This looks great Lyotchik.
Will damage or collisions affect the train? Will it be possible to set up sabotage missions to blow it off the rails with a satchel etc? -
Give mods/mission makers and server admins some time to get things compatible with the new patch.
In a couple of days everything should be back to normal.

Thanks for the update guys.

Try the good old verify game cache: "Consider using the Steam client option to verify the integrity of the local game cache to avoid corrupted data after downloading this update."

It looks decent when out in the open

But as much of the game play is in buildings, caves and other instances I spend most of my time looking at this:

http://imgur.com/a/kOF9YIt's so bad I'm wondering if the game settings are broken? Everything is set to ultra settings, running on a good rig with GTX 970.

After 4-5 hours of playtime I can suggest that people that's on the fence aout this game should hold on to their money until moders have improved it.
Wait until the GOTY edition next year and patches and mods will probably make it a much better experience. It has great potential, but it's not playable for me at least with the current useless console UI and subpar texture quality.

hey mate can you make a map where we can have like the twin towers, eiffel tower, big ben, london eye and taj mahal all on the same map???
I like that you keep your mod requests small and humble...

You have used time and resources to make a new stamina system catering for the life/wasteland crowd, thats gonna turn it off anyway.
And removed the more advanced fatigue system that the more realism oriented part of the arma community want to have,
which probably gonna need to be reintroduced by mods, ace2 etc.So soon we will have a system in place that barely no one gonna use?

Is there a link to the test mission anywhere?
Seems like the one in the Play With Six folder is outdated, and I could not find any in the mod folder from Armaholic.EDIT: it was the PW6 version that was not up to date. It got an update the other day, but it says version 1.901 and contains the old files.
Installed manually from Armaholic an everything worked, realized the new exhibition mission was listed under showcases and not missions as the old one. -
Looks very nice. Good luck with the project, I hope you get everything working in game.

Congrats on the release guys. This project are a fantastic gift to the community
and will no doubt be a baseline for many arma groups mod collections.
Keep up the good work, can't wait for the terrain and vehicle pack. :)
-
Great work poolpunk, I'm sure both terrain makers and mission makers will find good use of these.

I doubt it, different engines. Take on Mars uses Enforce.
Don't think Bohemia would allow it either if it was possible.
-
Just a heads up. When I download 'Blastcore skies' from PW6 there are just an empty folder. The PBOs are missing.
You have to manually change to version beta 1.0 in PW6 to get the pbos

Took it for a short test spin in the editor. Looks really great. You have nailed the forest feeling.
Nice to see vehicle speed reduced off road, makes roads much more tactical important. I wish all maps had this.
-
If I remember correctly it was bound to it's own key in fallout 3. Normal aiming down the sights was default I think. So you can just choose not to use it.
-
That looks great Toysoldier. Have you put Defunkts idea into a working mod , or is it just "concept art"?
-
Sometimes I wonder what games people have secret access to? Since they must be playing some pretty awesome, photo realistic stuff to think that W3 looks like garbage.
-
The freelook when pressing left alt has become very sluggish. Head movement continue long after mouse movement has stopped. Like there is some acceleration/smoothing crap on.
I usually use TrackIR so it's not a big deal, but it didn't used to be like that?
-
Thanks for all your hard work, congrats on the release

-
It did work(buggy) in earlier versions of the game when you hosted locally. Haven't tried it in over a year so it maybe some patch have broken it completely.
-
I have some issues installing this with PW6. Only Core, MARPAT and OCP will install correctly.
The rest of them throws up and generic error message. (check firewall, antivirus, disk space, blablabla...)
Do anyone else get this?

Is there any third party shenanigans you need to play this game, e.g GFWL? I hate it when I buy a game on steam and I have to register through some secondary launch tool to get started.

1.54 Fatigue is too Unrealistic
in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Posted
I don't understand why people complain about running.
With the new system you can run indefinitely at 14 kilometers per hour carrying up to 45 kilos of gear,
up and down hills with no penalties.(If they are extreme steep are you forced to walk). Thats an insane speed to keep up over longer distances with combat gear.
Sprint only gives you 4 km/h more, increasing your speed to 18.
A unit with no gear can sprint about 380 meters before running out of stamina, medium 200 meter, and a heavy only about 20m.
There is no need to rest when you are out of stamina though, just throttle away at 14km/h as long as you like.
I suspect average run speed is now greater than before, where you got fatigued by both run/sprint+ weight and had to take a breather every so often.
One of the things that make the sway a bit extreme is when you hold to long/release the breath button. If anyone still plays with that bound to right mouse button/zoom they should rebind it to a separate key, or I guess you will have a constant amount of huge vertical sway while zooming in.
Add a bit of fatigue back in or adjust run speed by weight, and make the sway a bit less extreme and this new system could be good.
