this moring i installed win7 build 7264 and set up a raid0 and i wil instal arma2 in about 10mins and check what performace i get now whit the new win7 build and raid0

Wow that's an impressive FPS increase!!! Is this playing with bots, or were you just testing in an empty server?

  2. Please refrain from trolling and insulting the developers thank you, pretty sure unless you have tourettes you can make a forum post without such inflammatory comments.
We'll here's an analogy: it's like buying a car, that you think has four wheels, but after you've bought it you find out that it only has 2... I don't think the buyer would be happy about that. Yes, I know a car costs HEAPS more than a computer game, but it's the principle behind it that I'm trying to point out.

I checked what version of XP I'm running and it's 32 bit so I shouldn't be getting these errors. :/ Does anyone know what I could do about this?

Manually patching isn't perfect because, it still says that I'm running version 1.00, so I can't use a lot of the mods out there.

  3. First of all, I got a shit load of errors when it installed itself (I got about 30 or so), which I just clicked ignore.

Once it was "patched" I went to my ArmA II folder and found that the patched files had been installed in the wrong place! Instead of being installed into E:\Program Files\ARMA II\Arma 2, they were installed in E:\Program Files\ARMA II... so I had to manually cut and paste them into their proper locations. Once I had done this I started up the game but got a pop-up that said something along the lines of bin\config.bin/cfgworlds/[some random error here], and found that my command menu had been messed up (I would give a command such as "get in" and my characted would tell them all to halt).

I dunno wtf BI's problem is, but it seems as though they don't really know what they're doing. C'mon, you guys are PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMMERS! These are amateur mistakes you're making.

So right now I have to use the v1.00 bin.pbo with the manually patched v1.02 files.

  4. I really love Arma 2's gameplay, but I hate that it feels as though it's every squad for himself when it comes to vehicles. Why can only squad members jump into the same vehicle as you, and not anyone else?! It would be a lot better if anyone could ride in your vehicle, BUT if there where no more spaces in it and one of your squad members needed a lift, THEN the peson who isn't in your squad would be kicked out automatically when you squad member entered the vehicle.

Could someone please help me make a mod like this, it would make my Arma 2 experience a lot more enjoyable and a lot less frustrating.

  5. I dunno why its doing this because I meet the recommended system specs:

    HD 4850 1GB

    E8500 3.0GHz

    4GB DDR2 800MHz

    Windows XP Pro

It'll randomly just hang and the only way to fix it is to give my PC a forced shutdown with the button on my case which probably isn't very good for it.

    Please BI fix the game!
