front of you. The black boxes appear when the gunflash of the artillery passes in front of on the missle trails of the rocket artillery.

Gah! It looks so awesome with the shockwave effect and everything. I'm thoroughly in love with Blastcore :P

I haven't noticed them yet. EDIT: I did a little test, it seems the black squares do still appear in some cases, but it does seem to be less prominent though.

I love the jet sounds LJ! Really impressive, I have just one suggestion though. It seems to me the sounds are just a tad to clear and to loud. It seems to me that a jet pilot with a big helmet on would hear the engine's and the air rushing over the canope softer and more muffled. That's just my opinion though, food for thought :)

You should take into account that the top picture was taken at sundown/rise at very low light conditions. On top of that it doesn't seem like a very good camera that took the top picture, so its easily over exposed in those conditions. The bottom picture looks like its taken by a reporter with a very good camera during the day when the sun was out. These two pictures are not very comparable in that respect. Besides that I've never heard one type of liquid fuel burning brighter than the other, diffrent colours sure but I think all fuels who are liquid at room temperature burn pretty much equally bright. The only fuels that I can think of that burn blindingly bright are solids like Magnesium, Aluminium or Iron infused fuels.

I know I'm probably gonna get another warning for this from the moderators, but you know that that's a bunch of BS. The first thing you submitted to Steam workshop and Armaholic contained Blastcore content without permission, that's why it got removed. Now I'm not going to comment on what OS might have said to you because I wasn't there and I know nothing about it. But I have been on these forums for quite a while now, I've even had some private message exchange with OS and he's always seen like a well mannered guy, ofcourse anyone has a breaking point and you might have pushed him there. If you are making your own visual effects package from scratch I wish you all the the best sir, and I really mean that. I wouldn't mind 2 competing FX packages because competition breeds exellence, but don't pretend you haven't made any mistakes in the past because you know that's a lie. And if you ever wish to regain any respect you would at least awknowledge that. And I don't know what kind of alpha modder you think you are also involving Lord Jarhead in this, but I'm sure you have a personal life to, which can affect how much time and energy you can spend on something. So to say that you lost respect for someone after they decide to take a break (because Jarhead is actually already back again) is plain incompetent and disrespectfull.
