    Agreed. I don't necessarily think the aircraft are overpowered, more the lack of a real threat. There isn't really an intergrated radar system that encompasses both ground to air, air to ground and air to air combat in Arma.

    ARMA 3 Addon Request Thread

    I have a request to fix something that has been bugging me eversince I started playing Arma. One of the most annoying things to me is that you can't slide or trample down a steep hillside. When you want to go straight down a steep hill fast, your character starts doing this weird slow pase, as if there aren't any bullets and missles flying around your ears. Sometimes the best tactical solution is just to get the hell out of the way, and more often than not you're prevented from doing so on a steep incline. I don't need to aim I just want to get off the damn hill!!

    Oooh, that has gotten my attention. I already thought the AC-130 was brilliant with LDL script, so really curious to see how you've improved it. Speaking of gunships, I don't know if you've seen BI's latest dev diary. But we're also getting gunships in the APEX expansion. Except in n the form of a large VTOL aircraft. Sort of like an MV-22 meets AC-130. Now I don't know how BI is going to implement their version of a gunship, but I can't help but think they have also developed their on script which allows the player to both fly the plane and fire the weapons just like in LDL's srcript (perhaps they use the same system they have for the UAV's). Is this going to affect how to play with the USAF mod AC-130 you think? Or are you going to keep developing it your own way?     I realize this is an old thread but this mod was broken with the new visual update, any chance of it getting fixed? I really liked it.

    Jus a heads up. The new 1.60 update has broken te mod. Gatling gun on the A-164 no longer works.
  8. Is anyone else having trouble with collapsing the search function in the object type tab in the attributes window? I'm running several mods but none that alter the editor, so I doubt that's the issue here. Whenever I open attributes of a vehicle the drop down list of the search function in the object type tabe overlaps the other function, and it won't go away so I can't acces them.

    From what I've gathered? Sick of Arma 3's updates breaking every Blastcore build, sick of the tedious process required to make these effects in the first place, sick of people stealing his work, and particularly sick of all the drama that ensues after people stealing his work etc... Can't blame the guy.

    Helmet Mounted Displays MOD

    After installing the latest version of this mod I noticed that the aim on the gun of the A164 is completely off center. But I mean WAY off center. Its like the gun is mounted on my left wingtip instead of under the pilot seat. Is anyone else having this issue? It might be worth mentioning I also have the Might GAU mod installed for the A164, don't know if that could be throwing it off somehow.

    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

    As far as I'm aware the problem is that there's no dedicated FX tool for modders. In other words all the FX have to be replaced manually by changing the source code, which means you pretty much have to restart the game each time you change something to check if it works, which as you can imagine is a tedious process.

    Really awesome to see how much effort you're putting into this project. The F-15 might be my all time favorite strike aircraft. I do have one suggestion though. It was a bit unclear to me in the video you posted which pylon corresponds to which weapon selection. Would it be possible to hightlight the pylon you're attaching a weapon to when selecting it in the drop down menu?

    US Naval Warfare Pack [WIP]

    Nice work! Quick question, will there be a misslebox included for the mod or are you guys going to use default Arma munitions for the mod. If you guys want you're own misslebox I might be able to help. I'm currently studying game art in college and recently learned how to texture and model on Autodesk Maya. I'm still a newb but I think I can handle simple shapes such as missles and torpedo's. I'm looking to get into modding myself and thought making a custom misslebox might be a good place to start. Its just moddeling and texturing though, I can't animate yet. Let me know if you'd like to see some of the stuff I have made so far so I can show you guys what my current skill level is. And keep up the good work!

    US Naval Warfare Pack [WIP]

    Its a shame to think we might actually have had subs in Arma 3, BI made a pretty cool model for a sub that's in the game, but its just a static object. Makes you wonder if they actually had plans for a sub. I'd actually love to see it done in the APEX update. I think Tanoa is prefect for covert ops night time marine operations coordinated from a sub, SEAL gameplay all that good stuff :)
