  1. If I may ask a question, I escorted Lagusha to LZ Jersey to be picked up by Lt. Marny's men but they still haven't shown up. I killed the attacking Chedaki but something very strange happened, during the firefight a Russian helicopter crashed destroying two enemy vehicles and I also found an empty camp 50m from the crash site. How long should it take for the CDF to pick up Lagusha?

    The Russian helicoptor that crashed was the CDF that was suppost to pick her up. You will have to revert to a previous save point.

  2. Hoping someone can help me. I have done every objective accept for finding the last peice of evidence. I searched the body on the game keeper and got a new objective to search a safe house. When I arrived there some guys had already been killed. I searched their bodys but found no evidence. Also tried searching the house but no option comes up to search it. Any suggestions? Hoping I dont have to do all of the misson again. Its taken me so long to get to this point.

  3. I was able to change any other option in BIOS and even save it after that, but when I'm trying to disable Hyper Treading, then it's just looping endlessly.

    I took all the other stuff out of the case and disassembled all the not needed wires. Still no luck.

    Maybe I should try 4-pin motherboard connector instead of 8-pin. I even tried with one memory module, but it still kept looping. Might it be the fault of dual-bios? Or even wrong memory timing.

    Im pretty sure its just a bios issue. There are three versions listed here - http://www.gigabyte.com.au/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=3103 . When you turn on your computer the post screen will say what bios verison you have. So you will either have FA or FB. FD4 is a beta bios so you wont have that one.

  4. I too get random crashes with arma2. Some happen after a coupple of minutes and some after an hour. I dont think ive played a session with this game without a crash since I bought it, although they seem less frequent than the earlier patches and drivers. I only use the -nosplash command with the game. Is there any essential commands I should be using? Also I have a stock config file -

    language="English";

    adapter=-1;

    3D_Performance=93750;

    Resolution_Bpp=32;

    Resolution_W=1600;

    Resolution_H=1200;

    refresh=60;

    Render_W=1600;

    Render_H=1200;

    FSAA=1;

    postFX=0;

    HDRPrecision=8;

    lastDeviceId="";

    localVRAM=2012727296;

    nonlocalVRAM=2012727296;

    winX=0;

    winY=0;

    winW=1916;

    winH=1170;

    winDefW=1920;

    winDefH=1200;

    Edit: Also my gpu temps never get over 70 degrees according to evga precision.

  5. this needs another bump. ive tried deleting my saved games, started the campaign over several times. still crashes on the first autosave attempt in the razor two mission.

    i uninstalled and reinstalled arma2, patched to 1.03, and it still crashes on the first autosave attempt in the razor two mission. I am starting to get very frustrated.

    There's no fix dude. I have the same problem as do countless others. No point stressing yourself over it. It's up to Bohemia to fix it now.

  7. Oh I see you installed windows 7, was that a fresh install? Other thing I did or didn't do on purpose when I installed win 7 was not to install the ASUS mobo drivers, I just let Win 7 do its own thing. One thing I wont be doing in future is buying ASUS mobo's just based on my experiences.

    I to installed Windows 7 RC the other day and got worse performance. A lot of stuttering and audio problems and the "cannot commit" error when saving games every time. I think luck has a lot with getting this game to run smoothly. Its up to Bohemia to sort it out from here on.

    And I to will never by an Asus board again. Had so many problems with my Rampage II and Striker extreme before hand. Went EVGA this time round and not one issue.

  8. vista is probably the culprit. A lot of people have said moving to Win7 has greatly increased performance. I suggest you get a copy since it's free (for now) and works just as good (if not better) then Vista IMO

    I have recently installed Windows 7 and found that game play is worse for me. The game stutters a lot more and there are audio issues. So the experience may vary coronel putas.

  9. Ok, thought super clocked meant I did it myself very custom-custom.

    Do this test. Download Evga Precision, to monitor gpu temps and fps, if you not already done that. Then start arma with -world=empty and monitor the temps and fps just standing in the Arma meny.

    I get ~240FPS and my temps start to rice fast. Check how far you get until you BSOD . My limit is ~78C, on both cards, then i get lockups/CTD's. BSOD usually is hardware failure, haven't had those yet. If you dont BSOD in the menu, try set stock memory speed and retry you BSOD scenario.

    BIS should really enforce a FPS limiter when in the menu...

    Not sure the cards are overheating cause I have a large case with heaps of fans and the bsods have only started since installing the 1.03 patch. Could play for hours before.

  10. Try without the Super Clocked in your SLI configuration, and memory OC ...

    Super clocked just means the card has been super clocked by EVGA. There is no setting super clocked per say. The clocks are fixed in the card unless I manually change them with a EVGA precision or some other overclocking utility.

    The memory is already under clocked. Its rated to run at 2000MHZ also. Unless you mean run my memory at the i7's stock memory controller speed of 1333mhz?

  11. Ever since the updated 1.3 patch for ArmA 2 has been downloaded to my computer, I have been having massive crash problems with the program. It's usually just the game that crashes, but sometimes my entire computer crashes. And remember that this has only been happening since I downloaded the 1.3 patch from the Steam client. I can't play for more than an hour without it going down. Plus the computer crashes are probably not very good on it, so if somebody could tell me what to do to fix it, that would be great!!!

    Thank you,

    FlipKing25

    ArmA 2: Pvt Hughes |15th MEU|

    At least you can get yours to run for an hour! Mine bsod's within a minute. Am going to reinstall and only upgrade to the 1.02 patch cause 1.03 is unplayable for me.

  12. Raptor;1399639']I as well am having this error. or Commit Charge. I cannot remember' date=' but I'm on the Manhatton mission, and cannot save anymore. Just keeps going to the commit error.[/quote']

    When the game was working for me I found that deleting all but a couple of the most recent save games helped with this.

  13. Since updating the game to 1.03 from 1.02 the game only runs for about 30 seconds after loading into a campaign mission and results in a bsod. I am using no tweaks and have graphic options set to normal or low. I have the latest graphic drivers etc etc... Is anyone else having this issue? It never CTD , only bsod's its so irritating having to restart the computer every time. I am going to try it on Win7 today and hopefully have better luck on there.

  14. Jep.

    Since I deleted the downladed installer.exe the noise and HD / network traffic stopped again to normal. Any official reply on this what caused it ? Bugged download ? :confused:

    Who knows. Windows may have been defraging the file, indexing it etc.

  15. ;1390491']i have BSOD all the time when play some 30-40 min with far viewdistanse after Alt+TAB

    Quite an annoyance mine are. They are always random and never seem to re-ocour in the same situation. Changing graphics settings doesnt help either infact I get bsods changing settings sometimes.

  16. Anyone else getting this bsod? I can play the game for hours sometimes with no issue but today I have had 2 bsod's in the space of 10 mins. I have the latest drivers, game updates etc etc.

    Edit: Forgot to mention the bsod's are usually flickering from white to blue.
