    thats what i first though but when i lower fill rate or other settings the fps dont change, the only thing which makes a difference is vis, but i still get a sudden drop in fps every 10 ish seconds, (unfortunatly dell's motherboard locks you from overclocking the proccessor), i have noticed the when the sudden change in fps takes place the hardrive light is on, and on return to normal fps it is off or flickering, (definatly going to defrag), sometimes at night the light is on constantly and the hardrive is making a rather loud noise, anyone know what could be going on there

    hi i run arma 2 on my pc at 200% 3d resolution at 1680 X 1050 ,(anti aliasing, antistropic, post process) are disabled, visibillity at 1000, terrain at low, objects and texture at normal and video memory very high, the game runs at aound 40-50 fps however every 10 ish seconds it drops to around 20fps causing the game to jump quite badly.

    This is very annoing and help and advise would be appreciated,

    My system:

    Intel core 2 quad Q6600 @ 2.4 ghz

    4gb ram

    Ati XFX HD5850 1gb

    550w corsair power supply

    Vista 32 bit home premium

    Dell xps 420

    I have made a mission where upon activation 3 AV8B bombers will fly over and airstrike an area, however at the moment i only have them on a destroy waypoint, and when they flyover they do not attack, could someone please tell me how i can get them to fly over and drop thier bombs, and then to come back and pick off any left over enemies.

    I can make a construction module fine and can use it but there are no options for building things and there is no money so if there was the option I would still not be able to build anything. could you please tell me what i am doing wrong ........ also when i make things like an hq, barraks, light factory, etc, via mission editor for me to use ..... i cant use them

    i guess this is a bit stupid but when I make a mission for me and a friend to play in using mission editor i dont know how to make respawn points so when you die .. thats it. could you also tell me how to get vehicles to respawn please....... P.s .(slightly off subject) when i complete the vtol tutoriol on boot camp the box doesnt get the green tick of completion all the others do though.
