Well, as far as my convoy research has gone here's the results:

The more cars you use the slower you must force them to go (unit forcespeed 10).

3 cars = forcespeed 8. (this for some reason equals 30-35/kph ingame)

4 cars = forcespeed 6.

Of course you can make them go faster, but the faster they go the more unreliably they drive. It seems that the car behind the leader speeds up when he's falling behind, and when he gets too close he turns to avoid collision. This repeats through the convoy. (speed up --> avoid collision with the car in front --> repeat).

Anywho, thats my research on the subject, pretty sure someone other has some more insight into it:p
