Yup im with you mate. Jus got back on Arma 2 after like a months break patched it up to 1.07 then joined a server that was never above 100MS on a traceroute and getting 5000 pings and 40000 desync when playing on the server.

Me too still BI has provided no solution maybe its my internet but i dont think it is as Battlefield 2 and other games run perfectly in online play.

Im with you brother. Every server i go on i get that most hated yellow chain and my desync rises and rises even when im on a local server. Arma 2 online is so freaking fun that it makes me almost suicidal that i cant play at all.

[Intro to Mission]

Hi ive created a long as intro using camera.sqs but im not sure how to end the intro so that once its finished it goes straight into the mission where i am able to control a unit. Ive searched the forums and all i found was that you just have to save the mission under the same name as intro and itll work?

Can someone please tell me in detail how to do this as i am a bit of a noob who really wants to make mission on Arma 2

I have this problem too but i get the red chain and losing connection instantly after ive joined the server and excuse my language but its Fucking annoying. Im definitely on local servers and yet my ping goes through the roof even though ive got plenty of broardband left!

I see that quite alot of other players have this problem. The problem is i join an online game and then it loads up fine i recieve all the data then just as i pick my role what i want to be the red chain pops up and i lose connection instantly. The thing i cant understand is these servers im trying i was playing like 6 hours ago and now it does this problem for nearly every server i try to join. So if there is an ultimate solution i would greatly appreciate it. Ive tried the winsock restart thing and still nothing.

Hi whenever i try to connect to a Multiplayer server my internet loses its connection fully. I have to quit Arma2 then repair my internet. I was able to play the other day fine but now it happens all the time i cant play at all. Ive tried the cmd.exe Netsh winsock reset and it doesnt fix it. Please if anyone has the same problem or knows how to fix it please please please tell me how.

Just one quick question from me. I can see enemy soldiers clearly but they are quite far away, how do i target them so it makes me able to tell my men to target them?? And then shoot them.

Yea im trying to put a hunting rifle in my car with ammo but i only get the gun this is my script

Truck addweaponcargo ["HuntingRifle", 1]

Truck addmagazinecargo ["HuntingRifle", 4]

but it comes up with 'bin/config.bin/Cfg Magazines.HuntingRifle Magazine'

[How to save in .sqs]

Oh sweet thanks man. I tried that but when i save it it still saves it as an ARMA.script.document i take it thats what i want??? But then when i do [] exec ?myscript.sqs? in the init part of the map it comes up invalid number in expression????!?! And when i save my missions where should it go im pretty sure its ,my documents/Arma2/missions right but they dont go there!! Holy Shit this is annoying do i save as user mission or export to single missions please somone help me please!!!!

This is driving me mad. I have notepad and am trying to do my first script but every time i save it with my mission its saved as a text document and then when i click the arrrow to save it as a different format only sql is there???? Anyone got anything for me?
