  1. could we get an MP kill count fix? it's HIGHLY irritating to jump into a t-72 playing as opfor and get negative kills for neutralizing blufor, other vehicles and weapon systems suffer from the same bug, in fact even commandeering an enemy vehicle and neutralizing targets should not be penalized.

  2. It's tuff to Admin a full server of boneheads.

I had to start with the [TE] guys comming in and TKing everyone in sight then asking what is the big deal when I ask them to Quit.

After that episode I now ask players to not fire in base cause it makes me nervous,

as for the A10 deal I ask all Pilots to get on our Teamspeak and spam the page with that info if they do not but still jump in Aircraft I kick them.

If you want a well Admined Server you have to understand there are a few rules that must be followed.

yes, that sounds about right for [TE], they get a kick out of being douchebags though so far my exposure to them has been relatively benign as i've seen them trying to (poorly) play as a team, guess they gave up and are now in the raging mode.

  3. Great Info....Lets Add two things.

    1. NEVER Jump in chopper or plane to fly without asking.it seems BF2 players aree checking the game out and decide to take off with no team communication and this destroys a well played server. (We make them join Teamspeak or get kicked).

    2. NEVER move respawn unit without asking.

Ah how many times have the disrespectful jumped in the LAv and drove into the RED zone.

the chopper is a big deal for me, it seems the majority of people who jump into choppers are retarded newbies who either crash into the landscape trying to hit a target with ffars or fly veeerrrryyyy slooowlyyy trying to avoid hitting the landscape only to get killed by tanks or shoulder mounted unguided rockets. another peeve is that that kind of person is not interested in winning the objectives nor helping the team, at least as far as AAS is concerned, they're beyond useless in the air and would better serve everyone if they were at least a target on the ground that the enemy can focus on while the real players maneuver into flanks and take objectives.

  4. glad to see i'm not the only one that has love for the bmp3, it's a beast against all types of vehicles and the best infantry support vehicle out there, it can lay all kinds of destructive suppressive fire to cover advancing infantry unlike it's marine counterparts which seem lacking in comparison.

  5. ;1385421']Probably the worst game play I have ever experienced. If you like getting blown up every 5 seconds by a new aerial threat than this is definitely for you.

really? the choppers have restricted loadouts and it's rare to see anybody but a newbie flying those things, which they usually do low and slow. i've shot down more choppers with a tank in berzerk than i ever did playing OFP.

berzerk is a fun map/playmode and an excellent introduction into ARMA2 PvP.

  6. I would say it depends on where you hit the helicopter. Im sure hitting the cockpit would probably down it, the tail, the engine and other smaller areas that would sever controls.

helicopters are fragile things, while i agree a sabot round would need to hit the right component to down a chopper, a high explosive round produces a shotgun effect which would hit multiple components and effectively down any chopper, and if not, at least neutralize most of the personnel located inside.

  7. greetings, after a few hours of online play i have noticed that HE rounds seem to be half as effective against soft skinned vehicles like the hummer, UAZ and especially the helicopters.

i've been left incredulous when a 100mm bmp3 HE round strikes a flying chopper filled with infantry and the chopper keeps flying and worse of all none of the occupants are killed, try that with a sabot and the chopper goes up in flames.

my understanding is that the effects should be reversed, sabot should go through soft skinned vehicles leaving minimal damage and HE should be devastating to them. any clarifications would be appreciated.
