Was looking for a mod specialized in this area. 500-600 units smooth specialized with 25000 viewdistance mod. -
What about "setviewdistance" 25000 meters? Im aware of the game settings, but they are not enough to have 600 units run smoothly on full viewdistance. Think some models could have less polygones and take away some animations would get higher fps. Like to open up the strategical part of the game. Realistic artillery and antiair defence simulations. 100% agree, and to add it´s a great shooter, not just a game. But very far from a military simulator, and it just go further and further away. In a military simulator you have all the weapons and units that is in arma, and a few more, but they are EQUALLY represented, emagine Arma was in for racing and go all car and tyres grip on road became important. Suggestion for Arma3 is to either start from OFP again, or to start from scratch with a new game engine. Or just go on, but dont say it´s a military simulator. It is a tactical shooter. -

Not necessary, with sliders you could adjust everything on what mission you play, spec OPS in town with low number of units you could have everything on full and lower the view and render distans. 5000 meters up in the air you just dont need the details and could set everything on low and keep viewdistance at full. Now what´s wrong about that tell me. -

The good stuff dont need to be changed, and not worth talking about in this thread. Just trying to stop BIS to go to close to infantry sim, and back off from it as far as possible without ignoring infantry completly, just make it balanced with other units in game. To make it more clear, to mutch work have given the infantry, and the other units being ignored. Let dragon rising take care of the infantry simulation. It´s just not the right base to make a infantry sim. -

100% agreed with this and many other things in this post. That´s make me think strange toughts about BIS as a company, are they really serious about the game? -

Anyone heard anything about this going to be fixed? And what is it with chaplain DMK? Nobody is going to force you to play on that position, so what´s the problem? Let the bot´s do the job.

Mp size is not so mutch more in Arma2, but it could be, and thats what i talking about. -
Yes, what obout a realistic animation when they blay base ball inside there camp, they cant do that if they cant slide, and if they cant play baseball it´s not realistic.:D

Yes it need to be vietnam im sure of it, couse vietnam with all it´s leafs and very heavy vegetation is really the start of a edge for Arma2, the other side is Sahara, and everything there between.
