    BAF bug report

    My findings: 1. Too many "grenade throwing" shouts when AI throw nades. Kinda messy 2. Apache WAH missing firing sound when launching missiles from external view.

  8. I think mainly people are complaining by comparing the paid DLC and free give-away such as UKF mods or the upcoming PR mod which provide contents such as challenger 2 and etc etc.... Since this community is so use to getting free high quality no doubt materials from mod-ders, everyone naturally expect to get a lot a lot more from paid materials, while not considering the time and resources needed to produce such contents. As many comparisons has been made by other forum-ers, free contents normally wants to encompass everything, that takes ages normally to come out and it's solely based on one's free time, will to do so and interest to support it afterward while paid content with a specific objective in mind, is professionally crafted and is released on a timely manner, plus not forgetting the support of those contents after release. So having that objective and timeline, naturally the scope of the DLC will be reduced to meet the release time and ensuring the quality of the content is met. Unless everyone is willing to wait for another 1 or 2 years for BAF I know I won't want to wait. Having said so, having the BAF DLC a few months after OA release with all new models, map and features which only cost USD 9 plus aren't it good enough? What do you expect? another 12 mission campaign with 12 new standalone missions with all vehicles and features from Brit armed forces plus new voice-over plus new features plus new maps plus new box set plus new wallpapers plus new logo.... did I mentioned plus new models ? My 2 cents.
  9. The talk bout free and paid DLC, didn't BIS just given the arty and engineer feature as free update for those that didn't purchase BAF? Don't forget content can come in the form of features and not only new models and maps.

    No mod added... this is pure vanilla only... AI has been significantly improved since 1.54 which I noticed includes, throwing grenades, faster danger response time better suppression and cover to cover movement and pathfinding Pure gold I would say...

    Dwarden, possible to tone down the "throwing grenade" shouts? Seems to get multiple shouts when an AI is throwing grenade... kinda messy.

    Can you play as Takiban in SP mode? I tried it in MP as takiban and loving it (IED).
  15. Since I am not in the military, anyone can share what is the difference between the Apache and Chinook in US Army and the one in BAF other than insignia? I mean in game terms not real life...

    Anyway we can ask the AI to adjust firing range? short to long range. And where do you find IEDs? I can't seems to locate it in editor.... Having 1 heck of a nice time with the new arty syst and smart AI. And hooray to the mortar stryker being operational now!

    Patch 1.54 Securom conflict

    I do have a reason why I wanted to play without disc... the disc has scratches when I got them... hence I do not want to further damage the disc. So I always plays beta and hopefully the official patch will remove securom soon.
  21. Yes love the freedom of choice on missions, great usage of the conversation system.... Really great and hope to see more of this coming our way. Edit: Maybe next time we can choose to resolve missions diplomatically or by force via the conversation system.... hehehe sounded like a RPG games now

    ArmA2:Oa Patch 1.54 released!

    I am not sure whether this is implemented in this patch version or was earlier made, but seems wonderful that now AI drivers will make way for the vehicle behind to overtake it by moving sideway. Great to see nice touches on AI path finding. Just like to mentioned it here despite all the negative reports.

    Agreed... so let see... we have the Russians, and the Middle Eastern... should we have the North Korean as Opfor and South Korean as Blufor next? would be great. And for once, maybe make a campaign from the Opfor point of view...
