    ARMA 2:OA beta patch 75666

    I can also confirm the object popping is still happening. during start of game it's ok, but after ca. 10-15mins it starts popping..i can do flush command, then its ok for a bit, but i comes back..
  2. i played domination on takistan some minutes ago. the popping of objects only happens, when my screen gets black for less then a second(death, switching to map) , when i do flush command ingame, it seems to be fixed..can anybody confirm that? maybe its just happening accidently..

  4. i got the same prob with the objects, for example hangar on airfield completely disappears when i turn around fast and look back to its position, the whole airfield pops back up..i try to capture it and upload video..

I experienced another issue, i used addons on that server, but normally they have no influence on that..just look at the clouds, i can't embed for some reason, so here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjdRNiPZSqc I haven't had that before. My buddy was standing next to me in that mission, he experienced the same, also having some addons enabled. But as i said above, i haven't had that before, even using these addons..

    Network ports?

    Hey ! Thx for the answer. I tried disabling the firewall in windows. I don'T think that's the prob, i think it is more the god damn new router i got from vodafone. I still don't know if i have to put it in the special applications table with trigger port and co. , or in the port mapping table, with my ip ,lan port and public port, or in both. This trigger port feature is new, as i said in my first post, so it only opens the port, when i'm using it with my pc, so the trigger activates it.should prevent the port from being open all the time.it works one sided, because i can see the server of my buddy, but i cannot join.so i don't know if the trigger should be either 2302 or 2303. on my old router it was so easy, and now this so called "high end" hardware screws my mind and stops me from playing the campaign in coop. I really don't know how to go ahead, because i understand the portforwarding, but the router interface and these trigger are so strange

    Network ports?

    On the Arma-FAQ page it says you only need 2302 and 2303 UDP for Arma2. I opened them and forwarded them. But i have to use NAT, otherwise my internet isn't working anymore.So is 2302-2305 TCP also needed, not only udp? With my old router , these settings were not necessary, and i have no clue about this port forwarding stuff.. I have two options in my router: Port Mapping, where i can set my PC Ip, Lan port and public port, and Special applications, there is "Trigger port" and "public port" ..i figured out that the trigger is a new variant of forwarding and it only opens the port, when its being used..but i can't get it working..i also got vdsl not adsl ..would be nice if somebody, who is familiar with networks, could help me out..thx

    You should know that turning off all the ai increased the performance so much.If you need guys for playing warfare,just come into Ventrilo or our teamspeak and join us. We are playing every evening.And don't worry about the ping, mine is around 130-140 and its absolutely ok.Most important thing is that admins are around most of the time, for restarts, kicking and keeping everything fair. I'd like to see you guys in there
  9. Hello! I don't visit the forum frequently atm, so i'm sorry if i'm double posting. My question: Is there any specific opportunity to make my ai drive only on roads? It is very annoying when there's a long, 1-2km road with "light" curves and my ai is driving only through the mountains, bounces off a rock and dies. If anybody knows a solution, plz let me know!! Thx for the help Edit: 5 Vodniks from Chak Chak to Sakhe, 3 commited suicide in the mountains, why are there roads?! I'm confused....

    AI Pathfinding in Vehicles on Takistan

    You're absolutely right. The ai is the thing, that makes this game so interesting and special. Of course it is the hardest part to program and dev. and of course my post shouldn't be an insult on the dev's , no way.But its so..damn..You know i'm sitting at the frontline in my mission, i need backup, but my drunken AI-drivers are somewhere in the mountains. :rolleyes: Sure, i am patient, i am since i got arma2 last year. And i always see improvements from bis and i know that bis is one of the smaller dev-studios,but thats exactly why i love them and their product. It's just a hint for the next improvement..

My aim is , having a group with guys who also like Coops, so we can chat, get some ppl on the server and play a Mission. There are so many good Coops out there and they HAVE to be played. And i think, many of you guys would like to play 'em with guys who aren't doing "Me-is-Rambo-i-rush-em-all-alone" Stuff Teamspeak or Ventrilo is required for better communication and i think everybody is familiar with speaking English. First of all i wanna say thanks to some people: -Bohemia for dev'ing this game, now i play 20 hours and only sleep 4 hours a day!! - Benny from Hotshots for his awesome work on his BE-Lite-Warfare !! -Mandoble for his Mando-Missile Script -Protegimus for his wonderful Zeus AI Combat Skills & AI Spotting modular As said above this Warfare is based on Benny's version, so now a short introduction of it : Basically its the same, capture towns, get money and supplies, defeat the enemy team by townwin or base destruction.. Buildings: Barracks, light factory, heavy factory, airfac( you need 8 towns to build it, so no rushing for bases) Upgrades: -3 stages for all factories, where you can build units, upgrades only need supplies and no money -no fast travel but camp Insertion=you can respawn on a camp of a town that your team has captured, 3 stages for radius (lvl 0 = 500m , lvl1=1750m , lvl2= 4000m , lvl3 = whole map ) -paradrop vehicles = plane is dropping ambulance or tank for cash, 2 lvl -off map artillery = you can order an artillery strike for money (white phosphor vs. infantry, High Explosive vs. inf and vehicles, Suppression arty is one minute with 100 arty rounds, and lgb-bomb ) -unit cam , so u can see through your uav and spot stuff -squad size, you have to upgrade to lvl3 , then you can buy 16 units Gameplay: - the supply-value (SV) of towns is for example in stary sobor on 120/120 when you enter the town, so you have to pull it down completely, when you captured it, it is immediately on 120 for your team , so 120 dollar/minute and also 120 supplies/minute..that means you can upgrade your own army very quick "IF" you do teamwork, so you can have tank battles and pvp action early.. -Only human players can use slots, no ai in here..so if 2 people are on the server, then its only 2 people, no ai squads running around and capping towns -gear is fully available from the start of the round, on barracks or in camps around town -you can respawn on ambulance in range of 500m all the time -MANDO MISSILE rocket system with new locking and firing system and countermeasures on air-stuff (thx mandoble for that awesome stuff, and thx dwarden for telling my server admin to put it in :) ) -you can rearm and repair your vehicle on every main depot of town, that your team already captured -on these main depots you can buy unmanned civilian vehicles and a tractor, which is nice for attaching broken tanks on it, so you can get them to the depot and repair them -ZEUS-AI script on the server and also signed key for client side, so ai is smarter, but they are not sniping with ak and act a lot better -Auto-kick for people who do teamswap, so they can rejoin and pick their team again if they accidently misclicked, and ppl start complaining because they think they are a spy :) Maybe i forgot some things,so i think you should try out by yourself.. : Gossamer's Warfare I'm from Europe and i only play on an american server for me ping around 115 but thats no problem.Runs smooth, no lags, gets restarted every day..just put TGW in server filter. Its The Game Wardens, the dev's server...     Hiho guys ! i got a problem i haven't found a thread for it , and wasn't able to figure out by myself ! for example : - I'm in a tank, i see enemy units next to a house, i select my ai gunner , i press left ALT and under supress there is like "watch..." so i can make him focus the building ! but how can i make him get out of that situation, so that he is normal? is it only working with "scan horizon" ? it works but its annoying, because he is turning the turret then and he hits every obstacle with the turret. If anybody could help me, would be really nice because i use that very often in warfare to let em focus on camps, when enemy player is respawning there... Thx a lot M.O.R

    Customized Warfare, take a look

    the airvehicles are customized in a special script for warfare, and you also have to customize the huds in the mando missile folder..the kamov has for example the hud from the su34, so you can modify the weapon loadouts.. when you wanna customize for a single heli, like in a coop mission, you have to remove the stock launchers from heli, and give em new ones ... for example for a hind_V multipurpose, which i changed to anti armor with ch29 : _vehicle removeWeapon "YakB"; _vehicle removeWeapon "AT6Launcher"; _vehicle addMagazine "2Rnd_R73"; _vehicle addMagazine "250Rnd_30mmAP_2A42"; _vehicle addMagazine "250Rnd_30mmAP_2A42"; _vehicle addMagazine "250Rnd_30mmAP_2A42"; _vehicle addMagazine "4Rnd_Ch29"; _vehicle addMagazine "4Rnd_Ch29"; _vehicle addWeapon "2A42"; _vehicle addWeapon "R73Launcher_2"; _vehicle addWeapon "Ch29Launcher"}; so i removed YakB , the AT6Launcher, added R73Launcher_2 with matching magazines, also for Ch29Launcher, BUT Ch29Launcher can only handle 4Rnd Magazine..su_ch29 launcher can handle 4 and 6 round, but if you want it in heli, you have to put the hud from jet into heli in the mando folders, and make it fit the stock hud of chopper,,goss did that..but its possible and works fine..but as listed above, thats how you change the custom loadout

    Revive Script

    yo guys..i have 2 questions : 1. - i had an ace mission, i put the revive script into the mission..only thing i edited yet was the player names in revive_init (s1...s10) because its c010..reviving works now..i put markers in the editor (marker="west_respawn" the logic=server boot..center..all the stuff named like that in readme pdf) far away from the squad with playable units,because i've read in here, that it has to be away like 200m.i had that black screen when i came in,like another guy posted here, saying my player is not able to be revived,so it was too close to units i guess...description and stuff is in my mission folder...when ai dies now, they spawn at "west respawn" marker, i put on the map in editor.. -is it possible to make em respawn at the insertion where mission started and not on that "west respawn"? so when revive time is up? and also for players, so humans can respawn there, how do i add another spawnpoint? i tried to put the mobile respawn on the field via action menu and died, i was able to respawn there,so that works.. 2. after putting revive in, i cannot shoulder my m16acog and take a 2. one like m4 or sth. , it is not possible anymore..do i have to add some kind of code-line into the init files, to be able to put gun on my shoulder again? EDIT: ok only the marker story..i found the problem for question 2. , i put the ace-no-stamina module in the editor, for some reason, after that i can't put the gun on the shoulder.so that was the prob.. but still help for the markers needed :) sry for these noob questions, but i wanna learn its awesome..thx for that script norrin..

    damn , dear devs, plz do a beta patch..i get confused, i can't play coop's anymore..when i read in the description "all playable slots (if not human player=ai) have to reach extraction zone" i don't start the mission..because "go i cover"...this game is so god damn awesome, why don't you simply make it playable with ai again ? is it really that hard? i know many guys complained, me also..you did good work and i hope you also do good work on oa, but it's still a while 'till oa, so plz plz plz, re-do that auto-combat mode..i clean up your kitchen or your office or whatever, but plz do that..it pisses me off all the time, and i don't wanna play other bunny-hop-spraying-hihixD-kiddie-shooters without any sense then spraying around with overpowered guns (bfbc2 lol) ...c'mon mes amis... P.S. : Do it tomorrow cheers

    Yo dude are you kidding? I play this game, because it's not like a stock ego-shooter, i can devide my team into red and blue, and attack towns from 2 different sides..thats why i play this game (started in june2009)..when i remember right, in one of the last betas of .04 ai was doing good, until somebody had the idea to make your ai go automatically into combat mode.well the idea is very good but it's not working, even today it is not working with full patch 05..so easy thing: -remove the command line which makes them auto-act,so the code which was added by the dev to make em act by themselves, so they follow our orders again... release beta patch..problem solved.. So you really wanna tell me, me and the rest of the "complaining-bunch" should stop crying because they are busy with OA? Are you serious? The AI is the MAIN part in this game, and it is senseless for me to use em(i only play warfare).. So you wanna tell me, you go the car-dealer, and buy a car for the full new list price, it has 5 gears, only the first 2 gears are working and you're satisfied? Well you need to see a doctor my friend P.S. no insult buddy.. P.S. i simply can't understand why it's so hard to remove the command for the auto-ai-into-combat...the dev should know which thing he added to make them auto, so remove it,,and we stop complaining and you can work only for OA P.S: Reason for my ultra-high anger-level is i suggested my buddy to buy arma2 because its the best game ever, he calls me and asks if i'm insane, because he bought a game, where he can't use AI...
  24. so now, with patch 1.05, is there a way to enable xfire ingame chat? os=w7 64bit, or is it still messed up because arma2 is so "special" ?! i don't need broadcast, i don' need screenshots,only chat, because i don't wanna alt+tab all the time when somebody's messaging me..really annoying,,not so annyoing like the "not-working-ai-in-a-military-sim-game-i-got-u-covered-i-got-u-covered-move-i-go-you-covered-which-makes-playing-with-inf-impossible-so-it'S=normal ego shooter", but annoying...
