    A-10C for Arma 3

I wouldn't count on it though, in my experience a week is often a rough estimate.

The gears already make sound, and the camera shakes when you fire the gun. However, on large passenger aircraft its often more notisible on touchdown because they're a lot heavier. Yet in proportion to their size, have much less gearsurface.

Did you know that everytime you name DCS on this thread <that being an exception for demonstrative purposes, a kitten is boiled alive in hot oil?
  6. Not really, in Arma 3 the F-18 barely pushes the sound barrier. Whilst in real life the F-18 manages mach 1.8. Almost 2000 kph. Same goes for the SU-35. Only in Arma 3 the Su-35 has a tighter turn radius and slower stall speed, which is pretty much what it comes down to in real life aswell.
  7. Because they're not the same?
  8. Perhaps they should make me moderater then ;) I apprecaite you're concern but anyone who knows me on the forums or in real life knows that I don't kid around with these type of things. What you see is what you get, I don't twist words in order to make it sound more appropriate. So what If I get a few infractions, at least I'm honest, I'll never bullshit you. This guy was calling Spartan and Sauls work out for really no reason, and calling it a "joke" and "laughabale" is totally uncalled for. If I report it, he'll just get a message from the moderators that he shouldn't do it again, and he'll never understand why. By confronting him directly, I hope he understands his mistake. I was confronted in the same way many times and It has showed me often times that there's no reason for critisism without substantiating it.
  9. Is it really that hard? I mean, you went to kindergarten didn't you? They explained what all the funky symbols mean and how you should pronounce them. I should have seen it coming though, join date Dec 2013, let me guess DayZ? Ofcourse it hasn't come up into that skull of yours to try and READ, before you start making claims. Arma isn't a flight simulator, it was never designed to be, nor have Spartan and Saul ever claimed they would improve the flight physics. Everything is SCALED, to fit the measurements of the RV engine. Now, lets try this again shall we? Welcome to Arma. Arma is a game that aims to bring together an open world, military sandbox with the focus on combined arms. This implies that the game walks the line between simulation and videogame to accomodate players from diffrent disciplines to a certain degree. You don't have to be an expert at driving a tank, flying a helicpoter, piloting a plane or sailing a ship, because Arma allows for everyone to play every role. with a steep but short learning curve. Now if you want to fly planes. There are dozens of wonderfull flightsims out there like DCS, BMS, FSX etc, that will fullfill you're needs. However, if you're looking for a great time with friends, immersive missions on a combined arms scale, Arma will most likely please you. Now ofcourse I know I probably won't have to say this because obviously you know everything better but this is a W.I.P, WORK.IN.PROGRESS. So please be a little more considerate, or constructive.

    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

Can I ask. Are you just fiddeling around with Cryengine for fun, or are you modding in Crysis ore something? Because the upcoming Project Reality 2 is also using Cryengine SDK and I think it would be amazing to see some of you're work in that game. And I believe the people making it are actually looking for people who want to help them out.

    [WIP] USAF Air Asset MOD

Saw this video and was wondering if you had any plans of incorperating paradrops in your mod:

Peral made perfectly clear that this hasn't got to do anything wit DCS and that its an original addon, but people just don't read.
  13. You have to keep in mind though that a targeting pod isn't some magical camera which can zoom everywhere and see everything. A targeting pod also has its limits of how far it can move from side to side and up and down. That's why pilots have to maintain a wide loiter on high altitide when they do recon or do laser targeting. Because the higher you are, the less room to move the pod needs in order to cover a wide area.

Its good to hear you guys are pouring so much time and energy in this. I think I speak for myself and a lot of people that its really appreciated, and Arma just wouldn't be the same without you guys. Keep it up.

I know that :). But I'm the kind of guy that just makes posts like these. Perhaps a slight case of ocd or controlfreakism...

In my own humble opinion though Peral. I think you shouldn't spent to much time on making an Arma mod to work flawlessly with a certain Hotas joystick set up. Most of the people who will be using this mod will probably only have a mouse and keyboard, and if they have a joystick it will most likely not be the A-10 Thrustmaster. I myself am rocking the Saitek X-52 Pro, but I don't use it in Arma because Arma isn't a flightsim and I'm used to using a keyboard and mouse to fly in Arma. Like you said that joystick is really made for hardcore flightsims and is really expensive. It wouldn't do much good to spent time on configs and animations just for that particular joystick. I know I porably wouldn't have to tell you that but still. A joystick is really cool to have but in the end I think its most important to get it to work with a standard keyboard and mouse because that's what Arma does by default, and the way most people will be playing it.
  19. Here's the latest .rpt file I could find in my Arma appdata. Hope this helps! https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/49454270/arma3_2014-01-16_17-38-41.rpt
  20. No that's the thing, I only get these weird anomalies and errors with the F-18. I've tried it with all aircraft even another modded one, the F-35 port over from Arma 2. Could you maybe give some more info on this RPT file? I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, but I'd like to help. PM me if nessicary.

    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

Hey OS, I wanted to come back on my last comment about the Blastcore FX not working properly for the F-18 by Spartan and Saul. They replied that they have checked and that it most likely isn't on their side. They said they use the vanilla effects in Arma and have not tinkered with anything besides the sounds. I'm not trying to be picky but If you could, I'd really appreciate if you would look into it nevertheless. Its most likely a small fix if Spartan is right, which I think he is. Because its just some FX that don't work for the F-18. I provided him with the .rpt file he asked for. I'll give it to you to, just in case. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/49454270/arma3_2014-01-16_17-38-41.rpt

The buttons on the MFD should be mappable by default, I don't know wether they'll be able to display the MFD's themselves though.

    Armor Improvement System (AIS)

Well its really cool that someone has taken it upon themselves to actually give those little turrets on the tanks a function. I was just wondering, the T100 doesn't seem to have the APS system, is that still a WIP? Furthermore, I'm using blatscore and I the effects are a little lacking. Infact it seems I only get the explosion of the APS projectile but not actually the incoming projectile. Don't know if this is something you can fix. Lastly, perhaphs you've already seen it but this looks pretty interesting: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?171586-Real-Armor-Mod Could a little intergration/teamwork and modding crossover be an idea? Other than that this looks very promesing, keep it up! :D
