Six Updater: Install/Update mods, missions. Delta patching. Server browser, and more!
bullet purveyor replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : Community Made Utilities
I think there is something wrong with the last update of the CWR2 mod. I get this error message http://s4.postimg.org/8cut8rbwd/prob.jpg as more people have reported over in the CWR2 thread. Tried first to update, then removed the mod and reinstalled. Same error appears. Other mods update/install just fine. -

Crash When Rebinding Controls
bullet purveyor replied to Juicemonger's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
This should be fixed in the latest dev branch. "Fixed: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=7673(crash when trying to bind controls (drag and drop))" -
The Unsung Vietnam War Mod 2.5 Released
bullet purveyor replied to sgt_savage's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
The AI chatter really ads to the immersion of Sp missions, just a detail that makes a huge difference in mission atmosphere. Even though some of the phrases don't always suits the situation very good :) Really looking forward to those campaigns you guys are cooking up. -
[SP/CAMP/CO] Real-World Operations (RWO)
bullet purveyor replied to h34dup's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - USER MISSIONS
You should try to collaborate with Sickboy and Play with Six for these missions. It would be awesome if there was an RWO section in PWS where you could just click install on the mission you wanted to play, and the mission plus all the mods required was setup in a custom preset. -
There is a dedicated web page for reporting issues http://feedback.arma3.com/my_view_page.php You should post your findings there if you want them reviewed.

Play withSIX - Launcher, Downloader, ServerBrowser - FULL ARMA3 Alpha Support +more!
bullet purveyor replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Strange, @fhq_accessories shows up under local in Six for me, after I downloaded it from armaholic and put in arma3 folder. I'm running the beta of the program, maybe that can have something to do with it. Also make sure it's running in administrator mode. -

bullet purveyor replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Just install them as usual. put @mod/addons in your arma folder, and it shows up under local in Play With Six. Then add them to the preset of your choice. -
All in Arma (AiA) - TKOH/OA/A2/A1 merge with A3
bullet purveyor replied to .kju's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Fantastic work on this project .kju. Seems like there is a small issue with BAF and PMC units, they use the low resolution LITE textures Old units. New tricks. -
How to make a private game with aircarft for practise session?
bullet purveyor replied to Bazmondo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
You have to choose the category 'empty'. There you will find all vehicles and objects in the game. If you choose vehicles from Blufor or Opfor they will spawn in with units inside. Remember to put down one soldiers as player first or the empty tab want show up. -
I hate Steam's download version
bullet purveyor replied to mithbun's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - GENERAL
The game is exactly the same if you buy it on CD(As long as you install the latest updates). If there are bugs they will be on both versions. -
Steam bug. Can't choose install location.

Steam bug. Can't choose install location.
bullet purveyor posted a topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - TROUBLESHOOTING
When I try to reinstall TOH in steam I can't choose install location. A while back Steam added the function to make steam library folders at different hard drives, and you can choose where to install your games. This option is available at the start of the installation of all my other games including arma 2 and 3, but not TOH. When I start TOH installation I don't get a question in which folder I want to install, it just automatically put it into my main steam folder. Obviously I want it installed to my SSD where I have arma 2 and 3. I don't know if this is a Steam or BIS bug, but I hope you can fix it so there is no need to set up junctions or use a 3d party program when it should be available in Steam. -
Cold War Rearmed² - Public Beta
bullet purveyor replied to W0lle's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
The first convoy is ok. I did the same as you. The problem was the tanks the russians send in to support. They just take a random path over the mountain instead of following the road. So setting up an ambush was pretty hard. I got them in the end though. The T-72 drove over a tank mine, took 3 RPG hits and and finally the crew jumped out when I hit it with my RPG-75. The tank was still not totally destroyed! Maybe tone down their armor a tad Wolle? -
Cold War Rearmed² - Public Beta
bullet purveyor replied to W0lle's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
In the "ammo low" mission in the campaign. How am I supposed to take out the second wave of tanks? I put satchels in the road, but they don't follow the road into the valley so it makes it hard to predict. EDIT: Do the missions and campaign get updated on Sixupdater or do I have to manually download them? -

When i play Arma 2 & OA i get this on my screen
bullet purveyor replied to dirksterr's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I've seen similar effects when people set the video memory setting to high. Use default if you aren't already, try some of the others (high, low) if you are. -
Widescreen / Multi-monitor set up
bullet purveyor replied to Congo_Toey's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
You must choose the correct resolution in the ingame settings. 5760x1080 should be available from the drop down 3d resolution menu if you have set everything up correct in your graphic drivers. Follow my instructions here and you should be able to adjust the fov while keeping correct proportions. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?124294-I-can-t-get-arma-2-and-eyefinity-to-work-properly&p=2240958&viewfull=1#post2240958 Of course there will always be some distortion because of the "fisheye" effect. The only way to avoid that is to use an unplayable low fov value. -
[Feedback&Suggestions] equipable binocular
bullet purveyor replied to batto's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
The way Ace have it where you can lower the binos slightly to look over them and get situational awareness i perfect. Add the function to be able to walk around without doing the gun swap dance and it will be golden. -

[HMM] Stance Indicator
bullet purveyor replied to jamesf1's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
As another visual cue, maybe you could alter the symbols to e.g: vertical line | for standing stance. 45 degree for /crouch stance. And horizontal line _ for prone stance. Just to differentiate them even more when you take a quick glance in combat. Instead of all of them being horizontal lines. -
my addons (Vilas) upcoming to Arma3

It's great to see you carry your addons over to arma III Vilas. Keep up the good work. -
Compass + Watch Enlarger
bullet purveyor replied to Kerc Kasha's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Thanks for this, a must have mod. It really should be an unnecessary mod in the first place. During the entire development period of arma 1, 2 and 3, how come not one single BIS employee raised their hand and said: "Hey boss. This compass sucks ass! As it has in every single game we have produced, it's impossible to read the digits. Lets make a proper one for a change, eh."!? -
To make it available in the engine code so other mods can use it is a very good suggestion. Just keep it out of core arma game play.

Is it not easy to steal someones work and upload it somewhere else already without steamworks? There must be possible for BIS to work out a deal with Valve to bring over some of the BIS-forum admins/armaholic crew or BIS employees to help monitor the steamworks uploads if content theft is a major problem and Valve does nothing about it?
