Voted Bad.
Whilst the co-op campaign issues have received some attention it is still pretty unplayable.
Over a 3h gaming session we found
- loading/rejoining in co-op has improved from 0% success to about 33% success rate;
- but we sufferred several huge chunks of desynching, where I could not see the host player and other AI NPCs moving around, they were stationery at another location for me;
- AI team buddies still love to kill themselves when we disembark from the chopper, ending the mission (although with the save at any time feature, this is not a huge issue anymore but, really, WTF were the QA guys doing!);
Overall, a slight improvement but trying to play ARMA2 co-op is still a hugely frustrating and time-wasting experience!
Version 1.03 is still not up to Release Candidate standard, if you ask me!

Do people really still play the campaign and single player? It's all about multiplayer and it's a gem in that department :)Some of us would like to play the co-op campaign but it's unplayable in current condition.
The co-op campaign is the ONLY reason I bought the game, to play through with a mate and we still feel ripped off by Bohemia and pissed off at all the people here telling us that the campaign just doesn't matter!!!

If it bothers you that much, take your game, your receipt and ask for your money back.Believe me, I would if I could!
But have you tried getting a refund on an open piece of PC software... it's nigh on impossible!
I bought my copy from an online shop... try submitting a return request and explaining that the campaign is so broken that it's unplayable in co-op mode, which is the one and only reason we bought the game! They're just not going to consider such a request!

Oh crap... one question - is the campaign playable at all? I collected 3 players to play this campaign as a multiplayer game, we had some difficulties at Razor Two mission, and we past it with great luck (someone of us shot the car with the bad guy (not lepotev but the other one) from the chopper's minigun = succsess complite). Now we are stuck at manhattan, if we meet the lady at the church and bring her to land area - everyone dies because of the huge attack.Nope, it's a buggy POS... congrats on getting past Razor Two, we're stuck on that in co-op :(
Personally, I'm going to uninstall it and wait for 1.03 (which had better be soon and had better address the co-op/campaign issues!) or for Flashpoint2.

So for all you complainers who are squealing about what a rip off Arma II is because the Campaign is temporarily buggy, stop and look at what you're getting when you buy Arma II..I stopped.
I looked.
It didn't help... the Campaign was still broken and I still feel ripped off.
Just 'cos a.n.other product gets a certain set of features doesn't make the abysmal state of ARMA2's co-op campaign (a feature listed on the box) any less relevant.
I've never seen such fanboi'ism as there is on these forums!

I don't understand teh bitching about the Campaign. You know it'll be fixed eventually. But who cares? It's this program...it's so full of life. And death too I guess.Well, you see, I took the following quote from the back of the box...
Play the campaign missions in cooperative mode...to mean that I could play the campain in coop mode.
So, myself and a mate both bought the game and currently feel extremely ripped off that we can't just play the campaign through in coop mode due to the extreme bugs and issues even after the 1.02 patch.
Personally, in the same way that you don't seem to care about the current state of the campaign, I don't care about the editing side of the game, downloading mods or playing non coop modes.
We just want to play the frigging campaign in coop mode.
"It'll be fixed eventually" is way too late for this game, IMHO... if a new patch isn't very soon, this rip-off piece of junk (again, IMHO) will be uninstalled and binned.

The co-op campaign was the only reason myself and a mate bought this game.
I admit, ARMA has some amazing features but the fact is that the co-op campaign does not work.
If a patch 1.03 were to fix these issues in the very near future then Bohemia might rescue the situation but, as it stands, I wouldn't touch any future product with a frigging huge bargepole!

the campaign is completely broken in Co-op. Scripting errors, Chopper problems, and task issues happen constantly, much worse than in single player. Hopefully that will be rectified next patchMyself and a mate only bought this game for the co-op campaign.
The co-op campaign does not work.
I don't care if it's a fantastic engine with a great editor and loads of user created content will appear... we bought it for the co-op campaign and that is a dud at the moment.
If a 1.03 patch were to arrive soon and fix this then you might rescue the situation but, as of now, we both feel ripped off and will not be investing in any future ARMA games!
Is it possible to use my USB headset for ARMA VON whilst still using my 5.1 for game

This is how I play most games - game sounds coming out of my 5.1 speakers and voice comms using my Plantronics CS60-USB wireless headset.
However, I can't see a way to configure ARMA2 this way - it just seems to use the default system devices for VON.
Is it possible to configure ARMA2 to do the above?
