Played Cipher v1.41 in specop mode coop with a buddy. Used: JTD Fire and Smoke CBA SLK 1.5 ( latest release ) VFAI I have about 30 - 40 FPS ALL the time! with the lower 59xx betas i was running 25-30 somtimes high 30s Before the latest betas ( and a little overclock of my GPU shader clock from 1512 MHz to 1620 MHz) One other thing i did, was deactivate windows search service. The combination of the newest beta, the light overclock, and the deactivation of the windows search service gave me about a 10 fps gain. Settings: AA= off ( using nhancer for that 4xS setting ) AF= off Prepossessing= off All else is on very high and native res 1680x1050 THANK YOU BIS!! your hard work is well received, and show just how much you guys care about your release and your community !:-) -

Same here, but i think i know why. please test this: When you exit, wait until the menu and background graphix have loaded, then end the game. I have noticed, when quickly exiting to main menu, and then choosing End Game it produces this error. However when exiting to main menu, waiting until all is loaded, then exiting to Desktop seems to work flawlessly... Anybody else observe this? -

Wow wow and wow... ( yea i am not talkin about a blizzard game ) :-) Bohemia interactive Studio dose it again! Simply fantastic. Yea you guys would win that "developer of the year" contest, Not because you pump out game after game, but because you really care that WHAT you release, is as close to what you and the community would like to achieve as possible... even if it means pumping out patches:-) Great. I for one will support you however i can, BI has proven ( again ) that every tital from them is worth every penny paid for it :-) To the patches, i cant tell much yet, xcept that i am very happy to get them. Will test tonight. From what i read so far, it seems great . Thank you again and again for all that BIS -
Oh man, great first post man!! that's exactly how i feel. This game ( should we call it game? ) no.. this Mil-Sim is really astonishing. I am playing every day, mostly single player and coop with some of my buddy's ( i suggest you check out the mission: CIPHER 1.40 by Wiper posted in the user missions forum ) Its very very impressive, and demonstrates well the re playability and surprising outcomes of encounters in in the game world. For me, this Mil-Sim symbolizes the Holy grail! ( oh.. that sounds stupid!) Yea it has some flaws, and bugs, but considering the scope of this sandbox sim, i can live with the bugs, in knowing BIS is workin on them. I will buy the next BIS title as well, even if its buggy! They produce a game, need money, ( hey we are talking about a relatively small developer having the balls to push boundaries, and go where no game developer has been before :-) decide to release it to gett again some cash flow... and fix it up, its ok for me ,i support them, and have yet to be disappointed. ( damn, i sound like a fanboy again ) :-) glad you guys like it as i do :-) game on ( i should sys SIM on... but that might get misunderstood :-)

It seems to work ok here, It is difficult that's true, in real war... wouldn't it be difficult to hear where your being shot at from? Ok, i don't Know how it is in real war, but when watching a good ( war) movie, the soldiers seem to also have truble pinpointing EXACTLY where it is. The gerenral direction is quickly acquired, but the exact position is pretty hard to find..... I find it works well enough even though it is not easy. i have a 5.1 system, and for me, gunshots do pan around... gota retest precicly. i have crystalizer on in my XFi settings, everything else ( SVM, Upmix ect.) is off. The explosions are more of a problem for me. because it should be possible to pinpoint a loud bang... easier then a ( or several gunshots? I hope too that BIS dose work on hardware support for ARMA2. maybe that would add a couple of FPS as well for everybody?

So... we have to make an equipment call to the community, as for Mark and his Hi-Fi Sound Mod..http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=79301, If we put together a PC, send it to him, he will be able to continue. Because i have no more use for them, i am gladly willing to throw 2 GB of OCZ 667 Gold DDR2 memory in the pot .

I think this goes in the Most fabulous quotes section :-) By TimRiceSE I haven't played the game ...what was the title? ah Dragoons Ricing. no, but judging from the reviews, it cant be THAT great. Now, its been released, and the user reviews.. sorry, i mean the Mil-Sim Fan reviews tell me its ( see the quote above ), no way i`m gonna install that! Thanx. Rock on BIS :-) ( no i am not a fanboy, just a satisfied customer :-)

I am just wondering, is the author of this still working on it? Id like to use this, but in this current state, its almost not usable, at least in multilayer. Single player seems to work great. Can somebody explain how to binrize this, or is somebody willing to binarize it for us? performance is terrible with this mod, however it has some good ideas. I think binarizing it could help in getting better performance? Great mod so far:-)

This is my question since the beginning of this thread. is it possible, to have ALL AI ( friendly and enemy ) reflect your, more intelligent behavior? i can imagine: 2 specop teams from opposite sides meet near a town, they don't ( yet ) know of each other....... the outcome ... damn.. it would be fabtastic ;:-=) great work man, looks very interesting :-) -
For me it seems all fine and dandy. BIS are doing a great job, and i am sure, things will improve even more. there are still some things to iron out, and i am confident, that >BIS is working hard to do so. Thanx BIS for this great sandbox :-)

just a thought as well, how about playing the bad guys, but not just playing the same mission, but effectively trying to protect the case from the west specops foces. Just a role switch type of thing. Is this possible as coop mission? this could also be done in pvp where one side protects the suitcase, and another trys to get to it. maybe even making the suitcase movable ( only be the gereral though) and therefor going for an all new dimension in this cat and mouse game:-) again. I love it. Best mission so far for arma 2 2 little points In Multyplayer, we dont get the vehicle selected at start. The respawn thing is solved, bikes are always there now, thats good. But if i choose armoured vehicle ( a humvee in this case ) at the start its not there, i only get the bikes. maybe you can look into that again wiper? thanx for all that :-) -

wow great. I would love to see more missions like this ( quote by wiper ) "Cipher isn't a war scenario at all, its rather sort of a special operations mission mostly focused on close (urban) infantry combat." i wish there were more missions like this, The big war, shoot-them-all-and-kill-anything-that-moves... is slowly getting boring :-) i prefer the tension of closing in on that big red circle, never knowing if the vehicle coming down the road is a patrol or a civilian..... Tactics, and general situation of awareness is the key:-) thanx a gain wiper,very nice work do you have a new project going, maybe a cipher with multiple objectives? ive realy become a fan of your work:-) the best mission out there at the moment! -

I realy dont want to sound smart ass, but its ZielERfassung -Target acquisition. but we all got what you guys meant i think :-) For me the betas runn pretty good, i have no real probs, that keep me from playing. however, the flickering texture issue, dose bother me somewhat. if a fix could come from Nvidia,( because i thingk its more an nvidia problem, then a BIS problem ) that would be great @BIS , keep it up the beta program is fantastic, and the progress is good:-) a big thanx from Switzerland :-) -

Just my 2 c. A big THANX to the devs of ACE 2 and ACE X. Very impressive. We as community should not take this for granted, and bitch around. Giving suggestions is fine, but do it with respect! pleas stay respectful. The devs of ACE are working on this in their free time, and so are sacrificing a part of their life FOR US. Of course they have fun doing it, but its still a lot of work. man that's just great. Pleas keep up the good work, ill be gladly waiting until its released, This is going to be fantastic, and includes all that i am missing on the Ultimate Military Simulation . thanx Ace -

Yes, at the first start everything is fine. However, if you die and then re spawn, there is nothing except the crates at the start. this is playing spec op or spec op light in mp. First go we have the bikes. On second go after death, we have to walk all the way to the hot zone, or capture a car somewhere, but even this is not very cool, because the cars are so slow off road..... ( i don't mind this, but because of this problem, it has become an issue :-) @Wiper If you see a server "Cipher v1.38 Specop JTD fire and Smoke auf haze PC", please do join for a little session :-) -

Nope... no vehicle at spawn point for us. The supply crates are there, but........ in singleplayer there is always a bike . -

I dont know if this is an issue, or if i am doing something wrong.... I chose single player, enter my parameters ( Vehicle , time of day ect ) and every thing is fine. However if i play a coop game via internet , i host the server on my machine, I dont get the vehicles. Sometimes after respawning, i dont even have a vehicle, and have to walk all the way. to fetch the briefcase. i would almost prefer the old version, where you start of with bikes, always ( very important!!) get a new bike at start point if you die , and if you want the heavy stuff, try and get yourself one of the apcs or vodniks from the enemy. Its possible :-) ive done it :-) Anybody else have this issue?
