Operation Ground Breaker:

Changelog:
v0.1
- Initial release
v0.2
- Added parameter to set "enemy strength"
- Added parameter to enable/disable tags
- Added a backpack to medics so they can have a medikit(there is some problem directly adding a medikit to vest/uniform it seems)
- Changed all units skills (except aimingAccuracy) from 1.0 -> 0.85
General info:
Parameter setting for aimingAccuracy(default = 0.3)
No respawn
No revive
Briefing:
First step in controlling Stratis is to control Stratis Air Base, but before sending in the marines your job is to destroy the communication tower. You will be inserted by boat and extracted by helicopter.

Yes it would be nice to get this fixed, voted up.

To be honest it is fine as it is , no need to over blur screen
Fully agree :)

They're just two knobheads who have committed a crime for not much reason.I have words for those mentally disturbed people that i sadly can't use around here...

^^^^^ This is FALSE, when you buy an early-access game, again, you're not pre-ordering it, you're PURCHASING the game in its early stage to participate (in a form of suggestion and collaboration) to its development.
You forgot to mention that you get a huge discount, but of course thats not in your interest to mention.
Not yet sure if this is a valid observation or not.... but after the stable branch update last night I noticed that situations in Al-Fallujah that definitely would have got me killed before, were now somewhat more forgivable. I was setting the spawned enemy to aimingAccuracy = 0.2, but was still being slaughtered before. Last night, I seemed to be having a much easier time if it.Since release i've spawned units with aimingAccuracy = 0.3 which i found very manageable.

That video gave me one hell of a gaming boner. Just so cool. Can't wait to have one of those.Indeed, but after reading more here the "WAUW" went down a bit, but in such a low price range i might give it a go.

This is about the BIS fatigue implementation so let's just focus on that.
-
I agree that ACE fatigue was too much, but bis fatigue is not even near that point and as i said it's not adjusted yet(we are still in alpha).
Personally i don't care if you are punished on how far you can run or how fast you can run as long as it's adjusted properly so you benefit from going light.
-
dev build? :DDeveloper branch.
-
but gasping like an old man after a 500m jog is simply not fun for anyone.I'm pretty sure it hasn't been fully adjusted.
Also you have the power as a mission maker to disable fatigue: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/enableFatigue
Perhaps a there will be a difficulty setting to enable/disable it, who knows.

Anybody having problems hosting a internet session? With any mission i try to host theres no roles to select
-
Okay i see your problem now, when hosting a internet session(not dedicated) you can't select role it happens with all missions including bis missions. Something seems broken.
Are you using dev build?
-
Btw you dont need the isServer check, onPlayerConnected is only executed on the server.
-
Okay just tested and it started fine on dedicated server. Try and change one of your playable units to player and see if that helps.
Btw, when you start something explodes at your base which makes an chainreaction so everything blows up and makes a lot of screen lag!!

Can't download, it ask me to login.
Use some free filesharing service like: http://www.filedropper.com/
-
Upload and post/pm link to mission so we can give it a test.
-
I probably should not saying this, but it keeps me wondering is BI's technology(engine) isn't advanced enough to achieve beautiful water effect, terrain shadow cast... think about 3 years ago Just Cause 2 have all these and a huge map(around 900km^2) too...Just took a look at some video showing the JC2 map and yes it is indeed a huge map... of barely nothing compared to it's size.

And this proves again that if you have problems with ArmA then first try run it clean, without any addons or anything to rule them out as the problem.
-
Thanks, I will give it a try.Edit:
Tried it with a 128MB Ram-Disk and it stayed the same.
:)
Also try install the game on your SSD if thats possible for you, it made a world of difference when i went from HDD to SSD back in ArmA 2.
-
Im with bizzr32 we didnt have to pay for bf3 when it was a beta? so why arma 3?????You did not HAVE to pay for the alpha:
1. There was plenty of free alpha lite keys available.
2. You could simply have chosen not to buy the alpha.
-
When you are in the server browser and fail to connect then try stay there and restart dedicated server and try join again.
-
no with arma3server.exe
-
Post a link to the mission or pm me a link then i'll test it.
-
What the Frig do you think im still here for seeing how many other people have the same issue. But i guess you knew this didnt youOhh i'm sorry but this post got me confused:
Dear b.i.si have now quit your stupid game ! Wasted my money didnt i.... Get a more stable platform without all the freezing up and crashing sooo over it ~! U can place the $40 u know where

How did you play it?
Did you just burst forward?
Which aimingAccuracy did you use and did you try adjust it(mission parameter)?
Are you using and AI enhancement mods?
How many players were in?
I only tested on a local dedicated on "regular" difficulty with standard values. In mission i tested with aimingAccuracy on 0.3(all other skills is set on 1) and as i was playing solo and was able to pick off quite a few enemies i found it managable.
If you have time today then let's give it a go on my server and see if it plays different. Anyway i will add parameters for the rest of the enemy skills and add a parameter for aprox. how many enemies there will be.
Did them with drawIcon3D see here: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/drawIcon3D
