Hi All,
I have only been fiddling with the demo of of the game and have been having some serious sound issues. I couldn't hear someone talking unless I turned away from them. No bullet or helicopter sounds. In fact I could be in the helicopter at 100m off the ground and hear a bird chirp clear as day.
I updated all my drivers to the latest available but still no good. Anyway, since my system is getting a little old, although Arma 1 plays pretty good, I decided it was time to Overclock the E6400 from 2.18ghz to a stable 3.0Ghz. I kept my ram timing at there standard 4-4-4-12 and left the GF7950gt standard as it already gets pretty hot.
Long story short, sound is now fine, I am running pretty reasonable graphics setting but do still experience a fair bit of blurring and movement in the picture but otherwise all is looking and sounding heaps better.
Who would have though that overclocking the CPU would make such a difference. Am I to assume that this game is more cpu than gpu dependant?
Help with graphics problem please

Glad you got a fix to your problem. The last time that type of problem happened to me it was heat related. If i took the side panel off the pc and blew a fan on the graphics card, the artifacting went away.
As for a fast AGP card, something like the ATI Radeon HD3850 is still good bang for buck.
