  6. Your always welcome to join in on the missions i host, see details in my sig :) In the demo i had no problems getting 6 players in but here in retail there's far between that happen.. sadly :(

    AI behaviour

    I got inspired by that defending the castle idea and made a similar mission. Thanks for that :cool: I use 4 groups attacking from north, south, east and west. The groups each got 1 waypoint(search and destroy) leading into the middle of the castle with 'open fire' and in 'combat mode'. This seems to work just fine :)

    Well i would like to create a 6 man group for coop missions. I host missions i have made myself which takes team work to stand a chance in! If your interested in being a part of starting this group up let me know. In any case your welcome to join the action without being a part of the group as long as there's an emty character :) See details in sig.
  10. I think it would be fine if it got supported but there's simply too many more importants things that need to be fixed first. Some people get crashes, others can't play the campaign etc. I think that needs more attention right now than implementing support for FreeTrack!

  12. I have tried similar in a mission i made... There's a T-90 that knows exactly where i am after 1st shot is fired in mission, even when walking all they way around the city it's located in it still shoots me the second i'm in line of fire, that be from 50-500m+ So only way to defeat it is to just peak out enough from a house corner that i can see the very end of it and take it out by hitting that little visible part :p
  13. Huh not sure what your talking about :p My main issue is AI shooting you through foliage where a human in same position wouldn't be able to see anything. Some say it's because they can hear you, but when your like 100m away AI shouldn't be able to pinpoint you based on hearing.
  14. If thats the case AI really need to dramatically have their hearing toned down :p

I stated that if a human took same position at same location they had to shoot blindly as their view is blocked by grass, bushes and other foliage ;) This has been mentioned many times by many members, i have experienced this many many times in many different missions. Like i said, when i die and fly around as a crow i see AI shooting at team members through all kind of foliage. Yes i am aware that you can shoot through grass etc. but when i prone in the grass and have an idea about where the enemy is and shoot in that direction i gotta be lucky to actually hit/kill them! Even when kneeling it can be hard to get an overview.

If you read my post you would realize that i said: The current AI can prone in grass and still pinpoint your location and kill you within seconds, if a human takes that same position they would have to shoot in blind and be lucky to hit anything! P.S. I have never tried getting shot through buildings or grass!
  17. Well i see AI proning and shooting through bushes and high grass, a human in that exact same position would only be able to more or less shoot in blind. Yes i have seen this many times through death cam and while flying around as a crow i have seen many team members getting shot by AI in positions they really can't see jack from! I really hope this will be fixed in near future as i would like to be able to hide in the grass! I really like this game and have very few issues with it, but this one is a bit annoying.

    COOP games, do they ever actually end?

    I host missions that mostly takes place within 1000m, attack on a base in a city or a camp deep in the forest. I like action right away and not having to travel 10k to see some action.

    Video Settings - 'Postprocess effects'

    The only difference i noticed between disabled and low was some lightning effects like sun glare reflection on objects, so keep it on low if you like that :)

    I hate vehicles also did in BF2, now i just hate BF2 :p

They are saved because i still got my demo missions(missionname.ArmA2DemoWizardMission) which i hosted while waiting for retail :) Depends on where your playing because my missions always have instant action(almost) as i hate walking/driving/flying 10k to find the enemy :p @n88tr If you like making maps/missions this is really nice in ArmA II... one thing you should know before buying this game is that it takes a REALLY good box to run it with very high video settings!

    I just tried it on low, only difference i noticed was the sun glare reflecting over realistically on stone/wood walls etc. Even if it couldn't be turned off i would love this game, but now that i can i do prefere it off :p

    Thanks for the info :) I like the effect that the horizont gets blurry when turning fast etc. but this 'Postprocess effects' makes it blurry even when not moving :p Weird because i just tried a night mission and tracers looked awesome. I feel the game has been re-born for me :p My Interface Resolution and 3D Resolution is both set to 1600x1200 and everything is maxed out except 'Postprocess effects' which is now disabled.
