  1. I dont think Frostbite 2.0 is as open and mod friendly than RV3.

    You honestly think BIS is just going to drop Arma II and the expansion just to license this engine and make Arma 3???? Wouldn't that give them a bad reputation for dropping a game so early in your books?

    Oh wait do you even have the game?

  2. I wish it includes the following effects: (i can wish, xmas is coming)

    - ambient noises : doors creaking in the wind (when in town), cans rattling in the pavement, distant ak snapping...etc

    - static radio cracking & hissing, radio traffic like in Generation kill (i hate that "beep" sound in radio)

    - wounded soldiers yelling and crying.

    - cursing "get that fucka!..." "light ´em up"... , when engaging enemy.

    ...but I guess the sound addon focuses mainly just weapon sounds...well that was my wish.


  3. Slightly off topic but I wish AA2 would have some of the atmosphere shown in that video, not to mention:

    physics

    animations

    sounds

    destroyable buildings

    AND YES! I know that BFBC2 is an arcade shooter and a "tube run" so no flaming on me!

    There´s no way future arma2 patches will include any "physics" or faster netcode...those shitty bugs and crappy animation will be there as long as BIS holds on that shitty game-engine.

    Wake up BIS...you were lucky that OFP2 failed to deliver, so you still hold the crown..,.but just barely.

    AA2 is a lost cause, no need to patch it anymore...dump all this shit and give us ARMA3 with new 3d-engine with all the major aspects community has cried for years...time for sucking the old OFP-ARMA engine-titty is over!


  4. oops, wait, don't remove the @ sign, you should still use it as long as your modfolders have it. You had a typo in the CBA modfolder, you had @JBA in your shortcut while you should have @CBA there.

    This is what your shortcut should look like:

    F:\Games\ArmA2\arma2.exe -nosplash -mod=@CBA;@Chatter_Addon;@TRSM_Tracked_Vehicles;@RH_Heli_sound_mod_1.01;@FLIR v1.1;@HiFi_Vehical_Weapons;@HiFi_AIR;SOW;@SLX;@JTD;@Japahto;@panthera;@Mi28

    and you should have your modfolders called @CBA, @Chatter_Addon etc..

  5. You don't need to type -mod= all the time, just do it like -mod=@mymod1;@mymod2 ... you can use ; to separate several modfolders.

    Also, your shortcut shows -mod=@JBA instead of CBA, that might be the problem ;)

    no go removing that @-sign, still gives me the "finger"... :confused:

    Got arma2 1.04 505-dvd version, all other addons work fine.


  6. Is there a "template"mission which would have civilians and ambient life already placed.

    Let´s say perhaps a chernarus map, where civilians are walking around and maybe doing some things (animations of daily chores)

    cars passing by...farmers attending pigs and cows, busses dropping off people and rabbits and boars hopping around, bears taking a shit in the woods :p

    I´ve tried to do it myself but animations look clunky, people just walk around in cycle...doesn´t just look real.

    also some additional objects added would be cool, ...i´ve tried to search such a template but haven´t found yet.

    Can anyone help?...

    JTD is the only one which gives the warning message.
