    Challenger 2

    Ulu is the jungle/sticks.
  2. If they're for padded inserts, nobody's told us mate. As usual! I'd heard all the fuss over on the Perce side about how it's supposed to be worn. Matt I'll get those phots to you later, not sure how much use they'll be though.
  3. The new shirts are gash. The pockets on the forearms are completely useless and the velcro needs to be removed to roll them properly. As for the cut.......well we're tucking ours in, but that's just how we roll  As for the amount of Velcro on them...........ffffffffffuuuuuuu....... Matt, I've got a few close-ups of the shirt if you still need any for reference.
  4. Cleggy, looking good so far mate. If you need any reference phots, fire me a PM and I'll see what I can do.
  5. JohnathanBateman, as Goos mentioned, UKSF are now using a lot of kit which is similar to US issued kit as well as privately purchased items, namely plate carriers and helmets, hence looking more like their US SOF counterparts, than the traditional '80s/'90s look of belt webbing, warmers hats and waz 'taches. Goos, nice work so far. A couple of things that I've noticed; Kneepads. The lads down at Poole (I'm assuming Hereford too) are using a newer set of Crye Precision Multicam trousers with built in kneepads. I appreciate you can't alter the models, but you can get around it to some extent by texturing areas such as the straps. (Reference phot lifted from the web; http://mcpacman.files.wordpress.com/2007/09/imgp3263.jpg) Patches. Plate carriers are toppers with velcro for attaching patches. A Union Jack or Blood Type patch here and there wouldn't be amiss. Allyness saves lives and all that.

    Prismatic compass

The latest ACE update turns your compass into a working Prismatic.
  7. I've managed to sort mine out by updating JayArmA2Lib mate.
  8. I'm getting the same problem. My game crashes straight away, no error messages appear, but I get this in my ArmA2oa.rpt Exe timestamp: 2010/12/16 02:03:34 Current time: 2010/12/19 20:05:04 Version 1.56.76134 Item str_disp_server_control listed twice I've tried using exThreads to no avail. Any thoughts?
  9. What about the less "gucci" side of the Private security world, such as force protection, mentoring teams, etc? Not every PSC has the funding of firms like Blackwater or Aegis, or offer the same services. Reference helos for example, there's at least one PSC out in Afghanistan using old Mi8's. Just some food for thought mate.
  10. Matt, looking good so far mate, a couple of points though; Cyalumes on the assault vest could do with being removed. Boots - Could you change them to black, as suede/tan boots aren't de rigeur with CS95. As ever, if you need any reference phots, drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do.
  11. Good work on the update Matt, very nice. The L129 is waz!
  12. Yeah, fair one with the reference phot, was just going by how I wear it. I'm sure you've got far bigger things to work on than a chinstrap! As for your drawing, yep, that's what I meant.
  13. Matt, looking good, as usual mate, keep it up. Finally had a chance to play with the current units on release, they're mega! Small thing with that new helmet though, it's just me being uber-nit picky, the mic on the PRR should be over the chin-strap, not between the strap and the cheek. Anyway, good to see you're still working on these, keep it up.

    P:UKF Weapons Pack.

Or you can man up! :D

    P:UKF Weapons Pack.

Range drum on the SUSAT? First is 300m, then has settings for 4, 5, 6, 7 and 800m. da12th, they're fine as is without the adjustable sights mate.
  16. Yomping in 4 Romeo and Morrisons steak pies. You blokes are getting me all hot and bothered.
  17. Err, it's not like the SLR. Aesthetically or internally. One is a modified FN FAL battle rifle, one is a marksman rifle not based around the FN FAL. It's more akin to something like the M110 SASS, as they're both based on the AR10 design. Your previous idea of using the HK417 as an interim place-holder was a better idea, given the 417 was one of the rifles in the running to fill the role that the LM&T (the L129) eventually won the competition for and is of a similar design, being based on the same lineage of weapon systems.
  18. You're correct, to an extent. The iron sight is typically issued to non-teeth arm units, however, as Lunatic will testify to, they get issued SUSATs on ops. Iron sights are also issued for jungle warfare. As for the SUSAT, again, correct, it's got an in-built peep-hole Emergency Battle-Sight on the top of the optic itself.
  19. Hoofing effort as always Rock & the team. Top notch.
  20. Well we've just been issued the new Combat Shotgun to keep handy......for close encounters.

    Scopes and ballistics

A couple of points; 1. The SUITs needle is opposite to that of the SUSAT(i.e it comes from the top of the sight, to the centre), the SUSATs comes from the bottom of the sight. As seen in this phot; 2. The tip of the SUSAT needle is red at night, whilst the whole thing is black when the trilux knob is off (when used for day shoots.)
  22. Poacher, might want to resize those images oppo! Matt, great work on the IW mate, coming along nicely, however, check those phots Poacher posted and take a look at your own barrel & flash eliminator, you should see a few slight differences. Despite that, top work with the units. If you need any more phots of kit like the assault pack etc, let me know & I'll see what I can do.
  23. Extra ammunition - check Radio - check Spare ancils for your radio - check Extra Water - check That's pretty much all you'll need in a daysack on an attack/patrol. Maybe a LAW/ILAW. Poncho or bivvy bag between every few blokes. Carrying about all your dry kit, spare kit, Obs kit, OP bits, sleeping bag? Not unless you're going into a harbour.
  24. That's why Assault Order includes a daysack on top of your webbing.
  25. That'd be fairly chad. Unless it was a launcher-class thing you could ditch. Even then it'd be fairly pointless. Doing anything other than yomping with a bergen isn't really viable. Unless you meant daysacks, in which case I wouldn't mind seeing a few units with daysacks myself.
