    Guess most people would have expect some new ingame pictures or even a cutscene from A3. Is there really nothing to show + say from A3 development or is all work on A3 temporarily stopped until DayZ is done/released?

    I believe stand alone day-Z is one of the main reasons.... sadly, i have to admit i hate zombies....

    here si explained many of the features of dayz standalone, are the ones that should be innovative in Arma 3.... i begin to think, arma3 will have the same destiny of operation flashpoint 2 (never published)

    It really isn't as simple as you make it sound. Members of a development team are not interchangable like bricks of lego, even if you disregard the fact that these people are not just colleagues, but friends. New people need to become acquainted with your tools, processes and code base, not to mention the rest of the team. Finding the right people for the job takes time, integrating them into the team takes time, getting them up to the level of their predecessors takes even more time... and time is money.

    As long as there is still a chance that their two friends will get back soon, I doubt BIS will be so heartless as to try and replace them.

    I'm not so sure. Martin is an artist, and they don't seem to be looking for any artists.

    Yeah i believe you're right, i didn't considered the fact, in videogame developing maybe it is a bit complicated to replace certain professional characters....

    And sorry but i believe in buisness matters friends doesn't exist, but just resources

    I hope you get arrested and left to rot in a jail cell in some foreign country...

    Don't worry tho, no one will care about you and you will be replaced at your place of work. It'll be fine.

    Look, in most cases I would get all hate-y when someone sets a deadline and breaks it (for something like an alpha, not a full release. Release state matters, alpha not so much), but in this case... when two of your team are imprisoned (one being in a very senior position) work will probably be slowed dramatically, even if the rest of the team does stay at work. To say it briefly, deadlines be damned when two of your team are imprisoned.

    They're differently scaled and most objects/features are different to real life (to an extent!). I'm betting that airfield will be modified vastly, at the moment it looks almost exactly the same as its real life basis.

    I believe at the actual world crisis, even if 2 are imprisoned, you can replace 'em; considering they'll be out of prison after the next 5 years if everything is going well, (if golden dawn will take the political power they'll never be released because nazis are in this way),you can replace 'em with skilled persons, and ain't difficult to find twice, remeber that BIS is a company and companyes are working for to earn moneys, and i believe 2 developers in jail don't stop buisness... after all buisness are buisness

    and i have to say as a company owner, this is the right thing, casualties can't stop buisness, and should not, wich isn't in jail have to earn moneys to live BTW

    i hope that Alpha release would be "between Jan 1st and March 1st " :)

    In the official arma3.com website in the bottom of the home page there's written coming 4Q 2012, so i believe we will play the release soon, because i believe for marketing matters (maybe someone not fan never looks at these forums, but just the official w.s.), it is a very bad thing to keep written in the official W.S. a wrong estimated release period, so i would like to be optimistic, and i believe we'll se the full game release in December, 4Q 2012 ain't jan 2013

    Let the game DEP see how The team of Invasion44 has been doing for their fans! It's a charged game but no party wants to communicate their customers and fans regularly and one party even refuses to pay royalities at the cost of ruining the game and abandoning their customers!

    For sure next when i see on a game deep Sh..t logo for sure for sure for sure i'll don't buy it.... because players and customers are nothing for them....

    From what we understood on the IF forum, the AWAR devs have completed the 1.04 patch ages ago, but there's a dispute between BIS and DeepSilver (distributing the game) which prevents the patch from being released.

    Maybe someone from BIS could somehow confirm this ? (Well, i know that the legal disputes aren't meant to be discussed publicly, though...).

    Or please BIS buy all the rights of iron front and be the publisher of the great development team that is awar, like to sega did in rome total war wich was first published by activision, and then after 3 patches gave the sega logo because sega bought all the rights, very needed and if you BIS own IFL44 publishing rights it is much more better for all of the players, developers modders and mission makers or just in one word communityes, and my dream is deep silver to fall in the dark and BIS to become the IFL44 and awar publisher because IFL44 has a huge potential and it is very well done

    Ok an entire year have passed out untill we noticed the release of arma 3..... right it was dated to be released in summer 2012, a very long year suffering for to waiting for this, E3 is finished time ago GC finished, videos are very nice, the release date has been posticipated, but please BIS release the alpha soon or i'll become insane.... please have mercy and save me from my insanity..... please can't wait anymore....

    I'm Italian and very disappointed about that....

    Rommel Himself spoke about Italian valor, and don't forget we've defeated Germas by our Partisans Guerrilla (most of the partisans were civilians)

    You putted an X to don't put Swastika (historical) but you've puted that nice humor about Italy...

    About Berlusconi you can say everything, but about that history period.. just check history books

    before to mention my country in a nice humor thing.....

    Our soldier didn't had water to drink in the african campaign but they shown their valor

    so next time you make a game please......

    so please have respect for all countries and its died men of valor

    I've experienced a very strange problem with this island, i've ported a domination 2 by xeno v 2.54, i use the same template for all islands and for all of the domis i port on many different maps everithing working, side main etc, in this island is the only one wich make my non damaged mhq and lift chopper respawning even if they aren't damaged, the only place on all of the map where do this doesn't happens is the first hill between forte san giorgio and the red and white striped tower (don't remember its name right now), in the rest of the island my vehicles do respawn.....only here, i've ported on fallujah, panthera, lingor, duala the same domi and this issue doesn't happens....

    I donno why

    PS I really love this island, and i'd like to solve this problem, because this domination is very very nice on this island wich i consider the best arma2 island addon, panthera and all of the others are none in front of this one

    This doesn't work for me. I just downloaded both arma2 and the expansion on steam, and I started them both at least once.

    "ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value." x2

    This is one of the reasons 'cause i hate steam, it gifts just problems, issues, and much more, my personal opinion : don't buy new games on Steam if you can it's really a bad platform, and the steam support almost doesn't exist

    I've seen Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead available in my language (Italian) just on Steam, but i really hate Steam and i'd like to buy it in digital download on others platforms, will it be available in italian on sprocket also or just on Steam ?, should i wait to buy it, hopeing for another way to download it or should i looking for a boxed version ?, 'cause i wanna stay away from Steam if i can, 'cause Steam is always full of issues.

    and i've got enough of it expecially for my favourite games

    i absolutely prefeir modern combat than ww2 combat and tactics were more different,including huge assaults not like now,and the videogames world is full of ww2 games and just small modern combat. i absolutely prefeir it, ww2 is boring too many games,and in different kind from FPS to strategic ones, i'm sorry but from my point of view modern combat is awesome,and ww2 combat sucks, i'm waiting for an Iraq warfare kind of arma 2, desert combat and more
