    Irish desert units

Two more samples of both DPM's from the same site as what sander suggested, although their both smaller. 20cm x 20cm sample of Irish Woodland DPM: http://camo.henrikc.dk/ireland_dpm_pattern.jpg 20cm x 20cm sample of Irish Desert DPM: http://camo.henrikc.dk/ireland_desertdpm_pattern.jpg Knowing that both are 20cm x 20cm should make it easier to find out how big the pattern should look on the uniform. Edit: If anyone has any experience in image editing maybe they could change the larger Desert sample into a Woodland one??? That may be an option

The pattern seems a little off, it repeats too much. I'd say making the texture bigger would fix it maybe?? Irish Desert DPM: http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/4921/7594367769a10249990080o.jpg Irish Desert DPM in Kabul: http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/1228/7594367769a10561232009o.jpg The pattern in the woodland troops is too small although it doesn't seem to repeat as much as the desert DPM. Increasing the texture size should fix that as well i think. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The PDF (full time army) use the Rabintex RBH303IE helmet. The helmet you have there is the old Orlite helmet, that hasn't been used by the PDF for a good few years and is only used by the army reserve. The Rabintex helmet is almost exactly like the american MICH or ACH helmet, leaving the helmet as the default american one would be close enough, without having to make an entirely new model. Helmet Pic: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/ed/Scanned_photos_024.jpg -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also the backpack is off, the standard daysack used by the PDF is just a basic sack with one big pocket and a pocket in the lid with compression straps around the outside. Daysack: Much larger pics of daysack: http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/8756/7594367769a10678153201o.jpg (note the Defense Forces emblem printed on the back) http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/9178/7594367769a9923338787o.jpg -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's pictures of other pieces of equipment used by the PDF: Knee/Elbow pads + Goggles: http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/5318/7594367769a10678153245o.jpg Large Backpack the Lowe Alpine Saracen pack: http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/5461/7594367769a10678153165o.jpg http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/6670/7594367769a10678152646o.jpg http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/6844/7594367769a10678152692o.jpg Body Armour: http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/632/7594367769a10678152809o.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d1/Scanned_photos_023.jpg I also have detailed pictures of the battlevest in use by the PDF, showing closeup pics of each of the different pouches and pockets on the vest. If have any questions about weapons or equipment or anything like that then just ask ;)
