  1. I'm getting tired of the lack of this feature. Is there any workaround or mod out there which makes the suppress command actually work?
  2. Yea i'm not sure how realistic it is to place a sniper on the hilltop overlooking the airfield. Definitely catches one off guard but these kind of things break the immersion for me. Hopes this serves as constructive criticism for the next installment.
  3. I find it really enhances the feature. Gives a nice situational awareness. Can this be moved to suggestions?

    Supress command doesn't work?

Are they planning on fixing this? It's pretty ridiculous not to have it working. I can recall many times I've had to resort to trial and error quicksave/load to get past encounters because of the lack of it. It's desperately needed in CQB especially.
  5. I didn't like this so much. It was all fine until I approached the airfield from the SW then I started sniping cardboard targets. Then I had to sweep thru the entire airfield for enemies just standin there doing nothing in hopes of completing the objective. Felt like I was playing delta force there for a minute. I haven't played past that part cos I still can't get the objective to complete.
  6. So can you post your missions guys?
  7. Hi there, I'm wondering where you guys get ideas to play around in the editor? Do you just jump straight in and start improvising? I'm asking because I've seen people mention they rarely play outside the editor, but I when I'm in there I can't come up with anything interesting. The gameworld is so big, and so many options, I can't come up with anything concrete. What are some basic types of missions and scenarios to get me started? Do you guys copy ideas from other games or real life battles etc? What are some tips for putting together something quick and hi quality and start enjoying it right away? Peace
  8. froggyluv all mission work is appreciated. Keep them coming please! Personally I didn't enjoy this as much as others because the setting doesnt suit my taste so much. Overall it was still quite nice.
  9. I meant just the opposite. Read the title. Zoom OUT+Free look = wider field of view
  10. From pcgameshardware: " But even more important is the low performance: Even on overclcoked highest-end hardware (Core i7; 12 GiByte RAM and a GTX 285 with 2 GiByte VRAM) ArmA 2 becomes a slide show (less than 15 fps) running at 1,280 x 1,024 pixels with very high details." If this is true the optimization is SHIT.
  11. I wanna run this game maxed out at 1680x1050 and I also want to turn up the view distance all the way or as much as possible. What card out there can do this? I have an 8800 ultra and it's not cutting it.
  12. I found this one not so entertaining for some reason
  13. I don't quite get this feature. When I use the marksman rifle and pull up the crosshairs and hold breath, the view zooms in as if I were using some kind of scope zoom. I do believe this feature is not supposed to emulate any kind of scope zoom but rather the focusing effect of holding the breath. Isn't this highly unrealistic, since it essentially is changing the augmentation power of the scope? If it's emulating a human focus on the center of the picture shouldnt the crosshair shape change with it (notches spreading outward as the view zooms)? I'm not sure if it does it for all marksman or sniper rifles. I don't get this effect when using M16+ACOG for example.

    (SP) Gryphon Squad day 02

Flouncy I have but it's not showing, thats the problem. Can anyone address this?
  15. So this zoom is actual scope zoom? Or is this still an unrealistic game effect? And how easily can the scope be zoomed in and out IRL?

I can't see the mission in the game. I've placed in my missions folder but it's not appearing. Whats up with this?

    SP Mission: Operation Starvation

This needs brushing up. I coudln't even grab the documents off the desk at the start. Squad members get stuck coming out of the camp. The briefing isn't even clear. Etc, etc

    Operation Fist (SP)

Yep just tried this really enjoyed it. Loved the choice of M16A2's for that oldschool feel.
  23. One thing that doesn't seem so appealing to me about making my own missions is knowing where every unit is gonna be placed at, where the encounters take place etc. It's better to remain uncertain sometimes about these things for the sake of immersion. [/color] Those sound awesome could u upload these by any chance? Wanna check them out in the editor. Also anyone else posting in here if u have SP missions to share I'd love to check them out.
