I thought that progress of isla Duala has come to its end long time ago. Glad to see I was wrong. Still Duala is one and only mission on my server since of beginning. Hoping only that you dont make too much change to a terrain, because it might ruin my Duala Conflict mission (project of 2-3 years now). Anyway, what ever you got for us, cant wait to see it out.. maybe those afrenian voices and so ? :)

After a year (long story) I finally got to play on Duala using Warfare BE, and it has certainly been worth the wait. I'm seeing a high quality of level design right up there with Forgotten Hope and other mods. There's a sort of Far Cry 2 feel the savannah parts of the island as well as some serious atmosphere developing in some battles due to the layout. I set the time to 05.00 and watched as the sun came up, colours changing, mist in valleys. I could go on.Now. Those damn mosquitoes :681:
And if you want to experience most detailed MP event in Duala I suggest you try Duala Conflict mission found on public servers.

Can´t agree that with you because that awesome island you made. After 2 years Duala is still only island where I spent my time with my friends. (still would be amazing if you could add those african voices to units on next update).

I´ve been keeping my server doors open now few weeks already. I think my Duala Conflict mission is going to be soon as RC state. Not bad after few years of hard work :) Still many people trying to connect but failed maybe because not having Duala, or latest version.

Well, I changed my raid-0 SSD system from sata2 to sata3 Kingston HyperX SSD (read 555mb/s-write 510mb/s) raid-0 yesterday and I couldnt see big difference compared to old SSD. How ever the difference was huge after going from normal HDD system for SSD raid-0. Definately recommend system for all. Everything loads up just in secods.

Hi guys, im making a mission for multiplayer and i need some help. Here is the basic outline of the mission: Two teams, BLUFOR and OPFOR. Blufor must go in and rescue a hostage being held by the opfor.The hostage is an AI civillian, and i am using an addaction to make the civ join your group and follow.
The problem i am having is that i want (when the OPFOR or BLUFOR leader dies) the civ to leave the group and become a civ again. When i tried this, the civ instead takes control of the group and the other team is unable to make the civ join and follow them.
Can anyone help me?

But I haven´t found a single clear and simple solution for fixing that problem. Server is behind a firewall and I´ve tried already opening default ports etc and no luck so far.
Maybe BIS could help with this one on one clear solution ?

Yes, I know this is a very small issue but lacking of realism too. Can`t believe that nobody havent noticed this so far (a assume). Anyway, when for example humvee flies (after hilltop, rock, what ever) and big fat foot is on the gas pedal, engine should get very high rpm´s but instead it sounds that engine rpm´s is going down.
Maybe fix in next patch ?

Isla Duala 1.96 (Full & Lite) is being prepared:- small bugfixes
- squirrel and viggen units are now under correct standard Air vehicle class
- AS350 squirrel (unarmed version) doesn't have a graphics glitch anymore
etc.

I didn't add a module for their voices yet, as I don't want it to interfere with DSAI by Wolfrug and Sickboy. Sickboy & Wolfrug: can u help me add both of the factions to your mod? I have voices recorded for Molatians (french) and Afrenians & Civil population (Afrikaan). -

v1.93 is slowly coming to release phase. I hope I didn't break too many missions, I've noticed that boats were rarely used, so I've added in additional crossings and connect NW island and SW to the continent. Afrenian and Molatian construction companies were hard at work to improve the road infrastructure ;)Well, I´m just hoping that you wouldnt have done that. Too much changes on the island can break some missions. I have very populated sea on Duala and that definately will cause somekind of problems to my product. Instead what I really would like to see is somekind small airfield on the NW island which could help moving troops and vehicles from other areas.
But, I´m just one man ...

One thing I like to ask from Icebreakr.. Because you´ve been saying that Duala is kind of tribute to a old Tonal addon back in OFP times. I remember when I played Tonal, it had also an african "speech" with a locals. If I remember right, the sounds/speaks was ripped from some Delta Force game. Anyway the atmosphere was very cool when those African forces actually shout and talk some african language.Could that kind of "language pack" be possible to have in Duala, ever ?

Me and my buddy started get these kind of errors after patching to 1.59 (done like 7 times in 12h). Ded. server working no problem so far, but we as clients are having these kind of problems. Only addon we are using is Isla Duala 1.91. Arma 1.57 never crashed.

Excellent work Icebreakr, as always. Have to say I laughed my ass off when I was battling against group of Trashtalkers ;) Even I didn't quite get that french talking. :confused: In future releases, I´m hoping to see more "trashtalker" units in rebels side as well.
