Its not his (the OP) processor, I used to get 20-40 FPS easy with my old Athlon 4400+ X2 @ 2.3GHz .. Its definitely the GFX card.

Have you tired -cpuCount=2

I have a Phenom Quad.. I seen a increase of about 20-30 FPS

After 5 hours im still under 2GB. Mind you I have Firefox open with 4 tabs open, and MSN messenger with 2 windows open.
