  1. That's a achievement of the year with all these bugs in mission. :D

Where did you go and what did you do after the meeting with russians and Lopotevs speznaz buddies ?

I read in some other thread that you could attack the Chedaki base in Msta and after destroying the base the mission would end, but i don't think BIS meaned to play it like that. I mean how do you find out that the base is in Msta in the first place.

    Hehehe

Well I gave Lopotov to the russian general Shagarov. Then we were ambushed by Karelin and his speznatz. Karelin was working on his own and was not part of any russian plan as it seems since two russian soldiers were killed in attack.

After that I went to capature the base at Msta. The mission then ended yes. Anyway there were only 3 strongpoint left. Well to be honest you just have to clear strongpoint after strongpoint to find it but the base is always in Msta.

An advice to everyone who haven't came so far yet. Buy a pilot at HQ, kill him and took his night vision goggles. I capatured like 4 strongpoints in a complete darkness including Lopotov. ;)

  2. Well I have a better system than the one that is recommended by the producers and I still have a huge fps problem in a city fights.

I have ArmA installed on a different HD than OS and I was wondering if that could be the problem?

Ok I might have fixed the problem.

I forgot to mention that I was getting a "no entry arma2.cfg.3d_ performance" error message everytime I lunched the ArmA2.exe.

I opened the "C:\Users\<Name>\Documents\ArmA 2\arma2.cfg" file and there was a "3D_Performance=100000;" line missing (anyway I got this from my brothers comp so I am not sure what does it mean yet).

I get a little more fps in the cities now. :)

I also decreased the "sceneComplexity" in the <profile>.cfg which is located in the same directory.

The difference is huge. Before that I was getting around 17 fps now I am getting around 35 in the city.

  3. Well there are several issues I have.

First, what exactly does the Video Memory option do? I know what it means but I would like to know if there is a smoother perforamnce (not the graphic quality but the fps rate) when you have it on low or on high? (I got 1GB so I should use default but I am interested in fps perforamce)

Then I have this problem. When I drive into the city (or some place with high amount of detials) I get a fps drop and then if I press esc I get the fogged screen (not black screen which happens quite often and takes 3 secs) with "Recieving..." This normally takes forever and evetually crashes the game. It doesn't happen very often but when it does it's annoying. Anyone else experienced this?

The game was crashing a lot when I was trying to save but I fixed that by lowering the graphics.

Anytime I crash I loose the skies. That can be fixed by changing video memory from high to normal and back to high but it's still annoying.

Can anyone please give some comments on this?
