    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

Props for going there, I think a lot of other people would've quit by now, especially with all the drama and bullshit surrounding this project. But Sometimes you've gotta dig deep for the brightest diamonds. And I'm sure, once you release it, a lot of people will greatly appreciate your work and thoroughly enjoy the mod. Good luck!

    United States Air Force

Wouldn't it be possible to make feature where you cicle thrue a couple of drop programs with he cycle weapons key? I know Peral has a done that with the GAU-8 avenger on his A-10. You have the possibility to fire rounds slow, or rapid, which ofcouse also makes a diffrence in the total amount of rounds fired from the aircraft. With the B1 for instance you could cycle thrue 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 bombs etc. Press the fire buttom once, and those bombs would fall in a rapid succesion, as fast as you could make them drop with perfect timing by clicking the mouse, only without having to break your mouse :P

All I can say is great progess OS! :D
  4. Eurofigher is implementing it currently, and also some Sukhois I believe.
  5. Actually some modern fighter aircraft do have an auto eject system that monitors all the flight systems, instrumentation, hydrolics etc. But also aircraft airspeed, oreintation, altitude and stress on the airframe. This all to ensure that the pilot is ejected even when he can't react quick enough, or is blacked out or wounded.
  6. Be more specific, what weapons are you trying to use? Find out which key you use to lock on in the config menu.

    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

Well there should be another update sometime soon, so I guess ignore it for now.

Wait for OS to update the mod ;)

    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

I believe that's a Bohemia thing. Not sure if that is caused by the mod.

    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

I'm pretty sure that most addon makes because of this reason choose to use vanilla classnames, even if they're aircraft uses a misslebox or something like that. Either way, thanks for fixing it :)

    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

Yeah I've discussed this with OS quite a while back over PM. Its caused by conflicting classnames, which stops some munitions from fully loading the Blastcore effect. Try comparing a GBU dropped from the A-164 with one dropped from a Buzzard. You'll notice it won't give you an error message, and te explosion actually looks diffrent. I'm sure OS will fix it at some point.

    A-10C for Arma 3

Well, maybe you shouldn't play with version 1.00 then :)

    A-10C for Arma 3

The interaction key isn't custom key 20, its "Seagull fast forward" (all the way at the bottom of the development tab in the controls menu). The service menu isn't complete yet. Please read the included documents in the future.
  14. Hey, TIE fighters fly thrue atmosphere aswell :p.
  15. Its most likely a TIE fighter... yeah its probably a TIE fighter.
  16. Looking forward to your entry! You already have my vote ;)

    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

Yes its very common actually, did you drop the bomb from a modded aircraft or any aircraft added to the game after the initial release? Like the A-164?

I don't know wether to laugh at your response, or to feel sad about this whole situation. Eversince DayZ came out, it seems the entire community has gone to shit. Nobody has any respect for one another anymore. I just hope that time will eventually filter out all the post 2012 members, by which I mostly mean the type of people that think that plagiarizing someones work is will lead to excellence.

    BIS' New Game Launcher

I was wondering what the community, and especially the modders thinkg of the new A3 launcher and the steam workshop integration. Personally, I'm not convinced about the whole addons on steam workshop thing. The new launcher looks pretty nice though. Nice interface, and pretty much all the features you could desire of a launcher. I've been looking for, what for me would be the perfect Arma 3 launcher/mod updater. I've used several in the past but little have fulfilled all my needs. PlayWithSIX is nice, it used to have a really cluttered and confusing interface, and altough I personally think its still far from perfect, atleast now its usable. But not nearly all mods available for Arma 3, are connected to the PlayWithSIX network, forcing me to still update a whole bunch of them manually. Arma 3 Sync is really nice, really simple and if you play with a clan who has a repository, will even update your mods automatically. But it doesn't have an interconnected network of content creators like PlayWithSIX, so it to still requirese manual updating to a large extend. Now ofcourse a lot of this could be solved. if everyone decided to start using the new launcher and steam workshop. But from what I hear a lot of the content creators and especially those who have been around for a while are pretty opposed towards the steam workshop. I'm not a modder myself so I don't really know what the problem is. But from what I've heard most people don't like the fact that Valve owns all content posted on the steam workshop, although I cannot confirm wether that is actually true, and if so to which extend. But there is new content released on the steam workshop daily for thousands of games, so I can't imagine it being that bad. Really, what is the problem with steam workshop? And I'm not saying I'm a big fan, I'm just curious if it would be possible to find some common ground. Call me lazy but I'd love to just be able to update, activate, deactivate my own mods, mods I need enabled for a certain server, mods dedicated to clans and groups, with the click of a button. No fiddeling around with seperate server browsers, no editing of parameters or command lines. I want all my .pbo's, my keys and my userconfigs to be placed in the correct folders, and I want the out of there as soon as I choose to remove a mod. I want all that stuff to be done for me because I'm no compitent enough to do it all by myself without screwing something up.

The problem is, like so many people fail to see, is that he didn't ask. You say the modding community is toxic, that just means that you never spend enough time on something to feel what it feels like when someone runs away with your work even if you're in the credits. Credits don't mean shit if you steal something, that's like a burglar robbing you're entire place but not being judged guilty in court because he says he's really enjoying your new TV, you're computer and you're car. This guy knew who OS is, he knew he was the original author of blastcore, but he didn't have the common courtesy to post a little message on the forums or send him a pm. Everyone seems to act like the modders are somekind of kings who want to rule and own everyting, but that's not true. All you need to do is simply ASK, that's all. That's the great thing about modding is sharing n creations, but it has to be regulated in some way, even if it can't be done legally, it has to be regulated. Besides, the best creations come from collaboration. If this guy had asked OS, and substantiated to him what he wanted to do with the mod, he would've been able to collaborate, take some of the work from OS's back, which would've benefitted all, and make an ever better mod. ---------- Post added at 08:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:04 AM ---------- Well like you said, that doesn't justify stealing someone's work and not asking (if he didn't). But I guess that if someone is to lazy to ask an author if he can work on his stuff, than he's also to lazy to thumb thrue this thread a bit and find that OS has actually stated multiple times that he's still working on the mod. I don't understand why some people think a modder is somekind of machine that you can just tell what to do and when to do it. Opticalsnare is a person, and I know it might be hard to believe but he probably has other things going on in his life besides making mods.

This honestly makes me sick to my stomach. If someone has the skills to replace the smoke effects, remove the sparks and alter the explosions, then the have the skills to make a mod of their own, why steal someone's stuff? I simply can't understand, what a lazy degenerate piece of shit must you be to do such a thing.

Oh come on now people, we can't blame BI for updating their game. You can't expect them to keep in mind all the mods and content that is released for their game. I have faith in you Fuller ;)

Next update to break ALL sound mods?

Unless you have viable souce I wouldn't worry.
  25. I thought that was impossible because the max size for a single model in Arma is like 50 x 50 x 50 meters.
