  1. I know I am probably late on this. I did some searching on the topic, there was slight interest in my looking around, but no real suggestion. I played this for the first time last week "Sector Control 48" on Zargabad. It is FANTASTIC. I could say you should include more Sector Control maps, but what shocks me is there is no wizard for the maps. I think one should be included that allows us non-scripting-familiar wanna be mission makers to take hold and make our own Sector Control missions just like the Zargabad mission. By far the BEST PvP action we (my friends and I) have had on Arma2. Plus all of the extra little features scripted in really really make this outstanding. Thanks BIS. Mike.

    Well, tried it out. Awesome. Great job so far. 1 thing I would like to see would be some enhanced bullet impact effects on the ground contacts. Other then that everything is great. The Warrior looks so nasty when it is lighting stuff up now. Thanks for this.

  5. That is an interesting question. I suppose just edit one of the original warfare buildings to the parameters you require? Other input? Hmmm.
  6. Though this probably belongs in multi-player and not user missions, I will reply. If you are a decent player and understand controlling AI and work as a team; the east is more than sufficiently stocked with equipment. Sure it would be nice to see more most specifically in terms of air. Add together CO and it is evenly matched no doubt with the KA-52. I play mostly on foot taking towns and no amount of west tech can stop me other than a well coordinated effort and teamwork on their behalf; regardless what type of equipment is employed. But more is always better if we can get it.

After expansion add the semi colon and your mods.
  8. I think that perhaps they are able to target actual laser targets. IE from a players designator.
  9. I actually figured this out right after I posted, because although I tried a bunch of things I didn't try this. Also, I didn't read Dwardens link, so if this doesn't help then try his link. Instead of right clicking and running as administrator do this.... Right click properties >>> Compatibility (Tab) >>> Under Privilege Level check run as administrator. Apply. That fixed the issue for me. Kinda of weird, but it works when simply right clicking, run admin doesnt (for me). Goodluck.
  10. Anyone else getting this? I have tried all different path settings and launch options....to no avail. I can not connect on any battle eye enabled server, running as administer or otherwise. If anyone has any ideas that'd be great. Thanks.

  12. Using the thermal scopes is well...difficult in this game. You can't tell where you rds are going and in most cases (PvP) have only a rough estimate of range. We need to see the rds travel and impact, as one would with a real thermal. Thanks.

    AmmoBox crash

    @qwertz You told me yesterday in the server use the Beta patch. I figured F it, I do not want to go DL that right now, so I just played with the stock loadout. After playing one death, I could all of the sudden access the boxes without crashing. Everytime I join, and go right to the box, I crash. Wait till 1 death = no crash. Hahahaha.

    Like I said in the last thread, I am looking forward to playing this. But the mandatory TS3 is a little much in my opinion; most specifically for Civs. We enjoy playing from our own TS3; and in game VoIP works when I need to communicate with other Civs. Plus it forces me to remove myself from our comms where others who are not involved in CL2 may need to communicate. Nonetheless this mod looks very good. Cheers on the release.

    @Shockwave You shouldn't edit the expansions section at all it simply needs to be in the command line. As for trying to access your OA short-cut what exactly happened? You went to the directory of OA.exe and then what? The first thing you want to be able to do to have is have a usable shortcut to which you can edit its command line.

    Combined Operations + Mods

    Hi. This is the easiest way I have found to run mods on Combined Ops. I have steam copies and wrote these regarding that but I figure they will work with any mix and match of Arma 2 and OA. Post Installation Process: Running the games together (Arma2 and OA) is not difficult, but running them together WITH mods takes a little run around with command lines. First go to your OA directory, right click Arma2OA.exe and create a short-cut on the desktop. Right click on that short-cut and select properties. This is how your command line should look (or similarly for non-steam users) out of the box, "Y:\ProgramFiles(X86)\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe" We need to modify it to run Arma 2, OA itself and ACE2 mod. What we are doing with the command line above is adding this portion: "-mod=Y:\ProgramFiles(X86)\steamapps\common\arma 2; to point it towards Arma2 and after the semi colon we are adding Y:\ProgramFiles(X86)\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\EXPANSION in order to enable the use this as an expansion. Lastly a semi colon is entered and you may add your typical mods. Be sure that you close out the line with the last " mark. When all is said and done it will resemble mine below. "Y:\ProgramFiles(X86)\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe" "-mod=Y:\ProgramFiles(X86)\steamapps\common\arma2;Y:\ProgramFiles(X86)\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\EXPANSION;@CBA;@ACE;@ACEX;@ACEX_SM" That's it, should work.   20. @inveigle You should use the preset that you want to use. If you wish to play ACE on OA only then use the OA preset. If you wish to use ACE on OA & Arma2 (Combined Operations) use the combined ops preset. Depending on your installation process for OA and Arma 2 you should double check the settings section and make sure your paths are correct to each game. Cheers, Mike.
  21. Alright I got ACE:OA working after a couple hours of getting the games running together and it is great so far. Jeez, more guns then I'll ever use. Actually, I will use them only it will take some time. Can't wait to see some missions cranked out with this stuff; and can't wait to see what's next down the road in ACE.   22. In reply to the original post. I like the current menus. They seem much faster than what could be offered through a radial command menu. Once you're playing for a while they become very easy to memorize and execute quickly.

    This seems like an interesting mod. I have a question that I didn't see in the various pages that I read. Will this mod be able to track progress of players somehow? IE a player leaves the server and returns the next day to begin where they left off as far as rank/position? Or will it be a system that only works for the duration of that individuals time on the server then resets? Sorry if this was already asked/answered. Thanks, Mike.
