Would you mind explaining that to me? I get the jist of it, but im a super noob and have no experience with scripting just the basic functions.

Yah Dale is right, I would like it so if you get killed you respawn as a paratrooper above the beach. Also I am trying to do what they have in multiplayer where you take a area and then can respawn in it. I know this isn't possible as purely single player so I am trying to make this map a 2-8 person coop map.

Hey everyone, i've read a bunch of stuff on respawning players but it has only showed me how to make players instantly respawn from where they died or respawn from *a* base, or from a group. I've seen extensive respawn options in some of the multiplayer modes that people have made but im doing a beach assault map and im trying to make it so that if you die in the beginning of it you can respawn as a paratrooper onto the beach.
Im also trying to make it so once you get onto the beach you can take a certain area and it then becomes a respawn point also ontop of the respawning from paradrop. I would settle for just one of these respawn options but I haven't been able to figure out either. I tried to use Murray's guide but wasn't much help. Any help or ideas would be great, thanks. Also, sorry if there a thread for something similar to this somewhere, I couldn't find it.

anyone? It doesn't have to make them stay standing necessarily it would just be nice if they didn't become so useless.

Hello everyone. Im having a problem with my AI in my mission going prone and become idiots. Its a beach assault map and many of them are behind barricades or bunkers and as soon as any gun shots start going off 90% of the AI soldiers guarding the beach go prone. That would be that big of a problem but they do not get back up ever and seem to lose all aggressiveness once they go prone. I see enemy soldiers walk by the prone soldiers and shoot them in the back and i've yet to see more than two try to shoot anyone while being prone in about 10 play tests. Is there anyway to force them to stay standing?

Thats odd, I've done exactly the same thing with a helicopter before and it worked. Only tips I can help with is when I did it with a helicopter, also a boat, i made the transport unload for the driver and the get out way point for the squad inside directly on top of each other. Also, if you don't need the truck to keep moving somewhere else after you can use the unload way point instead of the transport unload, I've had those both work. Also make sure the squad getting into the truck, the one who's going to be leaving, goes directly from a way point to "get in" the truck and then the very next way point is a "get out" way point on the same spot as the transport unload. Hope that helps.

4) I have done this many times. So, let me try to answer both your questions simultaneously. You have your helicopter fly to a specific point through way points and then use the *transport unload* way point and the helicopter will land and let them out..but you have to have the squad in the helicopter have a *get out* way point at the exact same spot, or damn near, as the helicopters transport unload spot. You may then have the squad that was in helicopter move to any way points or seek and destroys or what not. As for the helicopter, immediately following the transport unload you may have them continue onto a next way point to do whatever. Let me know if that was unclear at all.

Hey im trying to put units inside a boat, so I can make a beach assault mission, and im trying to understand what you wrote about the force embark..but were would that go? I am a super noob, so sorry if my lack of modding knowledge is offensive, but is their some editing tool other than just opening up edit unit? I set each unit in the squad to *in cargo* and I named the squad A1, and I named the boat R1 but I need to put that in the initialization box? Anyways, if you could explain it to a second day editor of this game with no experience besides operation flashpoint, and only simple stuff, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks Carpaazi it would be very useful to be able to do them all at once instead of individually. Sorry but would you mind explaining what you mean by linking them to a trigger so it will apply to all of them?
