  1. If you configure the numbers in the arma2.cfg you can make the current helo and plane analogue joystick rage quite bearable with a good behavior that leaves nothing to desire.

Maybe You could post Your config

Dont forget that the negative values of the throttle is your brake in airplanes and let you pop down faster in helos as soon as this Tunguska starts to shoot at you hovering over that ridge.

    go and experiment.

No, as it is 1-49% throttle does nothing in a chopper

  2. The throttle controls on the choppers are terrible and start at 50%, giving only half the use of the throttle, now before You all jump down my neck, I understand why it does this, I just find it annoying that its not been addressed. I've an x-52, like lots of others on here and there have been several x-52 threads asking for this but I've never found a proper fix. I would like for anyone with any ideas to share them here so we can fix it or mod in some way.

There are probably several ways this could be done, with seperately mapped profiles on other software for heli's and planes and use a toggle, or maybe there's some way to actually mod or script it into the game to fix it.

Anyone any ideas? Anyone have any success?

    Pog

  3. Hi,

i'm Tom, the project leader from Community Gameserver Loader -CGL-.

CGL is an free Webinterface to install Maps, Mods Configs via mouseclic to any Gameserver. It supports various gameserver, Arma 2 too (in beta).

Here an vid that shows how cgl done the job (german language):

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frrPXRM3 ... re=related

Here the project website (english/german): http://cgl.clanmeets.de

    The idea i have:

Implement the same functions as Yoma Add on sync but for Gameserver Admins.

As gameserver admin you select in cgl some missions from mission pool. The missions are flagged what mods they use. cgl transport via mouseclick the missions and the required mods to Arma2 Server and restarts the server with this mods, all automatic.

The idea is, cgl use repository server for modsync like yoma. Pulls the z7 file and get the mod changes, so Arma2 cgl Mod base is always up to date. For this, interested people needed.

Are anybody interested in such a support service ?

    Greets Tom

As a server admin I already use Yoma, does all I need. I don't honestly see the need for this.

  4. I've a 4Gb ramdisk in which I've got @Isla Duala, @Pantera and the @Ramdisk folder with these .pbo's (in pic), they from Quertz list Alex72 was talking about, tested as being the most used .pbo's.

Further to a ramdisk, I've also created a 10GB partion for all my addons on another drive (I've got the advantage of 5 hd's in this pc as I use it as my media server). I've called it addons and I just put all the mods and addons in this partion seperately and make a symbolic link to each individual @folder in the Arma 2 game folder. This way they work as normal and don't make my game folder bulky, my game folder stays vanilla size. The Yoma updates as normal as it sees the symbolic links as folders and I launch them with the launcher same as I always did.

  5. Setting the Parameters in the lobby for viewdistance and and grass don't work. I joined the server and set min vd to 2500 and grass to on but I got no grass and viewdistance was at 1500, same for another who joined. Turning off Base Sabotage base didn't work either, we still got constant attacks.
